Neville was born in Sydney in 1941 and died in his home in Adelaide in 2022 after an illness that lasted 10 years. In his lifetime, he travelled widely with his wife Philomena. His poems reflect his feelings and understandings of important aspects of his life;his adventuous travelling experiences; his love and appreciation of the outdoors and nature; his family and friends; his long illness; and his experience as an educator.
