How to Reduce Suffering & Conflict
Do you live in hope, potential or what-ifs? Are you holding onto a relationship that is not what you desire, but believing it will become something better? Listen in as Leah talks about acceptance and the impact that practice will have on your life. How we experience the world is relative to how we perceive ourselves. We know we cannot change someone else. We can only change ourselves, and often we do not due to our state of fear. You have a personal right to manage yourself. You can reduce your suffering when you come into agreement with what is.When you don't get what you want you create conflict within yourself and with others. This episode is partially taken from Leah's forthcoming book on how to master your energy.Acceptance is a full body experience. Thanks for listening! Are You on Your Right Path?
Many people wonder if they are on the right path for their life. Many people are unsure of their purpose. Many people create conditions and limitations to thwart their way forward.Magical thinking ensues.Could this be you? Many are looking for signs and confirmations that they are on their right path. The ego is afraid it does not have a purpose, a legacy to leave. We fall into being a victim of life instead of aligning and accepting our gifts, and purpose. Deep Talk on Deepak
Leah speaks openly about her previous encounter with Deepak Chopra and some other influencers in the spiritual and healing world in regards to the new information about their presence in the Epstein files.Spiritual bypassing, imposter syndrome, ego issues, abuse - the conversation goes into the many problems in the wellness and spiritual healing space. Fed up with being told what to do and how to do it by people who have just as many issues (or more) and in the case of the Epstein files, despicable behavior. How to maneuver through the teachings of wisdom and truth, and hold clear boundaries, while evolving through one's own spiritual journey. It's a bold and winding conversation - a testimony to the heart and truth - that is the goal of this message. To empower one to find their own way, and their own truth. Thanks for listening! It's Not Personal
Do you take things personally? It's a hard pattern to break as, of course, our lives are our personal responsibility, and when we engage with others and the world. When we take things personally that are not personal, we suffer.Do you get offended easily?Do your feelings get hurt easily?Do you struggle with insecurities that you will not be chosen?Taking things personally serves to perpetuate the fears that we are unworthy and that we need validation of our worth from the external world. It's a trap.Free yourself! Be a Refuge
Inspired by a quote from Spirit Rock run by Jack Kornfield:"May our hearts stay open in the storm.May our voices speak for what is just.May our hands extend in generousity.May our presence be a refuge."It's tough times out there. Really tough. I don't know one person who isn't overwhelmed. Heartbroken. Angry. Afraid. This podcast is to remind each of us what we can do, even when we feel powerless. It's about how energy works. How much of an impact we can have when we learn how to keep our hearts open, and become a refuge, and emit a frequency and love out into the world.A refuge for others, and also for ourselves. A safe space to pray. To love. To anchor. To remember who we are. To remember the power that we have. You are a soul with a frequency of truth, love, peace, and connection. We have to connect there and use the power that we have for good. Thanks for listening! AI vs Higher Intelligence - Are You Listening?
This is a conversation between two friends - one, Louie Ayala, a digital creator who uses AI regularly and the other, Leah Guy, a spiritualist who's opposed (and a little afraid) of AI. We discuss several angles and argue the interests and concerns about the growing increase and take-over of artificial intelligence in our current world. The love-hate relationship is true for many of us, and this conversation contemplates the values of AI support and how to stay grounded and continue to grow your own senses if you choose to become a user/fan of AI.* Hearing vs listening* Adding to collecting conscious, resourcing higher consciousness from the collective* The pros and cons of including AI in your work, and how to secure your job* Creative inspiration vs stealing/cheating* Taking resources from the planet vs adding resources to the collectiveAnd much more...If you are challenged with using AI, ethically or know-how, or feel concerned about it the impact on the world, take a listen and let it inspire you. Overwhelmed? Do This :-)
Who isn't overwhelmed these days? The world is overloading each of us with negative events, or telling us what to do differently in our lives, people preaching, complaining, arguing online... plus the demands and pressures of work, our families, our lives. It's too much.I want to invite us to remember the power we have over our lives. That we can control much of our lives, even when it feels we cannot. We can be still. We can practice quiet moments and find a strength and light inside. We can choose to create healthy boundaries and keep ourselves in a more balanced state.Today, especially during the holidays and New Year, can you make this choice for yourself? Can you let yourself soak in the quiet and find the soothing rhythm of your heartbeat, the stirring energy of the wind, and the grounded presence of your own nature?I'll meet you there. In love and spirit,LeahThanks for listening! Confirmation that Spirit is Present - this is your sign :-)
Have you ever asked for a sign? Maybe you didn't get the sign, or notice it. Or maybe, you got the message loud and clear. Even still many of us have doubt, even when we say we believe, that spirit is on our side - that God listens - that we are worthy of a life that is guided by the great beyond. In this solo podcast, Leah shares some of her recent signs and confirmations about her project regarding her new work. Some may seem trite, others more profound. But the message of the podcast is that we must be in an active relationship with spirit to know their language, to hear the calling, to witness the signs. This isn't a one-way relationship, it's an interactive one that calls us to engage with the highest and most loving, most pure and divine of energy and beings. Take a listen, enjoy and ponder for yourself, what do you really believe, and how are you nurturing that relationship? The truth is, confirmation is everywhere that spirit is present, and we are constantly being guided in the direction that is best for us, if we but notice. It requires our presence. How to Get Out of Survival Mode
