    Fathering Future Men and Women

How is Father's Day not as popular as Mother's Day? Now that you have read this question. You might wonder why too? We truly believe that they have a strong influence in the character growth of their children – from being young and foolish to becoming old and wise. How then can a father father the future men and women of our society? Join our conversation today and let us together delve into the world of fatherhood. A blazing SUMMER in Cebu

It is hard to miss that summer has already started in the Philippines because anywhere you go, the news will tell you that the heat indexes are relatively high and can be very dangerous. For students, especially in high school and grade school summer is almost always synonymous to relaxation or taking a break from study and for all of us who labor and toil, it may not be months of no work but we would always hope to at least, spend some time with families or friends to rest and relax. The concept of rest is nothing new to our great and awesome Creator. God knows that it is easy for us to become restless in this world, tiring ourselves out of our work and all the burdens we carry. If you are tired and weary, please don't hesitate to accept His invitation of going to Him to find rest for your souls. For He is gentle and humble in heart. His yoke is easy and His burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30). Stay hydrated, avoid long exposure to the sun, and always be kind to everyone during this dry spell! Let us all together pray for the heat index to decrease and be in a safe level.

    Faith and Missions

The great commission for us followers of Christ is the infamous verse we read in chapter 24 of the book of Matthew. In verse 19, Jesus said to his disciples to go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Missions for the most of us,is always going out to a place where Jesus is not known and that means somewhere away from the city and in the far-flung corners of the world. For others it may also be a place where the government and the people are hostile to Christianity. The latter can really put a stigma that going to missions is very dangerous as it could cost your life. Journey with us in the episode and hear enriching truths about missions from a missionary herself, Ate Carol of Youth with a Mission. Walk with us in her journey of faith and uncover if what we think about missions is what truly is the truth about missions. Missions can be daunting. as what our guest for today's episode had said, the most dangerous place for a Christian is to be in the place where God has not called you.

The Pod Pointe | Hope and Thanksgiving: A Year-end Episode

In a world often fraught with challenges, finding solace in hope and expressing gratitude through thanksgiving can be a beacon of light. Our episode today is all about Thanksgiving and Hope. Duly inspired by the words of the Bible, which offers profound insights into the significance of these two powerful emotions. Colossians 3:17 reminds us, "And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." This verse underscores the transformative power of expressing thanks in all aspects of our lives, recognizing the divine source of every blessing. Romans 15:13 declares, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." These words resonate with a promise that transcends circumstances, offering a profound sense of assurance in the presence of hope that is rooted in faith. Throughout our episode, we'll explore personal stories, reflections, and practical insights that highlight the intertwining of hope and thanksgiving in our lives. Together, let's discover how cultivating an attitude of gratitude and nurturing hope can not only enrich our own journey but also become a source of encouragement for those around us. #thepodpointe #episode7 #podcastshow #podcastlife #podcastersofinstagram #churchministry #seekGod #shareLife #serveOthers #love3

    Waiting and Preparation for Christmas

It has been known in the Filipino culture that Christmas is always celebrated for a longer period. When the first day of September hits, the spirit of Christmas can already be felt. For a lot of Filipinos, it has always been the most anticipated celebration of the year, where families gather and reunite. In today's episode, we have invited two of our super moms, Ate Keren and Khan, from our church to share their Christmas experience over the years and how they prepare for it as homemakers. But more than this, join us in knowing what Christmas truly is and how we can celebrate it in the most meaningful way.

    Romance and Love

In the Songs of Solomon, the daughters of Jerusalem were given this charge: “Do not stir up or awaken love until it pleases”. With concepts of hopeless romantics and soulmates here and there, the topic of determining the authenticity of love and identifying the ideal moment to embrace it has become a common subject for social discourse. In this episode of podpointe, let’s discover together love and romance in their most genuine point of view.

What is stress and how to manage it?

In the midst of life's storms, navigating stress can feel like a daunting task. However, the timeless wisdom of the Bible offers a beacon of hope and guidance. In Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus encourages us to find rest in Him, assuring that His yoke is easy and burden is light. This gentle reminder calls us to surrender our worries to a higher power, finding solace in prayer, supplication and thanksgiving (Phil4:6). In this episode, we have invited Ate Chi-Chi to share to us her knowledge regarding stress. She also taught us on how to manage stress holistically and in an effective manner. Here are other bibles verses to go to whenever stress hits you. Proverbs 12:25 reminds us that anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up. Simple acts of kindness, both towards others and ourselves, can serve as a powerful antidote to stress. Psalm 55:22 advises to cast our burdens on the Lord, trusting that He will sustain us. Thus, by embracing God's words and trusting in Him, we can navigate the chaos of stress with resilience and hope.

Is Mental Health Worth Talking About

Our 13th episode today is dedicated to Mental Health Awareness. Did you know that the phrase "how to maintain mental health" reached an all time high in Google Trends 2021, the year after the world was hit by COVID. But long before the pandemic, mental conditions such as PSTD, anxiety, depression, eating disorders(e.g. bulimia and anorexia), suicide and self-harm have been talked about. The question still holds relevance in the past and we firmly believe that it needs an important place to be talked about in today's generation. We like to invite YOU to listen to our conversation today and share with us an experience or information you know about "Mental Health".
