Episode 12 : Healing the World, One Nervous System at a Time
🎙️ Episode 12 Welcome to Episode 12 of The Less Stress, More Magic Podcast ✨ I’m your host, Erin Wallen, and I’m so glad you’re here. This podcast is for capable, caring women who are doing all the “right” things—yet still feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck in stress. If you’ve ever tried to “think more positively” or reframe your mindset and wondered why it didn’t stick, this episode is for you. In This Episode What if the way you feel isn’t just affecting you—but everyone around you? In this episode, I explore the powerful idea that we are healing the world one nervous system at a time—and how your internal state is constantly influencing your relationships, your environment, and even the opportunities you experience. We’ll talk about: • How your nervous system is always scanning for safety or danger beneath conscious awareness • Why your state of regulation subtly impacts every person you interact with • The concept of co-regulation and how we “share” energy with others • How to recognize which relationships feel regulating vs. draining • The different roles we play in relationships (support, balance, or overgiving) • Why small shifts in your nervous system can create a ripple effect far beyond you Why This Matters When you begin to understand that your nervous system is always communicating—through your tone, body language, and energy—you start to see just how powerful you really are. This work isn’t just about feeling better. It’s about creating safer, more connected relationships… showing up more fully in your life… and realizing that even small shifts toward regulation can impact far more than you think. When you regulate your nervous system, you don’t just change your experience— you change the experience of everyone around you. Reflection / Journal Prompts Take a moment to reflect or journal: • Where in my life do I feel most regulated… and who am I around in those moments? • What energy am I bringing into my relationships right now? • What would shift if I focused on creating just 10% more safety in my nervous system today? ✨ Free Resource Support your nervous system with my Daily Ease Reset Checklist—a simple, grounding tool to help you shift out of stress and back into calm throughout your day. 👉 https://erinwallencoaching.myflodesk.com/dailyeasechecklist 🎧 Subscribe & Follow New episodes drop weekly on Tuesdays. Episode 11 : When You Can’t Focus on Your “Productive” Days, Do This First
🎙️ Episode 11Welcome to Episode 11 of The Less Stress, More Magic Podcast ✨ I’m your host, Erin Wallen, and I’m so glad you’re here. This podcast is for capable, caring women who are doing all the “right” things—yet still feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck in stress. If you’ve ever tried to “think more positively” or reframe your mindset and wondered why it didn’t stick, this episode is for you.In This EpisodeHave you ever had a day where you planned to be really productive… you had the time, the plan, the intention— and then when it came time to actually do the thing, you just couldn’t focus? In this episode, I’m sharing a real-time experience of that exact moment—and offering a powerful reframe that can completely change how you approach those “unproductive” days. We’ll talk about: Why not being able to focus isn’t a discipline problem How your nervous system communicates through “lack of focus” What’s actually happening in your brain when you feel foggy or resistant The hidden cost of pushing through when your system isn’t on board A simple shift to move from frustration → clarity How to work with your nervous system instead of against it Why This MattersSo many women have learned to override their body’s signals in the name of productivity. But when your nervous system isn’t being listened to, it doesn’t go away—it gets louder. What feels like procrastination or lack of discipline is often your body asking for something deeper: safety, space, or support. When you learn to recognize and respond to these signals, everything changes—clarity returns, energy shifts, and productivity becomes more sustainable (and a lot more easeful).Reflection / Journal PromptsTake a moment to reflect or journal: What do I usually make it mean when I can’t focus? What might my nervous system be needing in those moments instead? What would it look like to respond with curiosity instead of pressure? ✨ Free ResourceSupport your nervous system with my Daily Ease Reset Checklist—a simple, grounding tool to help you shift out of stress and back into calm throughout your day. 👉 https://erinwallencoaching.myflodesk.com/dailyeasechecklist🎧 Subscribe & FollowNew episodes drop weekly on Tuesdays. If you’ve ever tried to “think more positively” or reframe your mindset and wondered why it didn’t stick, this episode is for you.In This Episode This episode is a more personal, unscripted reflection on growth, identity, and what happens in our relationships as we become more of who we truly are. We’ll talk about: • Why your nervous system prioritizes familiarity over change • The idea of “familiar hell vs. unfamiliar heaven” • How your growth can trigger others (even when you’re doing nothing wrong) • The J-curve of transformation and why growth can feel harder before it gets easier • Why safety is essential for becoming your authentic self • How to stay grounded in your truth when others don’t understand itWhy This Matters As you grow, you may feel tension between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming. Episode 9: “I’m Not That Stressed…” — Are You Sure?
