Vanessa also opens up about how important it was to her to create a safe environment and space for learn and hone their craft. Specifically for women. Let's talk about last night. NDK has some stories to share!!! First off Dana gets a little too lifted if ya know what I mean. Then BANG on the door and the neighbour is there asking if she smells smoke!?!? Obviously panic ensues. Leading to the fire department coming to check on all of the neighbours. Of course the cute one has to check hers out, right after letting one rip!! Nathan and Janine head out for an adventure to see Nine Inch Nails in concert. Going down was fine, coming home was a whole different story. Now, Janine being the good wife she is offers to drive home. While Nine Inch Nails brought down the house, Mother Nature brought the ice. Seems to me like they were in a similar situation one year ago! We are in the middle of the Olympics (at the time of recording) we were 11th in medal standing. Canada is not doing so hot. What it IS getting hot is the curling rink. Sweden’s Oskar Eriksson accuses Canada’s Marc Kennedy of cheating.We were talking games earlier and Nathan was thinking of two of his favorite games, Scene It and Trivial Pursuit w DVD. We’re back and it’s been a minute. While donating her old car to the Kidney Foundation Dana realizes she left a CD in the player; and not for the first time. The NDK Road Trip to Metric happened! Nathan and Dana headed on down to the big city of Toronto to the Budweiser Stage!The trip starts off with smooth sailing down to Toronto, but when they get there, the parking lot is gone!!! Nathan’s as cool as a cucumber, pulls a U-ey, gets a parking space and Dana is just in awe!! NDK gets there early, tailgates in the parking lot the real fun begins! Both NDK households participated!!Over at Nathan’s, he comes back from morning errands to find his garbage-picking neighbor there in the driveway, great! She then proceeds to become her own by-law enforcer, scaring off the potential buyers!! Then just today, who got people parking on the wrong side of the street!?!!Over on Dana’s neck of the woods, she and her parents are having a combined sale. Dana is having a TOUGH time watching strangers pick through and walk off with her childhood.One thing NDK agrees on is that if you see a buggy stop at your house, money will be dropped! We call them the big spenders! Also, you can’t talk about the garage sale without talking about some of the weirdos that walk up your driveway. Dana shares a story of reuniting with a stranger from the funeral home in the garage.NDK agreed though, the roughest part is getting up that early in the morning!! Oh, it’s rough!
