The Cowboys entered the competition in 1995; an integral part of this early side was Paul Bowman. Affectionally known as Bear, Bowman lived and breathed North Queensland. Working his way up through the ranks, Paul became club captain and got the opportunity to represent his state. He wasn't the biggest forward in Rugby League, and he certainly wasn't the most flashy but something that Nathan Cayless did possess was the ability to work hard and get the most out of his teammates and himself.From the early days, Cayless loved Rugby League and growing up around it certainly helped found his love for the game. As Cayless got older, his love grew, until finally he got the chance to play first grade for the Parramatta Eels.
