    Coming Back to the Basics

In this episode, I'm sharing what it feels like to move through a season where grief, exhaustion, and a long to-do list all seem to arrive at once. The fog is still here, and instead of pretending I've handled everything perfectly, I'm reflecting on what actually helps me find my footing when life feels heavy and out of balance. I share how a simple Pilates session reminded me how powerful it can be to return to the body. After spending so much time in my thoughts and rushing from one thing to the next, intentional movement helped me feel lighter, more present, and a little more connected to myself. This episode also explores the importance of nourishment and the ways we can unintentionally neglect our basic needs when everything feels urgent. Meals, rest, movement, and journaling can start to feel optional when deadlines are loud, but those quiet practices are often what give us the capacity to meet everything else. I reflect on the tendency to search for answers outside of ourselves during periods of transition. Sometimes clarity does not come from trying harder or moving faster. Sometimes it comes from allowing the fog to exist while turning down the noise around us and listening more closely to the wisdom of our bodies, intuition, and inner landscape. I also share how journaling has become a form of thought hygiene for me. It helps clear the mental clutter in the morning and gives me space at night to notice what went well and let the goodness of the day actually sink in. This is an invitation to return to what is simple and essential. To treat your needs as important, even when they do not come with a deadline. And when life feels especially noisy, to remember that you do not have to effort your way out of the fog. Sometimes the most supportive thing you can do is tend gently to what is already here.   Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. An Invitation to Softness - When Grief Catches You By Surprise

In this episode, I'm sharing from the middle of a difficult wave of grief. After feeling like I had begun to understand grief as a companion, I was surprised by how deeply it returned and how quickly it changed the way I moved through my days. I reflect on the pressure I sometimes place on myself to show that I am healing, moving forward, or somehow overcoming grief. But grief is not linear, and there is no finish line I need to reach. I am still getting to know this part of myself, and I am learning to meet it with more compassion instead of expectation. This episode also explores how isolating grief can feel when the people around us instinctively want to fix what we are experiencing. Often, what I need most is not advice or a solution. I need someone willing to listen, witness what is true, and trust that my grief does not need to be repaired. I share what it feels like to be a deep feeler in a world that does not always make room for depth, and how I am learning to let the part of me that wants to help and make everything meaningful step aside sometimes so other parts of me can speak. Even within the heaviness, there are still moments of nourishment and connection. A long walk with Cauchy in the middle of the day reminded me that we are not productivity machines, and that the moments we remember most are often the ones where we gave ourselves permission to simply be present. This is an invitation to softness, gentleness, and slowness. To take what you need. To honor the transitions between where you have been and where you are going. And to trust that you do not have to understand everything you are carrying in order to hold it with care. This episode is for you if: You're on a grief journey and are looking for comfort and understanding in your experience You're in need of a reminder to be compassionate with yourself and to release the expectations you place on yourself You're in a season of life that requires a little more softness and gentle energy You're navigating a transition or are starting over and are getting to know yourself all over again You're trying to understand how to best support someone who is on a grief journey Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to find aligned support as you navigate a significant life transition Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Watch my YouTube Channel to get a peek into my creative life and what I'm working on  Use this FREE intention setting worksheet to find aligned support as you navigate a significant life transition Read this blog post to discover the easiest way to make your day better when life feels overwhelming Listen to this visualization when you want to invite more peace and calm into your life and use a somatic practice to come back to your body and the present moment Related Episodes:  Permission To Be Where You Are - Learning To Embrace All Parts Of The Self With Compassion Connection In The Loudest Places - Exploring The Complexity Of Our Emotional Landscape While Grieving Listening For What Wants To Emerge - Letting Go Of Old Timelines And Honoring Where You're At Right Now When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Playing to Win - When You Take Control Of Your Life Instead Of Letting Your Life Control You

