Duck Soup | S2E3
This is it. This is the first episode that has us on COMPLETELY opposite sides of the fence. Louis, Ren and Donnie are left to secretly fill in for the (infamous) Chef Pierre after he quits cooking for Eileen's fancy business dinner. There's plenty of ridiculousness here, much to Ethan's delight...
-
Shutterbugged | S2E2
It's the picture day episode! Ren's cheeks swell up right before she has to take her 8th grade yearbook picture, meanwhile Louis has to bunk with Donnie for 2 weeks. Ethan decided to bump this episode up a few slots, making us pretty close with our rankings for this one! VOICEMAIL: 857-246-9731…

Starstruck | S2E1
Here we gooooo! Join us as we embark on tackling a whole new season of Even Stevens! Season 2 opens with what you probably refer to as "The BBMak Episode" or "The Lucky Penny Episode." We have a ton of fun breaking this one down, even though you can already see shades of our differing season two...

-
Almost Perfect | S1E20
It's time to PARTY, PARTY ALL NIGHT LONG AT THE CASA DE FIESTA!!! as we close in on the end of Season 1. This one brings us a fun and memorable Louis subplot. You know the one. The main plot revolves around Ren getting a "C" in wood shop. We're a little tough on Ren's characterization and wholly...
-
Strictly Ballroom | S1E19
This is the first episode that we both have ranked the same number! That's right: This is #7 on our lists. It's a super grounded episode with a lot of heart, laughs and strong development all around. In this one we're baffled by Ren's intense hairstyles, we mainly laugh/cringe at the…
more -
Movie Madness | S1E18
This episode is without a doubt one of the funniest and most quotable not only in Season 1, but in the entire series! Louis decides to make a short film titled "Three Eyes Wide Shut." If this movie actually existed, it would likely be in competition with Tommy Wiseau's "The Room" for best worst...
-
Get a Job | S1E17
Louis really wants a slushie machine for his room, so he opens a "Doggy Day Care" to earn enough money to buy one! We're on pretty neutral ground here. This episode has its moments, but suffers from 5 too many montages. Our Tweets segment is proof that the one thing everyone seems to remember…

Luscious Lou | S1E16
Chant it with us: "LUSCIOUS LOUUU! LUSCIOUS LOUUU!" Louis gets miraculously thrown onto LJH's wrestling team and he's pretty good! Everything's going great until he has to fight... a girl. Oh, boy. We air another listener voicemail, talk about how weird it might actually be to wrestle the…

Heck of a Hanukkah | S1E15
Welp, we're posting this 15 days after Hanukkah... but, it'll have to do!!! This is the probably closest we'll ever get to covering a holiday episode on or near the actual holiday, haha. Hope you all had a nice break! This episode is an absolute classic. Louis sorta-kinda-not really wishes he was...
-
Battle of the Bands | S1E14
Today we're tackling an absolutely classic episode! This one gives us the birth of the incredible fictional super-band The Twitty Stevens Connection and their hit "Sacramento Girl," One-off character number 9 Jason Bagwell, "The bunny in my brain goes hip-hop, hip-hop" ...among other fabulous...

So settle in...
-
After Hours | S1E13
Ren, Louis and Chloe (a.k.a. one-off character Number... 8? Honestly, we've lost count) break into school at night to complete a display for Lawrence Jr. High's 75th anniversary. That's literally it. Throw in some random hamsters, Jumbo-Size Crinkle Fries, plus a possibly hot laser maze and......
-
Deep Chocolate | S1E12
Louis and Twitty's friendship is on the rocks all because of a fancy scooter and some nasty chocolate! This episode includes a fantastic one-off character and some great performances all around! We talk about school chocolate sale memories, Brittany does her Shia LaBeouf impression one too many...
-
Secrets and Spies | S1E11
Ethan and I are baaaack to our regularly scheduled programming! It's time to talk about the episode where Ren moonlights as a karaoke singer (and apparently exclusively only performs "Dancing Queen" and nothing else) at a Japanese restaurant. You know what we're talking about. I'm very neutral...
-
Honey Boy Trailer Review + More!
THE "HONEY BOY" TRAILER IS FINALLY HERE! Ethan and I spend most of this review in utter disbelief that it's actually a real thing. We never thought we'd see anything remotely close to a Shia LaBeouf biopic that closely examines his Even Stevens years. It's incredible and we CANNOT WAIT to finally...
-

Helloooo, everyone! The podcast is back from the dead with a fun bonus episode hosted by me (Brittany) and my mom, Jeannie! Ethan is still recovering from a health issue that's been affecting his ability to speak, so that's why we've been away and are still unable to record at the moment. So, I...
-
Easy Way | S1E10
Louis channels his inner Shia LaBeouf by living and napping in a store window for two days straight in the name of charity. It ends up being a surprisingly deep and hilarious commentary on today's society and the sensationalism of vapid viral trends. Now that's what I call performance art!...
-
Scrub Day | S1E9
In this legendary season one episode, Louis finds himself personally targeted by the big tough 8th graders on Scrub Day -- the dreaded day of Junior High initiations. Also, Donnie needs to pick a historical character to dress as for a "living history" school pageant. It's pretty great. I promise...
-
Family Picnic | S1E8
Louis cheats in a kayak race at the annual family decathlon and has a guilt-ridden mental breakdown about it. That's it basically. This one marks another big gap between our lists. I have this episode at #41, whereas Ethan has it DEAD LAST at #65. We might disagree on a few things here, but I…

Kim Possible (2019) | Discussion and Review!
(Recorded 2/22/19, a week after the premiere.) The live action Kim Possible movie is here and it's exactly what you'd expect from a Disney Channel Original Movie live action adaptation of a cartoon. It's low budget and cheesy by default and that's something you need to accept and embrace before...
-
Jim Wise Interview (Coach Tugnut)
Our second cast and crew interview sure is a fun one! We talk with the multitalented Jim Wise, a.k.a. Coach Terry Tugnut! In addition to playing everyone's favorite insane gym teacher, he also wrote a lot of music for the series as well! He shares so many awesome things and gives us the inside...

Louis whacks One-off Character Number 4, low level local celebrity on campus Blake Thompson, in the face while doing less-than-stellar Marlon Brando impressions. One...
-
All About Yvette | S1E5
Neither of us really like this episode. It's at the bottom of both of our lists. Discussing the episode, however, somehow resulted in nonstop laughter! Here, we meet Ren's new placeholder BFF Charlotte. Charlotte's previous BFF Yvette (a.k.a. One-off Character Number 3) visits Sacramento and…

What'll Idol Do? | S1E4
In this episode we meet the second one-off character in the series -- Ren's conniving snake of a pre-high school mentor, June Marie. Ren is beyond excited to have June's help and thinks super highly of her, too bad June Marie has slimy ulterior motives. Meanwhile, Louis suspects someone stole one...
-
Take My Sister... Please! | S1E3
In our first major ranking gap, we discuss what most people probably remember as "The Talent Show Episode" or more affectionately, "The Mosey/Don't Mosey Episode." I have this one ranked at No. 14, whereas Ethan has it in his lower tier at No. 50! Through all of the plot holes that make no sense...
-

-
Swap.com | S1E1
In our first episode discussion, we talk about the "pilot episode" ...which isn't even the actual pilot episode and doesn't exactly function like one either. Louis trades School Nerd Ernie Morton a date with Ren in exchange for a knock-off Pokémon card. This podcast ep debuts ~fun~ segments like...
