The #1 reason you should spend time with God today
Stop being your own harshest critic. We often feel like if we can't spend an entire hour in deep study, our devotional time doesn't "count." But what if five minutes is all it takes for Christ to speak to you?In this video, I’m sharing the number one reason you should start a devotional rhythm today. I open up about my own struggles with ADHD and "all or nothing" thinking, and how a short time in Luke 17 and Tim Chester’s Enjoying Jesus reminded me of something life-changing: Jesus has compassion on you. It’s not about your performance; it’s about His presence. Whether you have five minutes or an hour, God wants to meet you in His Word.Key TakeawaysThe Power of Five Minutes: Why "no minutes" is the only wrong amount of time.Compassion Over Performance: Learning to see yourself the way Jesus sees you.Practical Tools: Using resources like Enjoying Jesus or the Puritans to fuel your prayer life.Overcoming Distraction: Real talk on navigating ADHD and phone distractions to find a rhythm.Resources MentionedEnjoying Jesus by Tim ChesterScripture: Luke 17 & James 2If this encouraged you, please hit the like button and leave a comment—it helps this message reach more people who might be struggling today.Want to dive deeper?Check out my video on Bible Study Tips or learn how to get addicted to the Bible again using the links above.Grace and peace!#Devotional #ChristianLiving #BibleStudy #MentalHealth #Faith

God wants you to stop running from Him.
Too often, we find ourselves in sin. The Spirit uses the Word of God, a sermon, or even a random thought to convict us. In that moment, we have two choices: run away from God and stay in our sin or run toward God to find grace. What we choose makes all the difference in our lives.

I can't read anymore.
I've been really struggling to sit down and read. I've been using my phone too much, and it has really hurt my attention span. As a Christian, that's devastating because my faith is centered around God's Word and the truths of Scripture. I'm going to work to fight this, and I hope you'll join me.

3.5 I Am The Light Of The World (Advent) [Kids' Version]
This is the kids' version of episode 3 "I Am The Light of the World". As we celebrate Advent, the encroaching darkness of late autumn and winter mirrors the spiritual gloom we often face. We long for brighter days, symbolic of the hope illuminated by the promised Savior. From the shadows of Eden's fall to the darkest days in human history, God's Great Light emerges, fulfilling the prophecy of Isaiah. Jesus, the Son of God, declared as the Light in Genesis, pierces through sin's darkness. Jesus boldly declares His identity as the Light of the World, a radiant sun, dispelling the shadows. He reveals the darkness within hearts and addresses profound needs, offering salvation's light to all. This Advent reflection unveils the essence of the season—celebrating the arrival of the true Light. Strings of lights and Advent candles symbolize this radiant truth. As we meditate on Christ's glory, Matthew 5:14-16 challenges us to be lights, reflecting His brilliance. Even though Jesus ascended to heaven, His light shines through believers, like the moon in the night sky. Join us in this light-giving journey, understanding that, just as the world witnessed the Light, it now needs to see His glory through us.

2.5 I Am The Bread Of Life (Advent) [Kids' Version]
This is a kids' version of the Bread of Life episode. It is edited for kids and read by one of my daughters. It is designed to be used in either family worship or during your child's devotional time. Welcome to the Dwell With Christ Podcast. This is the first in a series of Advent articles I will read for the podcast. Our local church is doing a seven-week Advent series, so we will be starting early this year. In the holiday rush, Advent's true essence often fades amid shopping and festivities. Join us as we explore the profound message of Advent, reflecting on Jesus as the "Bread of Life" (John 6:47-51), offering eternal life. Discover how Jesus's compassion and miracles drew crowds seeking earthly gain, missing the deeper message. He redirected them, emphasizing hope in Him, not possessions. The metaphor of bread symbolizing life underscores that Jesus is the source of true life. Daily Readings: Day 1: Explore John 6:22-59, understanding Jesus as the Bread of Life and its impact on your life. Day 2: Dive into Exodus 16:1-36, anticipating the Savior, the true Bread of Life, and the gospel's greater hope. Day 3: Read 1 Corinthians 11:17-34, understanding the Lord’s Supper's significance in the church and its gospel connection. Read the full article at DwellWIthChrist.com

1. Why the "I Am" Statements at Advent?
This episode discusses why our church chose the "I Am" Statements for Advent this year, steering away from the usual narratives found in Matthew and Luke. We are starting early because we are doing a seven-week Advent Advent series. Here are three key reasons behind choosing this routine 1. They show us that Jesus is God. That's a major point of the I Am statements. 2. They help us see the Person and work of Christ. His identity and work are unveiled through these statements. 3. The "I am" statements are pivotal for grasping the purpose of Jesus's arrival during the Christmas season. Jesus is both God and man. We need to know why God came as a man. Don't only believe in these statements. Also, apply them to your life. Join me as we immerse ourselves in the "I Am" statements this Advent.