In this episode, I'm reflecting on a mindset shift inspired by the Seattle Seahawks and the difference between playing not to lose and playing to win. As I move into my second football season without my dad, I've been thinking about how that same idea applies to grief, joy, and the way I move through my days. For a long time, especially during grief, my focus has been on avoiding a bad day. I've tried to create control through routines, lists, and getting as much done as possible. But somewhere along the way, even the things that nourish me, like journaling or taking a long walk with Cauchy, started becoming tasks instead of experiences. This episode explores what it might look like to shift from simply getting through the day to asking, how can I make today the best day it can be? Not by avoiding difficulty or pretending hard emotions are not there, but by allowing joy, magic, presence, and unexpected goodness to exist alongside them. I also share about a yearly tarot ritual that suddenly felt disconnected this year because I had turned it into another item on my to-do list. That experience became a reminder that the practices we choose to support ourselves do not need rigid rules. We can return to them differently, change our perspective, and let intuition lead. This is an invitation to notice where you may be moving through life defensively. Where have meaningful rituals become obligations? Where are you trying not to lose instead of allowing yourself to fully participate in the experience? Maybe the shift is as simple as moving from "I have to" to "I get to" and remembering that the day in front of you has never happened before. This episode is for you if: You're ready to step into a leadership position and be more visible in your life You're curious about starting a podcast and/or a YouTube channel and want to get a peek behind the scenes You crave meaningful connections and relationships but find it hard to allow yourself to be fully seen You feel like you've been in hiding and are ready to step out into the light You're a creative who wants to share more of your gifts but aren't sure where to begin Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to find aligned support as you navigate a significant life transition Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Use this FREE intention setting worksheet to help you find your north star Read this blog post to discover the easiest way to make your day better Listen to this visualization when you want to tap into daydream energy and invite more peace and calm into your life Related Episodes:   When Presence Becomes the North Star - Looking To Connection When The Journey Feels Lonely Permission To Be Where You Are - Learning To Embrace All Parts Of The Self With Compassion The Season of Refinement - Letting Go Of Past Identities To Embrace What's Ahead When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. The Courage to Be Seen - Allowing Your Whole Self To Be Received

In this episode, I'm reflecting on what it means to be visible and how my relationship with being seen is beginning to change. For a long time, sharing parts of myself could feel like asking something of other people. Now, I'm starting to see visibility as an opportunity for connection, presence, and meaningful impact. I share about a new opportunity to write the newsletter for my local yarn shop and what it felt like to become more visible within that community through WIP Wednesday. Even though being seen brought up discomfort and old fears, it also gave me the opportunity to receive the support that was already there and recognize how aligned this new role feels. This episode explores the idea that our presence can be meaningful without needing to control how it is received. We do not always have to know exactly how our work will help someone. Sometimes our role is simply to show up, share what feels true, and trust that the right people will find something in it. I'm also finally sharing something I've been creating behind the scenes: a new YouTube channel called From the Shoreline. It will be a lighter, more creative glimpse into my life, where I'll share knitting projects, writing updates, the journey of working on my novel, and more of the everyday creative process. Starting something new feels exciting, playful, uncomfortable, and a little scary all at once. But it also feels deeply aligned with my North Star of creating meaningful ways for us to spend time together. This is an invitation to consider what visibility might mean for you. What if being seen does not have to be about performance or approval? What if your presence, your creativity, and your willingness to share yourself are already enough to create connection? This episode is for you if: You're ready to step into a leadership position and be more visible in your life You're curious about starting a podcast and/or a YouTube channel and want to get a peek behind the scenes You crave meaningful connections and relationships but find it hard to allow yourself to be fully seen You feel like you've been in hiding and are ready to step out into the light You're a creative who wants to share more of your gifts but aren't sure where to begin Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to find aligned support as you navigate a significant life transition Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Use this FREE intention setting worksheet to help you find your north star Read this blog post to discover simple ways to bring joy and whimsy back into your life Listen to this visualization when you want to tap into daydream energy and invite more peace and calm into your life Related Episodes:   The Itchy Sweater Season - Change Can Be Uncomfortable But Discomfort Doesn't Last Forever Permission To Be Where You Are - Learning To Embrace All Parts Of The Self With Compassion Living A Creative Life Offline And Online - Why Community And Authentic Connection Are A Core Part Of The Human Experience When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. The Itchy Sweater Season - Change Can Be Uncomfortable, But Discomfort Doesn't Last Forever

