The Nurture Pod

The Nurture Pod returns after a long glacial break in Iceland. Ginger was driving around fjords and dancing under sheets of ice and not anywhere near reliable wifi or a microphone. Now Ginger is based in Scotland for the fall and the Nurture Pod resumes with a check in on the past eclipse season, the passing of many great souls, and Iris's upcoming collective art installation show the Adoration of Light opening on September 12th at the Astoria Visual Arts Center. Go check it out Adoration of Light you are near Astoria, Oregon! Happy late summer dear Nurture Pod! Iris and Ginger are seed saving/swapping tales across the pond again in this episode #61. In the Northern Hemisphere first harvest festivals begin and (as county fairs and fetes) and with them come all the sweat, swims and blissful blowouts of summer's peak. 2026 seeds are beginning to set for the next years cycle and the harvest of 2025 seeds are coming to fruition. Welcome back to the Nurture Pod. This episode beams to you from the beautiful island of Bali where the wisdom of purification and water blessings has been a living practice for thousands of years and from the Pacific Northwest forests dripping in the warm rains of late spring as summer begins to take hold. We in the west have forgotten the rites of pausing to purify intentions, receive blessings and ask for permission to enter the waters that make life possible. In some places though, this is woven deeply into the fabric of everyday life. Bali, even under the weight of tourism, holds thousands of active water temples for this purpose.