🎙️ Episode 9 Welcome to Episode 9 of The Less Stress, More Magic Podcast ✨ I’m your host, Erin Wallen, and I’m so glad you’re here. This podcast is for capable, caring women who are doing all the “right” things—yet still feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck in stress. If you’ve ever tried to “think more positively” or reframe your mindset and wondered why it didn’t stick, this episode is for you.In This EpisodeWhat if you don’t feel stressed… but your nervous system tells a different story? In this episode, I’m answering one of the most common questions I get: “What if I’m already regulated—do I even need this work?”We explore how stress often hides in plain sight—and why so many high-functioning women don’t realize how much it’s impacting them. We’ll talk about:• Why most people should assume some level of nervous system dysregulation • How stress becomes your “normal” baseline without you realizing it • The difference between feeling stressed and being dysregulated • Subtle mental, emotional, and physical signs your nervous system may need support • Why regulation is not a one-time fix, but a lifestyle that deepens over time • How even small moments of regulation can create powerful shifts in your lifeWhy This MattersWhen stress becomes familiar, we stop noticing it—but that doesn’t mean it’s not affecting us.Your nervous system is shaping your clarity, your energy, your decisions, and your capacity to receive what you desire. The more regulated you become, the more access you have to ease, alignment, and sustainable success. This isn’t about fixing yourself— it’s about expanding what’s possible when your system feels safe.Reflection / Journal PromptsTake a moment to reflect or journal:• Which signs of stress or dysregulation showed up for me in this episode? • Where might I have normalized a level of stress that no longer serves me? • What would it look like to support my nervous system just 5% more this week?✨ Free Resource Support your nervous system with my Daily Ease Reset Checklist—a simple, grounding tool to help you shift out of stress and back into calm throughout your day. 👉 https://erinwallencoaching.myflodesk.com/dailyeasechecklist🎧 Subscribe & Follow New episodes drop weekly on Tuesdays. Episode 8: When Growth Feels Like Too Much (Even When It’s Everything You Wanted)
🎙️ Episode 8 Welcome to Episode 8 of The Less Stress, More Magic Podcast ✨ I’m your host, Erin Wallen, and I’m so glad you’re here. This podcast is for capable, caring women who are doing all the “right” things—yet still feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck in stress. If you’ve ever tried to “think more positively” or reframe your mindset and wondered why it didn’t stick, this episode is for you. In This Episode Sometimes life begins expanding in the exact ways you hoped for—new opportunities, exciting growth, meaningful momentum—and yet internally it can suddenly feel like a lot. In this episode, I share a personal reflection on a stage of growth many women encounter: the moment when your life is expanding, but your nervous system is still catching up. We explore why this moment can feel confusing, why your brain may try to pull you back into control, and how learning to lead your next level from a regulated nervous system creates more clarity, trust, and ease. We’ll talk about: • Why growth can feel overwhelming—even when everything is going well • The stage of expansion where your brain can no longer hold every moving piece • How high-achieving women often mistake expansion discomfort for burnout • The nervous system’s relationship with control, safety, and uncertainty • What “regulated leadership” looks like as your life grows bigger • How trust and surrender become essential for sustainable expansion Why This Matters Many capable women assume that if life suddenly feels like “too much,” something must be wrong. But often what’s actually happening is capacity expansion. Your life may be growing faster than your nervous system has recalibrated for yet. When that happens, your brain may try to return to old strategies—controlling every detail, mentally tracking everything, or trying to figure it all out. But the next level of life requires something different. Instead of gripping every piece, growth invites you to hold the vision while allowing the pieces to move around you. When your nervous system learns to feel safe in that expansion, clarity increases, opportunities unfold more naturally, and success begins to feel lighter instead of heavier. Reflection / Journal Prompts Take a moment to reflect or journal: • Where in your life right now is expansion happening? • Where might your nervous system still be catching up to that growth? • What would it look like to allow 10% more trust in the process instead of trying to control every piece? ✨ Free Resource Support your nervous system with my Daily Ease Reset Checklist—a simple, grounding tool to help you shift out of stress and back into calm throughout your day. 👉 https://erinwallencoaching.myflodesk.com/dailyeasechecklist 🎧 Subscribe & Follow New episodes drop weekly on Tuesdays. Episode 7: Why Luck Favors the Regulated — & How to Be Luckier