In this episode, I'm reflecting on the uncomfortable part of change where staying where you are no longer feels right, but stepping into what is next does not feel natural yet either. It is the strange middle ground of becoming, where everything can feel a little itchy, clunky, and out of alignment. I share how I experienced this when I first began the Shoreline. Even though I knew podcasting was part of my path, recording felt uncomfortable and self-conscious for a long time. I had to choose the unfamiliar discomfort of something new over the familiar discomfort of staying where I was. Over time, what once felt awkward became one of the most joyful parts of my week. Lately, I've found myself back in another itchy sweater season. After feeling lighter and energized, things suddenly became heavy again. Grief has felt more like a fog than an all-consuming sadness, and I've been navigating the frustration of having ideas and desires without always having the energy to bring them to life. This episode explores how discomfort can actually bring clarity. When everything feels a little off, the things that truly belong to us become easier to recognize. Like finally changing out of an itchy sweater and into your favorite pajamas, alignment can feel especially obvious after a season of discomfort. I also share my desire to return to journaling as a daily ritual and reconnect with a part of myself that feels deeply familiar. Through morning pages and an evening practice of reflecting on what went well, what is still taking up mental space, and what I want to call into my life, I'm creating small anchors as I continue moving through this next phase of becoming. This is an invitation to notice what feels like an itchy sweater in your own life. What has become uncomfortable to keep carrying? And what brings that unmistakable feeling of relief when you move toward it? This episode is for you if: You're on the verge of a new chapter and navigating the discomfort that comes from growth, evolution, and expansion You're curious about starting a podcast and want to know more about what happens behind the scenes You're navigating an uncomfortable seasons of life where nothing feels aligned and you aren't sure how to move forward You're ready to go after what you want and create your dream life You're feeling stuck and aren't sure how to move forward Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to find aligned support as you navigate a significant life transition Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Use this FREE intention setting worksheet to help you find your north star Read this blog post to discover simple ways to bring joy and whimsy back into your life Listen to this visualization when you want to tap into daydream energy and invite more peace and calm into your life Related Episodes:   Rooting Into What's Next- Embracing A New Identity And New Life After Loss And Transition When Flow Falters - How To Navigate Old Patterns When They Reappear Listening For What Wants To Emerge - Letting Go Of Old Timelines And Honoring Where You're At Right Now When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. When Presence Becomes the North Star - Looking To Connection When The Journey Feels Lonely

In this episode, I'm reflecting on the idea of a North Star and how the value that has guided me for most of my life is beginning to change. For as long as I can remember, being helpful has been deeply important to me. I have wanted to support others, make things easier, and be someone people could turn to. Lately, I've started to notice that helping does not always need to mean fixing, removing pain, or offering solutions. Sometimes what matters most is simply being present, listening, and creating meaningful ways to spend time together. I share how this shift is changing the way I think about my work. One-on-one coaching will continue to be part of what I do, but I am also feeling called to create connection through this podcast, writing, future courses, and other experiences that allow us to meet across time and space. This episode also explores the vulnerability of allowing creative work to be witnessed. My role is not to decide exactly how something should be received or prove why it is valuable. My role is to create, share, and trust that the work will find the people it is meant for. Grief has taught me that we do not always need advice or answers when we are moving through something difficult. Sometimes we only need someone willing to sit beside us. Your journey is uniquely yours, but you do not have to navigate it without companionship. As the energy begins to feel lighter, I'm also looking ahead toward fall, new routines, fresh ideas, and a renewed sense of possibility. For the first time in a long while, thinking about the future feels hopeful, creative, and full of room to explore. This episode is for you if: You're feeling alone on your journey and crave a companion or someone to witness what you're going through You're on a grief journey and want to explore how that's shaping you You're navigating a big life transition and are exploring who you're becoming and what you'd like to create You're a creative who's ready to step into the spotlight and share your work You're exploring new ways of being and ready to embrace new ideas and energy shifts Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to find aligned support as you navigate a significant life transition Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Use this FREE intention setting worksheet to help you find your north star Read this blog post to learn more about the power of Human Design Listen to this visualization when you want to tap into daydream energy and invite more peace and calm into your life Related Episodes:  Letting The Magic In - Embracing Small Joys And Allowing Yourself To Just Be Letting The Water Carry You - Shifting From Exploring Possibilities To Creating A New Reality Stepping Into Your Intuitive Gifts Embracing LIfe As An Artist And Creative Soul When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Letting the Magic In - Embracing Small Joys And Allowing Yourself To Just Be

