Freestylin - Best of 2011 Volume One
Not a bad old year, all told. Certainly not if the next 2 hours are anything to go by. Some absolute blinders from artists we've championed in 2011, from Northumberland Funk Gods Smoove & Turrell down to the dancefloor filling London sound of Soulpersona. We've open te show with a track I became...

Freestylin 15th December 2011
What an absolute blinding 2 hours we've got tonight, the last "proper" show of 2011 before I took my well earned Christmas break. We've got the fabulously funktastic Funk against Fascism compilation as our Album of the Week. Put together by those talented chaps TotalCult, all profits raised go to...

Freestylin 1st December 2011
Inspired by good old Aunty Beeb's decision to broadcast something something other than pasty faced chaps with guitars on BBC7, I decided this week's show would pay homage to "Black American Pop at the BBC" ( ie I watched it then played 3 of the tracks ). Don't judge me. It's hard filling 2 hours...

Freestylin 10th November 2011
Roll up roll up for 2 of the most enjoyable hours of music you're likely to listen to all year, marred only by the occasional interjection from yours truly. We've got the rather large Tiger & Woods' “Wikileaks” album as our album of the week, a hastily put together 3s to play what I want any old...

Freestylin 3rd November 2011
Anyone fancy a bit of disco? PROPER disco – not like the Bee Gees & all that? Well, you've come to the right place as this week's chock full of the stuff. We've also got an album of the week by the fantastic J Boogie's Dubtronic Science & only the very best new releases in the world of soul,...

Freestyin 27th October 2011
Another action packed 2 hours in store this week. So action packed, in fact, that I completely forgot to do an album of the week OR a threes to play what I want any old time. Hey - I lead a stressful life!! It matters not though as we've got the rest of the usual features plus a ridiculous amount...

Freestylin 20th October 2011
Another week, another 2 hours of quality music. Japanese knob twiddler extraordinaire M-Swift provides our album of the week, laid back Long Beach hip hop trio Ugly Duckling are responsible for the 3s to play what I want, there's a bit of boogie'ing in the jungle thanks to Kool & his Gang, more…