Survival Mode - we hear about it but aren't sure if we're in it. Survival mode is a trauma response. When we are burdened with the stress of life or past experiences or trauma, or if we have generational trauma in our families, we may have learned how to survive, but not much else. Many people are living in survival mode. The anxious state that is overwhelmed and cannot be present or available for new experiences, feelings, spontaneity or true relaxation.Leah covers the symptoms of survival mode, as well as how to get out of survival mode and heal. Some of the highlights are:Desire to feel numbStuck in fight, flight or freezeBeing overly reactiveHaving anxietyInability to focusWhat is the opposite of survival mode? The ability to relax, be available, have resources on hand to pivot without panic, to authentically enjoy one's surroundings and simply being alive.Leah shares some of her favorite methods to move beyond survival into a place of present moment living through somatic therapy, sound healing, yoga, movement for healing, meditation and more. Living in the Flow
The final episode of season 4 brings you to contemplate how you fill your life and stay attached to your to-do lists/obligations as a survival mechanism rather than using the space in-between to access the flow state. To be in the flow, we open to our intuition, trust, creativity, feminine energy, abundance and the unknown. It can be a scary energy to embody if we've spent most of our time in survival, or trying to find our identity based on what we do or achieve. Let yourself contemplate and perhaps join the challenge to be in the moments in between the busyness so you can activate the energy within that wants to emerge. This practice isn't just for artists, it's for all co-creators who desire to have more peace, curiosity and joy in their lives. To feel what it is to be present and available to what is possible when we aren't jamming our time with to-dos and expectations.More from Leah, visit her website. Thanks for listening! Feeling Safe & Secure in Spirit
This story will never be over, but for now Leah is wrapping up the story of her time at the haunted house on Weeden St with some powerful messages from spirit. One's healing journey is never over, as healing is not linear. Much of life isn't linear, however we perceive it to be in order to maintain some sense of control. What is it to feel connected and safe in spirit, living in a higher, more expanded vibration and consciousness, feeling trusting in the moment and free within oneself? It's a feeling most are desirous of, yet terrified of. The will to live includes the tenacity to maintain integrity and wholeness in the present moment. The more capacity we have for the moment, the more peaceful and present we can be. Join Leah on the tail of this haunted house story, as she weaves in some of the most important teachings about building this capacity for self. Thanks for listening! They live in the house right next door to Leah, the house that looked abandoned but wasn't, next to the abandoned cottage on the hill.Leah discusses their mental health issues and addictions, the behavior and interactions that went on during her time there, like Zencat being naked scooting on her bottom down the asphalt road, unable to get up. This was a repeated occurance. The multiple calls to the ambulance. The screaming at the house, the chit chat, the accidents with the railings.. It was two years of Zencat and John, although they had lived at their house for over 20 years. Join Leah on Youtube to see these episodes. And visit her website for more information. Leah Encounters "Edward" + Confirmation from Ghost Hunters
We're at the part of the story that becomes hard to believe, the synchronicities, the spirit activity, the confrontations - but for those who delve into the paranormal or not, Leah has it on recording! Plus, she has energy clearers "ghost hunters" or "spirit removers" over to the house to investigate and help cleanse the property.TRIGGER WARNING: The live recording is from this Thanksgiving (last week) evening during the middle of the night. John recorded Leah in a confrontation in the dreamtime with "Edward" - and then helped her come to full consciousness. As Barbara remarked in our last episode, he will continue to try to enter, and he sure did. The audio is her pleading and battling Edward to stay out of her space and this house. Leah shares about vulnerability and how we have to be cautious with our physical, mental and emotional health when we are feeling tired, weak, ill - and also share some of the information given to her from the ghost hunters, Marcia and Marty from Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. Also in this episode, you'll meet the young spirits trying to get Leah's attention, and what goes on up in the attic, as well as more information about the burial pit. It's a loaded 28 minutes, closing out with a sweet scripture from Psalms that Leah reads one night to the young girls' spirits who are afraid. Remember, Leah was taking notes of all her experiences while there after realizing something different was going on at this house, but she was not planning to share, podcast, write a script or otherwise during this time-period. The notes are real-time as best as can be remembered. Check out Leah's new website, leahguy.com for more about her work. Thanks for listening! Follow leah on IG, FB & TK @leahthemodernsage for more!

And the Dreams Begin
Welcome listeners. This is episode 2 of season 4 and I'm really glad you're here. You may notice that the podcast format has changed for this season as I'm sharing my story of buying a historic and haunted home in Lambertville NJ on the day of Covid lockdown. I tell this story as a means to inspire us all how to face and embrace the darkness within, how to sit in discomfort and to heal the ghosts of our past. Weaved throughout this season we will also discover the various ways spirit talks to us, and we'll talk to experts in the field of metaphysics, mediumship and other spiritual teachings. This episode I introduce you to the specifics of the house and the stories that began shortly after I moved in. Some that seem benign - huge spiders, bats in the bedroom, stolen items..but combined with the rest of the story, I believe you'll start to see the energy that is becoming palpable at the house. The found objects I either still have or have pictures of, and the dreams - the male energy present who violated me many times over - has become one of the main characters in my one-woman show and the screenplay. I hope you enjoy this storytelling, and I'd love to hear feedback. Oh, and please share it with your friends! Thanks for listening! Follow leah on IG, FB & TK @leahthemodernsage for more!
