    Roland and Sebulon make an alarming find while searching for their last Nature stone.

    Taryn starts up her mercenary company and has to deal with bribes and finding the right people for her team.

    Taryn comes to realize she is spending her coin not only too fast for the funds on hand, but enough so that it has probably drawn attention. She needs a means to cover the wealth she has gathered overnight.

    Roland and Sebulon find the ostra oak and their first elemental stone, but they also find far more than expected.

    Roland arrives at Worton during the New Cycle Festival. After following his father into the capital, he makes an unexpected acquaintance.

    Taryn shows up for the deal with Jorgen's buyer, hoping to finally offload the heart stone and make her coin.

  17. Chapter 10: The Lord of the Docks

    During Taryn's departure from the guild hall, she is picked up by an unexpected party for a meeting.

    Taryn rides into Runeport at last and begins work toward offloading her heart stone.

    Roland trains with his family, working his Kudahn forms. Then he is confronted about the springs.

    As the storm passes, Roland's parents slip out of their roundhouse to attend a council session, and he finds himself curious.

    Taryn flees the Alerian mountains but cannot outrun the coming storm.

    Roland returns to his clan village and is sent to finish a task in the tannery just before the stormwall arrives.

    Roland watches his clan slaughter the trespassing outsiders and feels conflicted by it. He then confronts Taryn as she returns to the scene.

  25. Chapter 2: Unwelcome Guests

    Taryn's company has been discovered and their operation in the mountains hits a snag.

  26. Chapter 1: The Guarded Mountains

    Taryn's company of mercenaries are departing the Alerian mountains with their stolen heart stone. Time nor the locals are on their side.
