Are Experts Still Reliable? AI, Bias, and the Collapse of Credentialism

Is expertise losing its authority in the age of AI? In this episode of The Inquiry Theory, we break down credentialism, the growing skepticism toward experts, and how artificial intelligence is reshaping the way we understand knowledge. We explore whether experts are truly infallible, or if blind trust in credentials has created a false sense of authority. With AI tools now bridging the gap between expert-level insight and everyday understanding, the question becomes: are we more informed—or just more confident? We also dive into the hidden risks of AI, including built-in biases and the danger of using it as a shortcut instead of a tool for critical thinking. From there, the conversation expands into the declining value of college degrees, and whether traditional education still holds the same weight in a rapidly evolving digital world. On the cultural side, we unpack the rise of echo chambers online—why they exist, why they’re not entirely good or bad, and how they can limit intellectual growth and perspective. Finally, we tackle one of the most controversial debates today: meritocracy vs equality—including equality of opportunity vs equality of outcome—and what that means for society moving forward.

Trading Tangents: Political weaponization of data, church protesters in Minneapolis, US invaded Venezuela with space weapons??

Welcome to The Inquiry Theory. In this episode, we break down several major current events through context, data, and critical analysis. We discuss the recent Minneapolis protests, why certain actions are not protected under the First Amendment, and where lawful protest ends and unlawful disruption begins. We also unpack the claim that “Obama deported more people than Trump”, explaining how data interpretation, definitions, and statistical framing can dramatically change the narrative. From there, we examine reports of the Venezuelan military being outmatched by U.S. technological superiority, including discussion around advanced warfare systems and so-called “space weapons.”As always, this episode isn’t about telling you what to think—it’s about asking better questions, challenging surface-level headlines, and offering thoughtful perspectives on what’s happening right now.

ICE Deportations in Minneapolis: What the Story of a 5-Year-Old Leaves Out

Amid growing division over ICE deportation efforts in Minneapolis, a developing story involving ICE and a 5-year-old child is being circulated widely, often framed in a way that escalates public tension. As with many breaking news stories, early narratives are frequently underdeveloped and lack crucial context. This is partly due to the nature of unfolding events, where verified details emerge over time. However, it is also driven by ideological framing that encourages immediate emotional reactions rather than careful analysis. When information is selectively presented, public understanding can be shaped before the full set of facts is known.First impressions are powerful, but they are often incomplete. That is why it is important to approach developing stories—especially those involving immigration enforcement and children—with intellectual humility. Holding rigid conclusions too early can prevent people from accurately assessing new information as it becomes available. We encourage individuals to form their own opinions while remaining open to revision. A willingness to reassess beliefs in light of new facts is essential for honest discourse, particularly in emotionally charged situations like ICE enforcement actions in Minneapolis. As more details continue to emerge, the key question remains: are we responding to verified facts, or to a narrative designed to inflame division before the full picture is clear? What do you think about how this story is unfolding?

Violent Offenders Released, Speech Criminalized, and a Nation Divided: What Is Going On?

In this episode of The Inquiry Theory, Micah and Ethan unpack a turbulent week of headlines and deep cultural questions. We start with the proposed JAIL Act, a U.S. bill that would allow victims’ families to sue judges who release violent offenders—highlighted by the shocking Chicago subway case involving a man with 72 prior arrests who was freed before setting a woman on fire. From there, we pivot to the United Kingdom’s escalating crackdown on “hate speech,” including proposals to remove jury trials for offenses carrying under five-year sentences, citizens being arrested for social-media posts, and even travelers being detained for legally shooting guns abroad. We discuss how the UK’s criminal-justice system is drifting toward punitive speech policing, and how this contrasts with American free-speech protections. The conversation then shifts to the aftermath of the Charlie Kirk assassination, public reactions, conspiratorial claims, and what his death reveals about the cultural belief that “words are violence.” We analyze whether political rhetoric now justifies real-world violence in the eyes of the public—and why that is dangerous for any society. In the second half, we explore major new claims in archaeology about civilizations potentially tens of thousands of years older than previously believed, and how academic gatekeeping shapes public understanding of history. From ancient stone-melting theories to underwater structures in Peru, we examine why certain ideas are embraced while others are dismissed. This wide-ranging discussion blends politics, law, culture, conspiracies, and scientific skepticism—asking what happens when institutions lose public trust, when free speech erodes, and when official narratives no longer match reality.Topics Covered:The proposed U.S. JAIL Act and judicial accountabilityChicago subway attack and repeated violent-offender releasesUK proposals to remove jury trials for certain offensesCitizens arrested for memes, jokes, and “offensive” speechThe Charlie Kirk assassination and public reaction“Words as violence” vs free-speech absolutismAcademic resistance to rewriting ancient human historyClaims of pre-Incan advanced civilizationsGovernment overreach, cultural collapse, and the future of Western freedomIf you enjoy open, honest conversation without filters—or you want to understand why trust in institutions is collapsing—this episode is for you.Subscribe on YouTube, Spotify, TikTok, and Instagram for daily clips and full episodes.#FreeSpeech #UKNews #JailAct #JudicialReform #CrimeInAmerica #CharlieKirk #PoliticalViolence #HateSpeechLaws #Censorship #UKPolitics #AmericanPolitics #AncientCivilizations #InquiryTheoryPodcast #CurrentEventsPodcast #CultureWar

We as Americans need to talk about this...

First, we pray for Charlie Kirk's family that peace finds them. Second, in this moment we need to step back and tone down rhetoric. DO NOT COMMIT ANY ACTS OF VIOLENCE, ALL OF US AMERICANS ARE BETTER THAN THAT. We need to have a serious conversation in this country about rhetoric. We cannot continue down this path of hatred for one another. We are all Americans, we all have families, we all have loved ones, we all want to live and prosper. The only difference is our ideas on how to achieve that. That being said there is a dark force at work, we have leaders driving a wedge between us. Mental illness is plaguing our younger generations and there are people who use that to radicalize them. We give a few of our immediate thoughts on the situation in this video, we will post a more in depth discussion soon about how it got so bad, and how we can fix this. Please in the meantime live as Charlie did, follow his example of discussion and debate, not violence and hate. To those of you watching this that think he was part of the problem. We beg that you actually watch his debates, the full thing not just clips on social media. You will quickly see he is not what you've been led to believe.
