You can be the most loving person in the world, you can give everything, you can show up everyday and someone can still decide to lie to you, someone can still marry someone else while pretending to love you

We act like when a relationship ends, the love should end too. Like there's something wrong with us if we still care. Like we failed some test because our hearts didn't flip a switch the moment they walked away. But love doesn't work like that. Love is not a tap you turn off. Love is not a light switch.