🎙️ Episode 7 Welcome to Episode 7 of The Less Stress, More Magic Podcast ✨ I’m your host, Erin Wallen, and I’m so glad you’re here. This podcast is for capable, caring women who are doing all the “right” things—yet still feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck in stress. If you’ve ever tried to “think more positively” or reframe your mindset and wondered why it didn’t stick, this episode is for you. Today we’re exploring a powerful question: What if luck isn’t random… but biological? In This Episode In this St. Patrick’s Day-inspired conversation, we look at luck through a nervous system lens and explore why some people seem to experience more opportunity, timing, and “lucky breaks” than others. We’ll talk about: Why “lucky people” may simply have more regulated nervous systemsA story from a recent Cody Johnson concert that perfectly illustrates being available for opportunityHow stress changes what you hear, see, and act onThe 5 ways dysregulation filters out possibilityWhy risk feels scarier in survival modeHow feeling safer internally increases your external opportunities Why This Matters When your nervous system is in stress mode, your world quite literally shrinks. You develop tunnel vision. You default to protection. You scan for what could go wrong. You stay quiet when you’re meant to speak. But when your body feels safe, something shifts. Your perception widens. Your creativity returns. You hear invitations instead of threats. You take small, courageous risks. Luck may not be something you chase. It may be something you become available for. Because maybe luck isn’t rare. Maybe regulation is. And when you shift out of survival mode, you don’t just feel better — you see more magic. Reflection / Journal Prompts Take a moment to reflect or journal: Where might luck already be knocking in your life?Where might stress be muting opportunity? What would shift if you expected magic instead of danger? ✨ Free Resource Support your nervous system with my Daily Ease Reset Checklist—a simple, grounding tool to help you shift out of stress and back into calm throughout your day. 👉 https://erinwallencoaching.myflodesk.com/dailyeasechecklist 🎧 Subscribe & Follow New episodes drop weekly on Tuesdays. Episode 6: Body, Brain, or Behavior? Where You Start Changes Everything
🎙️ Episode 6 Body, Brain, or Behavior? Where You Start Changes EverythingWelcome to Episode 6 of The Less Stress, More Magic Podcast ✨ I’m your host, Erin Wallen, and I’m so glad you’re here. This podcast is for capable, caring women who are doing all the “right” things—yet still feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck in stress. If you’ve ever tried to “think more positively” or reframe your mindset and wondered why it didn’t stick, this episode is for you.In This EpisodeToday we’re exploring a powerful question: When you’re working toward a goal, where do you start? Most women instinctively focus on strategy and action. But what if the real key to sustainable success isn’t behavior or mindset… but your body? We’ll look at how starting from regulation changes everything. We’ll talk about:• The difference between focusing on behavior, brain, or body when pursuing a goal • Why strategy without nervous system safety leads to burnout and crashes • How dysregulation creates “survival mode” success that isn’t sustainable • Why mindset work doesn’t stick unless your body feels safe • The power of expanders (and the four-minute mile story) in shifting belief • What it really means to release the “how” and create from flow instead of forceWhy This MattersWhen your nervous system is dysregulated, your body is operating as if you’re in danger—even if your conscious mind knows you’re not. In that state, growth, creativity, and clarity are compromised. But when you begin with regulation—when your body feels safe—everything shifts.Your thinking expands. Your strategy aligns. Your actions feel lighter.Instead of pushing forward with a heavy backpack of stress, you move toward your goals with more clarity, ease, and possibility.Starting with your body doesn’t mean you ignore mindset or strategy. It means you build them on a foundation that actually supports sustainable success.Less stress. More clarity. More magic. ✨Reflection / Journal PromptsTake a moment to reflect or journal:When I think about my current goal, do I naturally focus on behavior, mindset, or how my body feels? What might change if I prioritized nervous system regulation before taking action?Where in my life am I gripping the “how,” and what would it feel like to soften that control?✨ Free Resource Support your nervous system with my Daily Ease Reset Checklist—a simple, grounding tool to help you shift out of stress and back into calm throughout your day. 👉 https://erinwallencoaching.myflodesk.com/dailyeasechecklist🎧 Subscribe & Follow New episodes drop weekly on Tuesdays. Episode 5: Trusting Your Energy & Being Energetically Unavailable
