Guest: Rob Franke | Host Bob Moffitt speaks with Rob Franke who says, "I had a confirmation from the LORD, 'You're going to lead thousands of prisoners to Jesus Christ.'" Rob shares many stories of his experience with prisoners. Rob says, "To represent Jesus as we do and others do... we carry the presence of God. And it's so special; they need the love of God."  Rob continues, "Even when I go into prison today, I'll ask the LORD 'What do you want me to talk about today?' And He says one thing. He says, "Tell them that I love them."  That's the important part of this type of ministry and mission; I don't have to go to Africa or India; I just go down the street."  Rob continues, "We go after the one, others will go after the 99. We pour in and pray", referring to women who need care through the Crisis Pregnancy Center near the Army base where she and her husband live.  Jody says, "God asked us to", followed by, "I want to know that my life had meaning and purpose."  Jody continues about having male soldiers or a family over for hospitality, "To have a meal or coffee with them is the most powerful way to spread God's love to them. Ever since our kids were little we have figured how to be hospitable, to have them stay with us or to have meals, coffee or dessert." Guest: Joel Bryan | Host: Bob Moffitt. Bob says, "Young people are interested in life for what it can give them. What can I get out of life? How can I take advantage of the world? It seems that your focus is 'how can I help others?' We gain the most when we give the most. How much we grow, how much we're able to flourish depends not on self-seeking, but on asking the question, "How can I help others grow the most?"   When we're able to do that, we flourish." And that's exactly what Joel Bryan, 24, is doing. Joel says, "I see the people around me. I think, 'How can I help these people to know Jesus more and love him more?'" Joel asks the question, "Who are the people around you who you see and you know, and how can you walk alongside them and be a guide to them, and they can be a guide to you?"  Joel remarks, "Of all the different ways I spend my time, it's the things that have Jesus in the center that brings me the most joy, fulfillment, peace and contentment. Guest: Will Penrod | Host Bob Moffitt interviews first responder Will Penrod about following Jesus as well as providing service to those in need as a fireman for the Phoenix Fire Department. "As a first responder, I get to react. I make a decision and move forward."  Will describes a time as a boy when his mom took his siblings to the public pool in Sunnyslope. "We didn't stand around the pool. We just jumped!" And that is how Will operates as a first responder. He shares about listening to the Holy Spirit tell him to go back after a call to take some food to a quadriplegic in need.  "I prayed for him. I spoke the name of Jesus over him. Guest: Matthew Nam | Host Bob Moffitt interviews Matthew Nam who is sensing the call the start a Foster Home for 8 boys in Atlanta, GA.  Matthew says, "My heart is for the fatherless." John mentions what one of his partners told those in the refugee camps, "You may not have church buildings, but you still have your congregations." Guest: Edi Demo | Pastor Julian Gibb interviews Edi Demo of the Ilyricum Movement in Albania.  Eddie says, "I was 13 years old when communism left; that was the first time I heard the gospel through the Jesus Film. That was exclusive news to me that someone had died and rose again, because I never heard that during the communism time."  Eddie talks about church planting in this Muslim nation, "The idea is we go to an area that doesn't have a church. We start to make Christ known in different days.  We offer something similar to VBS for two months: 5 days/week, 4 hours each day with teaching, guitar, piano, drama, arts, German language; every week we have a Biblical theme.  At the end of the week, the parents will come to see a show that their children have prepared; in this way we build relationships with them and share the gospel." Eddie continues, "That area is very open with the gospel and they will come the Lord. The biggest challenge and joy in Albania is raising leaders from within because we don't have seminaries in that area, so we raise them from inside that group of believers. Guest: Amanda Forbes | Host: Julian Gibb interviews Amanda Forbes, Co-Founder of Trinity Education who shares amazing stories about mentoring young adults to become disciple makers in communities around the world. In this replay, Amanda states, "Education changes our mindset about why we're on this earth and our really human potential to create and come out of poverty.  We had a student in Kenya, and before going through our program, he didn't realize that he was made in the image of God, and he thought poverty was a multi-generational curse that he would pass along to his children."  Amanda says, "Going through our course, he did come to understand, 'I'm made in the image of God. Poverty is not a curse on me or the generations to come.'" Amanda tells another story, "Our first program was in an impoverished area outside of Nairobi, where there was a lot of addiction and poverty; we had a small cohort of all young men in the program that seemed trapped by lack of opportunities. One man had a dream of studying computer science; he didn't have the money for fees." Amanda explains how this program started in the area, "and a software programmer in CA took him under his wings in mentorship, and he was able to get a job with a company in IT in Nairobi; it transformed his life from the difficult situation he was in!  He got married, and ended up mentoring a small group of students... a full circle, blessed to be a blessing."See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
