James Clear: "You have to fall in love with boredom..." | Quote 5
James Clear - author of Atomic Habits. The quote was from a recent newsletter which he releases every Thursday. The key is to do the same thing, consistently, for as long as necessary to see the results you desire. Booker T. Washington: "The number of people who stand ready to consume one's time..." | Quote 4
Booker T. Washington - this quote was mentioned in a book Ryan Holiday wrote (can't remember which one). Marcus Aurelius: "Don't Fill Your Mind With All the Bad Things that Might Still Happen..." | Quote 2
Marcus Aurelius - one of my favorite people to ever exist. I think I've read a quote or learned something from him every single day the past 2 years. His work has been an integral part of my life during this time period and has helped shape who I am 2 years later. There will be plenty of his words throughout this series. My links:TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@jakeboucher_?_t=ZT-8xj9DhfusXn&_r=1Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jakeboucher_re?igsh=dXcyYzdzeHJ2a28x&utm_source=qrLinkedIn: https://bit.ly/3qXZhFFTwitter: https://twitter.com/jakeboucher_ Blog: https://20jakeb.medium.com/

151: The Best Time to Buy a Home is Almost Here...
Fall is around the corner. If you're looking to buy a home, September through October is typically the best time to buy a home (especially in the Northeast) because: 1. There's less buyers 2. More homes on the market Video Link: https://youtu.be/yXcQW3zzCL4 Get out there and find your dream home! 149: How I Got Into Sales
Being in sales has been an eye opening experience thus far. I'm still so new to it too. Sales is one of the greatest life skills you can learn. It teaches you how to read people, handle rejection, better understand yourself, how to communicate better, and much more. This is the story of how I found myself entering the sales industry as a real estate agent. 148: The 8 Life Events That Requires People to Buy or Sell Real Estate No Matter the Market
There are 8 life events that requires people to buy or sell real estate no matter the real estate market. A recession, mortgage rates at 15%, inflation, etc, doesn't get in the way of these 8 life events. Life events 1-8: 1. New job/promotion 2. Family 3. Retirement 4. Lifestyle changes 5. Family size 6. Divorce 7. Death 8. Economic shifts Even with constant negativity surrounding the real estate market right now, these 8 life events will always occur, which leads to people buying and selling real estate, no matter the market. 147: Why 90% of Real Estate Agents Fail
90% of real estate agents fail within the first few years of being in business. The reasons why are quite simple: they're not persistent. New real estate agents don't realize how much work it takes to be an agent. You constantly have to be on the phone calling leads and clients. It is far from easy. With the changing housing market in the United States, this statistic will become even more prevalent. This market is going to be rough for a few years for agents. It will be too difficult for a lot of agents to handle. And this is why so many others will drop out of the industry in the next 6-12 months. If there is anyway I can help you right now, please reach out. I would love to help you on your journey to the next chapter in your life. 146: Fall 2022 Housing Market Forecast - Here's What the Data Shows
The housing market typically follows a similar trajectory year after year, and the fall 2022 housing market forecast is no different. Housing inventory declines leading up to Labor Day weekend, then increases following the long holiday weekend for about a month. After the initial increase, inventory begins to trickle downwards again as we head into the winter months here in the northeast. If you're a buyer and looking for a home right now, then this next month or so will be your best opportunity to find a home before spring of next year. So get out there and look at some homes and put some offers in. If there is anyway I can help you right now, please reach out. 145: The Story Behind Mountainside Bakery & Cafe In Princeton MA with Katherine Huck
This was an awesome episode to do with my good friend Katherine Huck. She is a co-owner of Mountainside Bakery & Cafe in Princeton MA. We chatted about the beginnings of the bakery, why she decided to open a bakery in the first place, her past careers, the biggest risk she's taken, the DCR agreement with Massachusetts, and more. If you've never been to this bakery (Wachusett Mountain Superintendent's House) on Wachusett Mountain in Central Mass, you're missing out! The views are beautiful, the drive is beautiful, and you can even see Boston down the road on sunny days! You won't regret going here for the food/drinks or just checking out the atmosphere. It will become a favorite for you. Let me know what you think of the episode by telling me on social media! Episode 141: How I Went Viral on TikTok
December 12th was the start of potentially something great. It was the day I finally had a viral video. As I described in the episode, it was one of those moments where it doesn't feel like it can happen to you, but it actually does. There was a part of me that thought I would never see the 99+ notification number in my TikTok inbox. But there was another part of me that thought it would happen one day. It's just a super exciting time for me because it's something I've been working towards for year's and it finally happened. I hope you enjoyed this episode! Let me know what you think of it! This episode was a long time coming for me. I've wanted to do this episode for awhile but I just couldn't come around to it. But finally I came around to it. It took awhile for me to feel comfortable doing this. There's other people like me out there who struggle with OCD unknowingly. And no, OCD is not just that you're a clean freak. It's a hell of a lot deeper than that as I talk about in this episode. Your mental health comes before anything else. Episode 131: Get Out of Your Comfort Zone
Getting out of your comfort zone is extremely difficult. It's scary to do something that we're not used to doing. That's why we stay in our comfort zone. Things that scare us make us want to stay where we are because we don't want anything negative to happen to us. But all of us have been outside of our comfort zone at some point in time. And you know what? If we did it once, we can do it again. So, in this episode I discuss the benefits to getting out of your comfort zone and why you need to be doing it. I hope you enjoy this episode and get some value out of it! P.S. I know this episode isn't perfect. There are some kinks that I need to work out going forward.