In this episode, I'm reflecting on what busy means to me now and how that definition has changed over time. There was a season when I enjoyed moving quickly from one thing to the next, but lately I've been craving more transition time, more quiet, and more space to simply be. I share how I've been observing the rhythm of my days and noticing what feels supportive versus overwhelming. As a creative person, I need room to daydream, explore ideas, and let inspiration arrive without pressure. Creating that space has already begun to shift something in me, and new possibilities are starting to form. This episode also explores what it means to embrace summer in a way that feels true. Sometimes joy arrives through the smallest moments, like stopping for an ice cream cone on a warm day, watching the sunset, or taking an unexpected two-hour walk with Cauchy through the neighborhood. I reflect on the excitement of upcoming plans, from a beach trip with my sister to the Flock fiber festival, and how meaningful it feels to see a dream of finding community through knitting come to life. I also share the tenderness that comes with approaching another football season without my dad and the way grief and joy continue to exist side by side. This is an invitation to create enough space for life to surprise you. To release the pressure to fill every moment, stay present with what is here, and allow small moments of beauty, connection, and delight to find their way in. This episode is for you if: You're in a season of change and are ready to redefine your life and what being busy means for you You're on a grief journey and navigating the complexity of all the emotions present with grief You're ready to let go of the hustle and create more space in your life to just be You're shifting into new possibilities and are looking for inspiration and companionship Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to find aligned support as you navigate a significant life transition Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Use this FREE intention setting worksheet to help you find your north star Read this blog post to learn how to shift the energy of your day in one simple step Listen to this visualization when you want to tap into daydream energy and invite more peace and calm into your life Related Episodes:  The Season of Refinement - Letting Go Of Past Identities To Embrace What's Ahead A Life With Room To Breathe - Letting Go Of Being "Busy" And Embracing A Slower Pace Returning Home To Yourself - An Invitation To Step Into Self-Trust And Return To What Feels Most True When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. The Dream Life That Is Already Here - Letting Go Of How Things Should Be To Create Room For What Is Most Fulfilling

In this episode, I'm reflecting on the difference between a dream life and a fantasy life. After listening to a podcast episode about designing your dream life, I found myself asking what my own dream life really looks like and whether I have been chasing something far away or overlooking what is already here. As I journaled through that question, I realized that so many pieces of my dream life already exist. That realization shifted something in me. Instead of focusing only on what is missing, I began to see how much fulfillment, beauty, and alignment are already present in the life I'm living now. I also share how grief, funkiness, and feeling stuck in routine can make it easy to move through the days on autopilot. When creativity starts to feel like something I have to do instead of something I get to do, the magic begins to fade. This episode explores the importance of returning to joy, spaciousness, and the kind of daily rhythm that lets life feel alive again. I reflect on my desire for more space in my days and how difficult that can feel in a culture that glorifies busyness, productivity, and constant movement. What I'm craving right now is time freedom, quiet, creativity, and room for small, unexpected moments of magic. This episode is also about honoring where I am in this season. I may not have big summer travel plans or a packed calendar, but I am living in a home I love, surrounded by my animals, the water, the mountains, and the life I worked so hard to create. There is nothing wrong with wanting to stay close to what feels nourishing and true. This is an invitation to look honestly at your own dream life. What parts of it are already here? What are you still moving toward? And what might shift if you allowed your days to feel less like a checklist and more like a life you actually get to live? This episode is for you if: You're feeling stuck and want to take steps toward creating the life of your dreams You're in a time of deep transformation and are looking for inspiration on how to move forward You're ready to build a life you truly love You're curious about how Human Design works and how it can support you You're ready to let go of guilt and the "shoulds" in your life in pursuit of what brings the most joy and fulfillment Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to find aligned support as you navigate a significant life transition Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Use this FREE intention setting worksheet to help you find your north star Read this blog post to learn how to shift the energy of your day in one simple step Listen to this podcast episode from A Beautiful Mess for more reflections on how to design your dream life Related Episodes:  Choosing Gratitude Over Guilt - Letting Go Of Effort To Make Space For Ease Letting It Be For You: Learning To Live In The Unknown With Self-Compassion Inviting Magic Into The Everyday - How To Bring More Presence And Joy Into Your Day When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Letting the New Version Lead - Sitting With The Discomfort Of Moving Forward And Doing Things Differently

