The Immortals go to France and pick up all the food you didn't want to eat, you monsters. Also they watch Agnes Varda's The Gleaners and I.

The Immortals are settling in for one of the longest films they've covered. Also, possibly one of the best. They look at the feminist masterpiece Jeanne Dielman 23, quai du Commerce 108 Bruxelles. (There will be a spoiler warning when they talk about the ending.)

Keep an eye on the pitcher because we got a screwball this week! The gang watches the delightful Preston Strurges comedy, The Palm Beach Story.

It's time for Sarah's bonus pick! She chose one of her all time favorite movies and gives the co-hosts a little law education as she talks about why My Cousin Vinny got so many things right. Then they watch The Tempest in space!

It's not the easiest film to find, but it's worth it. The Immortals review a groundbreaking piece of American cinema, Charles Burnett's Killer of Sheep. 

Where did she go? Where did we go?! Regardless, we are back to talk about an early Hitchcock thriller that he made before coming to America. 

What else could Episode 237 be? The Immortals have always been in the Overlook. They go deep into the Stanley Kubrick beloved adaptation of the classic Stephen King novel. One of the hosts even say this may be their favorite film! And perhaps not the host you think....(You only have four guesses.) Next episode was actually recorded recently!

In an episode that was clearly recorded last fall, Sarah, Austin and Pedro get into what the fans have been demanding. A long lost Brazilian short film! Turns out, it's actually really interesting but also quite distancing. The downloads for this episode are going to be insane. 

Austin continues his editing backlog with the Immortals looking at the Civil War film, Glory. It is about a group of black soldiers so of course it stars Matthew Broderick. Also Pedro talks about the 2021 Music Box of Horrors.

Don't believe the title! The Immortals watch the upsetting Michael Haneke film Funny Games. (The original, not the American remake). They spoil the whole movie as they discuss whether Haneke's thesis still applies today and if the movie can work without it.

No bees in this one! The Immortals go to a weird British isle and encounter The Wicker Man. No spoilers for the first half of the conversation and we warn you when we talk about the ending. (Watch it first! It's only 88 minutes!)

Pardon while we post this episode. The Immortals look at the 1974 Mel Brooks classic, Blazing Saddles. And two of them hadn't seen it before! And they didn't know it was co-written by a black writer until halfway through their first viewing! 

In the circus we have Dumbo and in the political circus we have dummies. The Immortals watch the 1942 Disney classic as well as one of Austin's favorite movies, 2009's In the Loop. It's not just because The Doctor swears up a storm in it, but it helps. Note -- Something went wrong with the Chicago audio and we apologize for the lesser quality. J.C., as always, sounds great.

The Immortals stay with Gong Li films from the early 90s with the Palm d'Or winning film, Farewell My Concubine.

The Immortals watch one of the most acclaimed films of the 90s, the Zhang Yimou film about a woman who becomes a rich man's fourth wife.

Finally a movie everyone has heard of! For whatever reason, the book has The Lord of the Rings trilogy as one entry and we try to do it justice. Thankfully....we're big fans.

The Immortals are back with their best friend Jean-Luc Godard where they discuss his traffic jam extravaganza Weekend. Also they talk about the Olympics.

FINALLY. The Immortals discuss the Belgian film from the 60s that you all won't stop tweeting demanding we cover. Here, for your amusement, is a podcast about The Man Who Had His Hair Cut Short.

Remember that time we were all trapped in our homes, slowly losing our minds? We watched Roman Polanski's Repulsion this week! 

The Immortals went back to the actual assignment and watched the acclaimed war epic by The Archers: The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp. Listen as they talk about how it could have only been made during World War II, the great performances by the three leads and how there isn't a Colonel Blimp in the movie.

All of The Immortals were all in the same room at the same time! J.C. visited Chicago so we all of course....ignored our actual Immortals assignment and watched our favorite film of 2021. Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar! They discuss a lot of their favorite jokes so we recommend you watch the film before hand. 

It's wedding season again! Join the Immortals as they head to a fancy home in Philadelphia to watch three different men try to marry Tracy Lord. Who can blame them?

After having a couple episodes in a row where The Immortals didn't watch the greatest films in the world, they had a great time with this irregular double feature. Listen as they are charmed by the female led wuxia classic, Come Drink with Me. They also talk about J.C.'s bonus pick, the legendary Werner Herzog documentary Grizzly Man.

No Sarah this week because she got got, SEE! The rest of the Immortals review the OG gangster film, Little Caesar starring Edward G. Robinson. But is the film any good? Or watchable?

