This was the breakthrough short story that brought Mark Twain into literary prominence. Randy Lewis has written an excellent article in the LA Times about the story's history. Our sophomore effort also comes from radio theater history. Sue 'Em by Nancy Bancroft Brosius has the distinction of being the first Radio Play printed in America. It was aired on December 29th, 1925. Harry Heuser has done an excellent article about the play's history.