In this episode, I'm sharing from the messy middle of the in-between. After trying to record this episode several times, I realized that maybe it was never meant to feel perfectly polished. The beauty of this space is that it is unfinished, experimental, and full of possibility. I reflect on how old patterns can resurface when we are becoming someone new. As I think about my writing, my novel, and the next evolution of the Shoreline, I've noticed myself wanting to approach this season the same way I built my jewelry company. That version of me was tenacious, hungry, and willing to figure things out through effort and pressure. But I am not that same person anymore. This episode explores what it means to let the new version of yourself build in a new way. Writing asks something different of me than jewelry did. It asks for space, intuition, flow, and a willingness to disconnect from outside noise so the story can come through naturally. I also share how uncomfortable it can feel to let something be easy, joyful, or intuitive when you are used to efforting your way forward. Sometimes the discomfort is not a sign that you are doing something wrong. Sometimes it is the feeling of growth, transformation, and a new identity beginning to take shape. As I move through Mercury retrograde, Cancer season, and the reflection that comes before my birthday, I'm taking time to honor all the past versions of myself while making space for the one who is ready to lead now. I'm still in the in-between, still on my grief journey, still figuring it out, and also feeling a stronger call to support others through their own seasons of becoming. This is an invitation to notice where you may be trying to build something new with an old version of yourself. What would shift if you let a different part of you take the lead? What might become possible if you allowed the path forward to feel more natural, spacious, and true? This episode is for you if: You're in the messy in-between space and ready to let go of your perfectionism You're rebuilding your life after a big transition and are ready to let go of the past You're grieving and trying to navigate the complex feelings that come with grief You're in a season of learning to receive support and are feeling the discomfort of being in the new You're a writer or creative who keeps trying to use their analytical mind to create Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to find aligned support as you navigate a significant life transition Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Download this FREE audio experience to invite more calm and peace into your life and reconnect with your inner wisdom Learn about my favorite Human Design experts to dive deeper into your chart Related Episodes:  The Season of Refinement - Letting Go Of Past Identities To Embrace What's Ahead Stepping Into Your Intuitive Gifts Embracing LIfe As An Artist And Creative Soul Returning Home To Yourself - An Invitation To Step Into Self-Trust And Return To What Feels Most True When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Permission to Be Where You Are - Learning To Embrace All Parts Of The Self With Compassion