Buckle in, it's time for another Clint Eastwood movie. The Immortals discuss if this is an anti-western or Sarah is just anti-westerns. Is this movie against the Union or probably also unions? Also, he spits on a scorpion.   At the end of the episode, Austin mistakenly says the next movie stars James Cagney. It does not. Don't @ him. 

It has been teased forever but it's finally out. Austin and Pedro watched every episode of the CBS adaptation of Stephen King's novel Under the Dome. And they lost their damn minds. In this podcast, Austin wrote out a full summary of the entire series and they read it at the top of the episode so you can follow along if you haven't seen the show. 

This episode should have come out several weeks ago, but the Immortals lent out all of their editing equipment to their boss. (Enjoy all of the Oscar talk!) But once they get past that silliness, they discuss the Billy Wilder classic comedy(?). 

Star Trek Voyager and Firefly are both set in space and almost aired at the same time. Close enough of a connection for Austin! He and Sarah talk about these recently picked TV shows and how their worlds operate from a character and thematic standpoint. 

Like we say every episode, thank god for J.C. They bring us up to speed to give additional context for Paul Schrader's unconventional and beautiful biopic of the Japanese playwright, Yukio Mishima.   

The Immortals are back to talk about World War I. Instead of an American silent film, they are watching Peter Weir's emotional story of two men in the battle of Gallipoli. 

It's BODY HEAT, one of the sweatiest films of all time. The gang talks about how it's basically just Double Indemnity but with a new random law loopholes. And sex. 

Austin, Pedro and J.C. are back to talk about a silent film. Sarah is out this week which means left to their own devices, they spend too much time talking about Broadway adaptations and the premise of My Best Friend's Wedding. Then they get to the 1931 F.W. Murnau film set in the South Pacific and how it represented the culture and the characters.

Last week was Scotland, this week The Immortals are off to Australia to watch Gillian Armstrong's gorgeous film, My Brilliant Career. Also J.C., Austin and Sarah bookend the review talking about theatre and Pedro talks about a terrible game show.

The Immortals need to go to Scotland to look at the stars. Just kidding, world's on fire. But maybe one day we can travel like the lead in Local Hero and meet Peter Capaldi....

You know what's a gift? The fact we spent way more time on Pedro's bonus pick of Disney's Hercules than the W.C. Fields "classic" that made us want to pull out our hair. We won't say we're in love with it.

JUST YOU WAIT 'ENRY 'IGGINS! Austin is so happy to talk about one of his favorite musicals, but what did everybody else think? Was the ending good? Was there too much yelling? Eliza's accent, bad? Find out! Also you will learn Pedro's bonus pick for next episode. And then at the very end you'll learn what it actually will be when he changed his mind days after recording.

It's been a minute but it's finally time to talk about a movie that Austin hadn't seen before. The Immortals watch the 1977 Senegalese film Ceddo. 

Austin and Sarah are on the bonus episode to talk about the Eurovision Song Contest, but they are not experts. Thankfully Sarah's friends Grace and Pelks are! Listen as they discuss the boldest of bold trends, performers that got zero votes, and how queer friendly Eurovision has been. This may be the closest we get to world peace.

Suicide is painless, but you know what isn't? A worthwhile examination of how we treated women in 70s comedies! The Immortals range from calling MASH a satirical masterpiece to trash that should be burned. 

This is Jeopardy! Sarah, Pedro and Austin discuss how they grew up with the show and why it may win the argument for being the best game show ever. 

The Immortals return from their break with a delightful Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers musical.   Also they caught up on what they're watching which includes two HBO Spanish shows, one Canadian sitcom and one American sci-fi epic. Can you guess what they are? I can! I've already heard the episode!

Sarah and Austin are back to talk about another bonus TV show. This time one of the all time great cop show -- Homicide: Life on the Street

Yes, finally another superhero show. Sarah and Austin talk about the cult UK show Misfits.   Warning -- Sarah does spoil a surprise in the Season One finale but she does say that she's about to do it.

Oh boy, it's Oldboy. After we talk about the TV of 2020, we go all in on spoilers for one of the craziest movies of the 2000s. It's a whole thing!   We're taking two weeks off (on purpose!) and we'll be back at the end of January. Bonus episodes to come!

Straight up, how many of you have watched The Big Parade? The 2.5 hour silent film about WWI? J.C., Pedro and Austin will tell you if you should or not. After we talk more about The Crown.
