Dispatch 01 - An Icy Beginning
Air date: December 17th, 2023 The first dispatch! We introduce some of the issues we'll be looking at in the future of the show, including energy efficient housing in the Yukon Territory. We then switch gears to discuss accessibility and snow and ice removal in Whitehorse and the discussions and motions that have been happening in City Council, including excerpts from an interview with disability advocate Ramesh Ferris. Lastly, we conduct a live phone interview with City Councilor Michelle Friesen, who introduced the first motion to re-prioritize downtown accessible parking stalls in the city's snow control policies.