🎙️ Episode 5: Trusting Your Energy & Being Energetically UnavailableWelcome to Episode 5 of the Less Stress, More Magic Podcast ✨ I’m your host, Erin Wallen, and I’m so glad you’re here. This podcast is for capable, caring women with big goals—women who are responsible, thoughtful, and often doing all the “right” things… yet still feel stretched, overcommitted, or disconnected from themselves. If you’ve ever said yes because it made sense, even when something in your body felt like a no—or struggled with guilt for not wanting to commit when your calendar technically had space—this episode is for you.In This EpisodeIn today’s episode, we’re exploring what it means to trust your energy—and to allow yourself to be energetically unavailable, even when your schedule appears open. We’ll talk about how intuition and energetic signals are often subtle, how easily they can be overridden by logic and obligation, and why honoring your energy creates clearer, more aligned outcomes over time. We’ll explore:The difference between calendar availability and energetic availabilityWhy your body often knows “no” before your mind can explain itHow guilt, obligation, and logic can override intuitive signalsWhy saying no doesn’t mean something is wrong—it may mean something else is aligningHow regulation makes it easier to hear and trust your inner guidanceWhy trusting your energy creates space for what’s truly meant for youThis episode is an invitation to soften the pressure to justify your choices—and to begin trusting your body as a wise decision-maker.Why This MattersWhen decisions are made solely from logic, conditioning, or obligation, we tend to repeat familiar patterns—even when they lead to exhaustion or misalignment. But when your nervous system feels regulated and safe:Intuition becomes clearerDecision-making feels calmer and more groundedGuilt loosens its gripYou stop forcing alignment and start allowing itTrusting your energy doesn’t mean everything will always make sense right away. Sometimes clarity comes later. But honoring your energetic “no” often creates space for a more aligned “yes”—even if you don’t yet know what that is.Less stress isn’t about doing less. It’s about doing what’s aligned—without forcing yourself through resistance.Reflection / Journal PromptsTake a moment to reflect or journal:Where in my life have I said yes out of logic, obligation, or guilt—even when my energy felt hesitant? How do I personally experience an energetic “no” in my body? What might change if I allowed myself to be unavailable without over-explaining?Where could trusting my energy create more ease or alignment right now?(No fixing required. Episode 4: What Happens When Fun Is the Business Plan?
🎙️ Episode 4: What Happens When Fun Is the Business Plan?Welcome to Episode 4 of the Less Stress, More Magic podcast ✨ I’m your host, Erin Wallen, and I’m so glad you’re here. This episode is a little different — because it’s actually the second time I recorded it.The first version was fine… but it didn’t fully land in my body. And then, on the day I decided to re-record, something unexpected happened. An epic snowstorm hit where I live in South Carolina — something that almost never happens here. Everything slowed down. Plans changed. And instead of pushing through my to-do list, I went outside, played in the snow, and let myself have fun.And almost immediately, clarity opened up.Not because I tried harder — but because my nervous system shifted. That moment became the living example for today’s episode. In This EpisodeIn this episode, we explore why fun isn’t frivolous — and why it may be one of the most effective strategies for sustainable success.Through the lens of the nervous system, we talk about how intentionally practicing fun means intentionally practicing regulation — and why more time spent regulated leads to clearer thinking, better decisions, and cleaner momentum. We’ll talk about:Why fun is not an activity, but a nervous system stateHow stress and fun don’t really coexist in the bodyWhat it means to treat regulation as a business planThe different flavors of regulation, including safety to rest and safety to playWhy intentionally practicing fun trains your nervous system out of survivalFour specific ways fun improves clarity, energy, creativity, and effectivenessA simple, low-pressure experiment to start integrating more fun into your work and lifeThis episode isn’t about doing less or lowering your standards. It’s about creating from a regulated state — instead of from stress. Why This MattersWhen we’ve been conditioned to believe that fun comes after success, stress becomes the default state we create from. But here’s the nervous-system truth:Fun increases time spent in regulationRegulation creates clarityClarity leads to aligned, effective actionWhen fun is present:Decisions feel simpler instead of forcedEnergy feels cleaner and more sustainableCreativity flows more naturallyAction becomes more impactful — not just busyFun isn’t the reward after success. It’s the access point to sustainable success.Reflection / Journal PromptsTake a few moments to reflect or journal:On a scale of 1–10, how much fun am I actually feeling right now?Where am I doing “fun things” but not fully experiencing fun? What would it look like to invite just 10% more fun into my work or days?(No forcing. Episode 3: The Year of the Fire Horse — Choosing Momentum Without Hustle
