Celebrating 150th Year of Satyashodhak Samaj: In Conversation with Surajkumar Thube
Satyashodhak Samaj was founded on September 24, 1873 by Jotirao Phule, Savitribai Phule and their associates in Pune. On the 150th foundation day of the organisation, The Satyashodhak volunteer Vidula Sonagra spoke with Surajkumar Thube, a doctoral student at the University of Oxford. Thube's work aims at analysing and explaining the emergence of lower castes as 'counterpublics' via their participation in print and performative sphere. This is a recording of Instagram Live session we had with him on Sept 24, 2022.
