Profiting Off the Pipeline: What is GEO Group?
What happens when a private corporation gets a $1 billion check from the federal government? Apparently, they think it buys them an extra-constitutional colony on American soil.In today’s episode, we are pulling back the curtain on the explosive crisis unfolding right now at Delaney Hall in Newark, New Jersey. What began on May 22nd as a desperate, courageous hunger and labor strike by over 300 civil detainees has exposed the raw, rotten core of the for-profit prison pipeline. We are talking about human beings being fed maggot-infested food, a dangerous tuberculosis outbreak met with severe medical neglect, and an ICE “Voluntary Work Program” that functions as modern-day corporate enslavement—forcing civil detainees to run the facility for as little as $1 a day so GEO Group can protect its corporate profit margins. But the horror doesn’t stop inside the walls. When the community, local labor unions, and advocacy groups gathered at the gates in solidarity, they were met with tear gas, pepper balls, and brutal physical retaliation from masked federal agents. And when New Jersey state health inspectors and the Governor showed up to enforce basic health codes, GEO Group literally barred the doors and locked the state out.We are unpacking exactly how this shadow state operates, the toxic revolving door between ICE leadership and corporate boardrooms, the tech companies like Amazon Web Services (AWS) providing the digital backbone for this cruelty, and—most importantly—the concrete blueprint the strikers have given us to hit this machine exactly where it hurts and tear it down.Sai’s Newsletter is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.✊ MUTUAL AID & ADVOCACY: SUPPORT THE STRIKERSThe individuals inside Delaney Hall are risking solitary confinement, physical beatings, and immediate deportation to expose this machine. They cannot fight a multi-billion-dollar corporation alone. Here is exactly where you can put your money, your time, and your voice to support the mutual aid funds, legal defenses, and grassroots advocacy teams on the ground:1. Direct Legal Action & AdvocacyThe groups listed below are actively coordinating legal defense teams, fighting retaliatory transfers, and working directly with the strikers inside Delaney Hall to amplify their demands:* New Jersey Alliance for Immigrant Justice (NJAIJ): Driving the rapid response and advocacy campaigns demanding accountability from state leadership and the immediate closure of the facility. Learn more and support their campaign at the NJAIJ Delaney Hall Hunger Strike Hub.* American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) - NJ Immigrant Rights Program: AFSC’s legal fellows and organizers are on the ground working directly with clients inside Delaney Hall, documenting the abuses, and providing critical legal defense. Support their direct representation efforts via the AFSC New Jersey Immigrant Rights Program.2. Grassroots Solidarity & On-Site Mutual AidVolunteers and grassroots coalitions have maintained a continuous presence outside the facility, providing an essential lifeline for family members and recently released detainees:* Movimiento Cosecha & Labor Eyes on ICE: These grassroots, immigrant-led movements are leading the physical solidarity rallies, organizing the overnight vigils, and providing direct mutual aid—including clothing, shoelaces, food, and emergency funds for families navigating the sudden, retaliatory transfer of their loved ones. Keep up with rapid-response needs and find their direct mutual aid donation links on Instagram via @cosecha_nj and @laboreyesonice. We cannot let that happen. True solidarity means backing up our rage with resources. Use the vetted channels below to direct emergency funds exactly where they are needed right now.⛓️ 1. The Formless Hand
History isn’t a collection of static dates—it is an active blueprint for control. From the shifting party loyalties of the elite to the systematic infiltration of our legal institutions, we explore how the status quo is maintained at any cost. We bridge the gap between historical patterns and modern headlines—connecting the dots between the Tennessee statehouse, the tactical maneuvers of The 48 Laws of Power, and the looming shadow of Project 2025.Inspired by investigative works like The Family and the cautionary tales of The Order, this Substack is for those who refuse to look at politics through a binary lens. We analyze the intersection of capitalism, white supremacy, and the rising Christofascist movement to understand not just what is happening, but why it is happening and who it truly serves.Stop watching the actors. The Blueprint: Tennessee's Unfinished Civil War
“They call it Southern Hospitality. I call it white supremacy with a smile.”Thanks for reading Sai’s Newsletter! This post is public so feel free to share it.Tennessee doesn’t just participate in the rollback of civil rights; it engineers it. While the nation looks at Alabama and Mississippi as the faces of the Old South, Tennessee has spent 160 years as the quiet laboratory for legalizing exclusion. The Blueprint is an investigative deep-dive into the Polished Pivot of the Volunteer State. We track a direct line from the 1865 founding of the KKK in a Pulaski law office to the cracking of Memphis voters in 2026. We expose how Andrew Jackson’s ideology of removal is being digitally remastered through surgical redistricting and the erasure of transgender existence. This isn’t just about history—it’s about the Standing Record. We refuse to withdraw the complaints. We refuse to let the Music City spell hide the truth. The Architecture of the Void