🎙️ Episode 3: The Year of the Fire Horse — Choosing Momentum Without HustleWelcome to Episode 3 of The Less Stress, More Magic Podcast ✨ I’m your host, Erin Wallen, and I’m so glad you’re here.Today’s episode is especially meaningful because today marks the official beginning of the Year of the Fire Horse—an energy that only comes around once every 60 years. There’s been a lot of conversation about this year being about momentum, movement, and bold action. But for many women, that message has quietly translated into pressure, urgency, and the familiar pull toward hustle and burnout. If you’ve felt that tension—between wanting to grow and not wanting to exhaust yourself—this episode is for you.In This EpisodeIn today’s episode, we’re exploring what the Year of the Fire Horse is really inviting us into—through the lens of the nervous system.Rather than defaulting to hustle and pushing, we’ll talk about how regulation is the key to accessing sustainable momentum, clarity, and energy that doesn’t cost you your well-being.We’ll talk about:What Fire Horse energy traditionally represents—and why it’s often misunderstoodHow urgency and hustle are signs of survival, not true momentumWhy a regulated nervous system changes how energy and intensity are experiencedThe difference between survival-based movement and regulated momentumHow Fire Horse energy amplifies whatever state you’re already inWhat it looks like to choose growth, action, and expansion without burnoutThis episode is about learning how to ride the Fire Horse with presence and capacity—rather than bracing or burning out.Why This MattersMomentum doesn’t come from pressure. It comes from capacity. When your nervous system doesn’t feel safe, intensity feels overwhelming and action feels forced. But when regulation is present:Energy feels clean instead of franticAction feels clear instead of pressuredMomentum feels steady instead of exhaustingGrowth becomes sustainable instead of drainingThe Year of the Fire Horse isn’t asking you to move faster. It’s asking you to move from safety.Less hustle doesn’t mean less progress. It means progress that actually lasts.Reflection / Journal PromptsTake a moment to reflect or journal:Where do I feel pressure to move faster than my body wants to go?What does momentum feel like in my body when I’m calm versus stressed? What would it look like to let my nervous system lead my growth this year?(No forcing. If you’ve ever tried to “think more positively” or reframe your mindset and wondered why it didn’t stick, this episode is for you.In This EpisodeIn today’s episode, we’re exploring what I call the nervous system lens—the invisible filter through which you experience your life. You’ll learn why mindset work often falls flat when your nervous system is in survival mode, and how real, sustainable change begins with regulation and safety first. We’ll talk about:The two primary nervous system lenses: safety vs. survivalWhy survival mode prioritizes protection over clarity, creativity, and possibilityHow efforting, pushing, and “trying harder” can actually increase exhaustionWhy regulation must come before reframing or mindset shiftsSimple ways to begin shifting out of survival and into safetyThis episode is about working with your nervous system instead of against it—so change feels supportive, not exhausting. Why This MattersWhen your nervous system doesn’t feel safe, it doesn’t matter how strong your mindset is. Survival mode narrows your focus, limits perspective, and keeps you reacting instead of choosing. But when safety is present:Your system opensCreativity and clarity returnChallenges feel more manageableChange becomes sustainable instead of forcedLess stress isn’t a detour from growth. It’s the pathway to it.Reflection / Journal PromptsTake a moment to reflect or journal:When I feel stuck or overwhelmed, what signs tell me I might be in survival mode? What happens when I ask myself: “Does my system feel safe right now?”What would it look like to prioritize regulation before problem-solving?(No fixing required. Episode 1 : Welcome to the Less Stress, More Magic Podcast
Embrace Less Stress: A Journey Toward More Magic in LifeWelcome to the very first episode of The Less Stress, More Magic Podcast ✨ I’m your host, Erin Wallen, and I’m so glad you’re here. This podcast is for capable, caring women who are doing all the “right” things—holding a lot, showing up for everyone, and still feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck in survival mode. If stress has been normalized as part of success and you’re quietly wondering there has to be a better way, you’re in the right place. In this inaugural episode, I share why I created this podcast and why I believe so deeply that stress is not a success strategy. Stress is a survival response—and when we live in chronic stress, it impacts our energy, clarity, intuition, relationships, and ability to create the results we want. We’ll talk about:Why stress is not a personal failure (and never has been)How chronic stress blocks clarity, creativity, and choiceWhat happens when we create safety in the nervous systemWhy less stress actually leads to more effectiveness, not less ambitionThis podcast is not about hustling harder or fixing yourself. It’s about slowing down, listening to your body, and learning how to shift out of fight-or-flight so you can live and lead with more ease, clarity, and yes—more magic. Each week, you can expect grounded conversations that blend nervous system science, personal insight, and practical tools you can use in real life.✨ Free Resource: Grab the Daily Ease Reset Checklist to support your nervous system and bring more calm into your day: 👉 https://erinwallencoaching.myflodesk.com/dailyeasechecklist🎧 Subscribe & Follow: New episodes drop weekly.
