Afterwards, they wake up for their challenge to watch the first episode of Rooster Teeth's live action post-apocalyptic show, Day 5!

After some more Nintendo themed Talk Nerdy, Myles and Drew try to wrap their feeble minds around Serial Experiements Lain, the avant-garde science fiction anime from the late 90's!

In a bit of a twist on our Challenges, we were challenged to watch the first season of the Syfy zombie drama, Z Nation, NOT because it's a beloved classic held dear by the challenger, but because it's a fun, ironically brainless romp of B-grade silliness. How did it hold up for the Nerds? Will they grant this show mercy? Tune in to find out!

WE'RE BACK! Due to flu-related issues, we've been out of commission for a couple of weeks, but now we've returned with our delayed SPOILERCAST to Marvel's first offering this year: BLACK PANTHER! Myles bounces off the wall during Talk Nerdy to Me due to the release of The Cloverfield Connection while Patrick shares his enthusiasm for Netflix's dark new sci-fi gem, Altered Carbon. Drew forces us to shift gear and we get lost in the insane future of...1997! That's right, this week we were challenged to watch the genre-bending, instant cult classic film, Turbo Kid!

Brian Michael Bendis' first foray into DC Comics has been announced, so the three Nerds chat a little bit about the comic company's current trajectory while Patrick basks in the glow of his new television. They then find themselves thrown into a strange and unknown future for this challenge, watching the first season of AMC's post-apocalyptic genre bender: Into the Bandlands.