For the description notes here, I’m not going to sit here and tell you that “self-love” is a perfect replacement for romantic love. It absolutely is not.I miss intimacy. I miss the romance. I miss the sexual encounter that is actually connected to a soul. But I refuse to settle for the “messy, toxic, superficial” scraps that are currently being served.Hyper-independence is my fortress. I am the only source of my own joy. And while the fortress can be quiet, it is clean. There is no limerence here. There is no “processing” of someone else’s obsession with a third party. There is just my work, my children, and my peace. If the cards say I am destined never to be romantically loved, then I will be the most sovereign, most intellectual, most “Heroic” unloved woman you’ve ever seen.Because at the end of the day, I’d rather be alone in my integrity than be “important” to a man who only sees me as an agent or an ally.As always, thank you for listening to the Mind of Sai Marie. Honor Under Arrest:
On March 28th, 2026, the streets of Los Angeles became a frontline for the First Amendment. In this episode of The Mind of Sai Marie, I am laying out the raw, unfiltered truth of what happened at the MDC on Alameda. From being tear-gassed without protection to the three and a half hours I spent in zip-ties, I’m sharing the story of my arrest as an independent journalist. This wasn’t just an arrest; it was a defining moment of honor. I’m breaking down the behavior of the officers on the scene—from the blatant coldness of Officer Villanueva to the transition of command under Captain Ventura—and why being released without charges proves that our right to document the front lines is non-negotiable.But the fight didn’t end when the zip-ties came off. Now, we face the legal aftermath. Thanks for reading Sai’s Newsletter! The Vanity of Virtue: When 'Activism' Is Just a Brand Strategy
In this episode, Sai strips back the pretty filters and the vanity tags to look at the hollow core of performative activism. Dive into the “Look at Me” tactics used by privileged creators who treat advocacy like a transaction—dropping donations to mask a pattern of abusive behavior and exclusionary networking. We discuss the “authenticity gap” that exists when someone’s public persona is built on “virtue signaling” while their private actions cause stress, burnout, and a lack of support for the activists actually doing the work. The Art of the Unfiltered Life
In a world of curated feeds, the memoir remains our most potent tool for authentic connection. My recent conversation with memoirist Kimberly Conte, author of Who Am I Really? Do You Know? joins Sai on the Mind of Sai Marie to share an illuminated, simple truth: our deepest pains are often the very raw materials required for our greatest works. We often mistake resilience for a permanent trophy we win after surviving a crisis. Kimberly challenges this, viewing it instead as a continuous, daily commitment to self-understanding. It isn’t about reaching a destination; it’s about the discipline of turning personal struggle into constructive art.Writing a memoir is rarely a solitary act of healing. There is a powerful reciprocity that occurs when a reader sees their own reflection in a writer’s vulnerability. This feedback loop often fills the remaining gaps in an author’s journey, proving that bestseller lists don’t measure success, but by the moment one person feels less alone. For those hesitant to share a story they deem too quiet or too broken, remember that authenticity is the only effective counterbalance to a polished world. Success lies in the impact of your narrative. When you write honestly for yourself rather than for approval, you give others permission to stop pretending and start feeling.Every story matters. By embracing the imperfections of our past, we create a space for others to find their own courage.Explore these themes further in Kimberly Conte’s book, Who Am I Really? Do You Know? The Matriarch’s Shield: Identifying Energy Vampires in Movement Work

Activism & Advocacy & the Architecture of Discernment
“Peace. Be Still.” In this episode of The Mind of Sai Marie, Sai dives into the tactical necessity of spiritual and intellectual boundaries. “Diminish and go West,” Sai Marie explores the archetypal Scramblers and Energy Vampires currently infiltrating creator and activist spaces. This is a masterclass in character decoding. We examine how unstable individuals often use the language of the Divine Feminine and performative activism as a smokescreen. This episode reveals why true colors are showing now more than ever.Learn how to identify the parasitic energy of those who harvest your brilliance to fuel their own chaos, and why a true Matriarch is defined by what she rejects just as much as what she builds. If you’ve been feeling blinded or inferior, tired, or depleted by those who claim the light while denigrating others, it’s time to heed the genuine frequency of the West.Your radiance is not a public utility.
