The Forge Podcast
by Quenton Mendenhall
Welcome! The job of a master blacksmith is to take a useless, raw, and rough piece of metal and craft it into a tool for a specific use. This is accomplished through a process of repeated, intense heating in the scorching fires of a forge, which causes metal to be softened prepared to be brought to the anvil for hammering. As metal is malleable in intense heat, disciples are moldable when the fire of God falls. This is a space where we make ourselves subject to the fiery Word of God, that we might be shaped into useful weapons in the hand of the commander of heaven’s armies. This is a space where tried, tested, and forged brothers and sisters will share stories and experiences from their time in the fire. This is a space where, through dialogue and teaching, iron will sharpen iron and the sparks of revival will fly. This is for refining. This is for purity. This is for war. This is The Forge.
