Notre Dame football continues to be one of college football’s strongest NFL pipelines as six Irish players were selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, raising Notre Dame’s all-time total to 544 — the most in college football history.Jeremiyah Love went third overall to the Arizona Cardinals, becoming Notre Dame’s 72nd first-round pick. Jadarian Price followed at pick 32 to Seattle, to give the Irish two first-round running backs drafted in the first round for the first time in school history. Malachi Fields, Eli Raridon, Billy Schrauth and Gabre Rubio also heard their names called. It marks the third straight draft under Marcus Freeman with six or more Irish selections. Irish Conclude Spring Drills
The 94th playing of the Blue-Gold Game, signifying the conclusion of spring drills, was held on Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium. Coach Micah Shrewsberry announced today that Big South Player of the Year Logan Duncomb is transferring to join the Irish for the 2026-27 season.The Winthrop graduate transfer arrives in South Bend fresh off a season where he led the nation in fouls drawn, using a high-motor style to average over 18 points and nearly nine rebounds per game. Legendary Coach Lou Holtz Has Passed
College football has lost one of its most recognizable voices and leaders. Len Clark reports.Hall of Fame coach Lou Holtz has died at the age of 89. Holtz guided Notre Dame to the 1988 national championship, finishing a perfect 12-and-0 season and restoring the Irish to national prominence. Over a career spanning six programs, he compiled 249 wins and later became a familiar analyst on ESPN’s college football coverage. The Notre Dame men’s basketball team is back on the hardwood today, hosting Georgia Tech in ACC play. Len Clark has more.The Fighting Irish are looking for their first win in the month of February and have lost five-straight conference games. Georgia Tech has also had its share of issues and have lost six in a row. Jalen Haralson leads the Irish in scoring at 15 and a half points per game, while Braeden Shrewsberry averages 12 and ranks second in the ACC in three-point shooting percentage. Notre Dame Report - Thurs. Feb. 12th
Six former Notre Dame football players have been invited to this year’s NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. Len Clark has more.The Fighting Irish are represented by running backs Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price, wide receiver Malachi Fields, tight end Eli Raridon, and offensive linemen Billy Schrauth and Aamil Wagner. Love, the reigning Doak Walker Award winner, headlines the group, while Price joins him as part of one of college football’s most productive backfields. The combine runs February 23rd through March 2nd at Lucas Oil Stadium, giving the former Irish players a chance to boost their NFL draft stock. Notre Dame and Villanova will tip-off the 26–27 college basketball season on an international stage, with plans to open the season in Rome. Len Clark has more.The historic doubleheader would mark one of the few times U.S. college basketball teams have started their seasons off abroad. Details are still being finalized between the two Catholic schools and it’s not yet confirmed if the Pope, a Villanova grad, will attend. Notre Dame Basketball Report - Wed. Feb. 11th
Notre Dame couldn’t close the gap late as SMU pulled away for the win Tuesday night in Dallas. Len Clark reports.SMU went on a 14-0 run in the second half, combine that with a three and half minute Notre Dame scoring draught as the Mustangs pulled away late to defeat Notre Dame 89–81. The difference came on the glass, where the Mustangs outrebounded the Irish 38–26, and at the free-throw line, hitting 12 of 16. The Irish have lost five straight and fall to 11–14 overall and 2–10 in the ACC. They return home Saturday to host Georgia Tech. Notre Dame WBB Report - Mon. Feb. 9th
A late rally fell short for Notre Dame women’s basketball at Virginia as Len Clark reports.Notre Dame trailed by 19 points early in the fourth quarter, but cut Virginia’s lead to seven with four minutes remaining. The comeback bid fell short, however, as the Cavaliers held on for an 81-70 victory. Hannah Hidalgo led the Irish with 24 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. The performance moved Hidalgo into fourth place on Notre Dame’s all-time scoring list with 2,132 career points. The loss drops the Fighting Irish to 15-9 and 7-6 in ACC play. Notre Dame lost its fourth straight conference game in a game that went down to the final seconds as Len Clark reports.Florida State outlasted Notre Dame 82–79 on Saturday. The Seminoles connected on 15 three-pointers, and survived a late Irish surge. The Irish cut an 18-point deficit to one in the final minute, but couldn’t convert on its final possession. Notre Dame football is celebrating its best recruiting haul in years. Len Clark has details.Head coach Marcus Freeman’s Fighting Irish signed 30 high school prospects, including three five-stars and 18 four-stars. That’s a 70-percent blue-chip ratio. U-S-C holds the top spot, with Oregon, Ohio State and Alabama rounding out the top five. It’s Notre Dame’s best class since 2013, when the Irish brought in players like Jaylon Smith and Mike McGlinchey.