In this episode, I'm sharing from a place of not having everything neatly figured out. As I sat down to record, I realized I didn't have a clear topic or message ready. Instead, what felt most honest was to speak from the blankness, the inwardness, and the depth of grief that has been present for me this week. I reflect on the pressure I've felt to turn grief into a beautiful transformation story. There is a part of me that wants to make meaning from loss, to become a bright guiding light, and to wrap the experience in hope. But grief does not always work that way. Sometimes it does not need a silver lining. Sometimes it simply needs to be what it is. I also share a vivid dream I had about my dad, where I was driving with him and kept passing his car because I wanted more time together. Waking from that dream brought both joy and sadness, which is one of the hardest parts of grief to explain. It can feel beautiful to visit the memories, and devastating to return to the reality that new memories will not be created in the same way. This episode explores the non-linear nature of healing. Grief can spiral back to places you thought you had already moved through, whether that looks like crying in a restaurant, feeling overwhelmed by memories, or comparing your grief to someone else's. None of it means you are doing it wrong. This is an invitation to release the timelines, rules, and judgments around grief. However your grief is expressing itself, it is allowed. You do not have to rush yourself into meaning, clarity, or acceptance before you are ready. You can simply be here, exactly as you are. This episode is for you if: You're feeling lost in your grief and aren't sure what to make of it You're going through a significant transformation and trying to make sense of it all You're exploring parts of yourself and learning to be more self-compassionate You feel pressure to be at a certain milestone and looking for permission to just be You're starting over and feeling self-conscious about where you're at Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to find aligned support as you navigate a significant life transition Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Download this FREE audio experience to invite more calm and peace into your life and reconnect with your inner wisdom Learn how to shift the energy of your day using a morning ritual Read this essay about losing my dad and being catapulted into the unknown Related Episodes:  Connection In The Loudest Places - Exploring The Complexity Of Our Emotional Landscape While Grieving Letting It Be For You: Learning To Live In The Unknown With Self-Compassion Clarity Over Certainty - Integrating Grief And Moving Forward With Intention Without Needing To See The Entire Path When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Letting the Water Carry You - Shifting From Exploring Possibilities To Creating A New Reality

In this episode, I'm reflecting on how to find grounding and balance while moving through change. After last week's conversation about impermanence, I've been sitting with the reminder that the present moment is truly where life happens. The past has already passed, the future is still unknown, and all we can really return to is what is here right now. I share more about what it means to be in an in-between space where anything feels possible, while also recognizing that not every possibility is meant to come with us. Sometimes making space for what is next means lovingly releasing old dreams, identities, and versions of ourselves that no longer feel aligned. This episode explores the grief that can come with letting go of dreams that may never be fully realized. Whether it is an old career path, a past version of yourself, a season of travel, or memories you wish you could still create with someone you love, release can bring sadness and clarity at the same time. I also reflect on how my curiosity and adventurous spirit have shifted. While I may not be in a season of outward travel, that energy is still alive in me through writing, storytelling, and the worlds I want to bring to life. Some dreams fall away so the ones that matter most can receive more of our devotion. This is an invitation to come back to the present moment and let it be enough. To notice the birds, the sky, the smell of summer, the feeling of being here. To hold your dreams like a north star while still allowing yourself to be carried by the flow of life. This episode is for you if: You're going through a major life change and shifting your identity You're on a grief journey and navigating complex emotions You're ready to step into a new reality and create an aligned future for yourself You're trying to make sense of where you are right now and feeling lost on your path You're a writer or creative who wants to pursue their dream career Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Download this FREE audio experience to invite more calm and peace into your life and reconnect with your inner wisdom Read my 5 favorite books to inspire a creative life Read this essay about embracing a new identity to shift your perspective Related Episodes:  Who Are You Without The Chaos? -  Releasing Old Patterns And Stepping Into A New Reality  Finding Your Creative Shoreline - How I Use Authentic Expression To Drive My Creativity From Stillness Into Motion - Navigating Change With Balance When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. The Tenderness of Impermanence - Embracing What We Have Right Now Without Being Afraid Of What Comes After

In this episode, I'm reflecting on impermanence and the way everything in life is always changing. After sharing last week that I had been feeling frustrated and in a mood, I've been sitting with what has been underneath that feeling and noticing how much anticipatory grief has been present for me. I talk about my dog Cauchy entering her senior years and how that has brought up a deeper awareness of how precious our time together is. When we love someone deeply, whether it's a person, an animal, a relationship, or even a season of life, we also know that it will eventually change. That awareness can bring fear and sadness, but it can also bring us closer to what matters most. This episode explores how grief can help clarify our priorities. It can make the noise fall away and remind us not to spend our time on things that only feel like maybes. When we remember that our moments are limited, we are invited to be more present, more honest, and more devoted to the people and experiences we truly care about. I also share an image my inner voice once gave me of riding a roller coaster. In the moment before the drop, we can grip tightly and try to control what happens, or we can lift our hands, trust the ride, and allow ourselves to feel both the fear and the joy of being alive. Returning Again and Again - Harnessing The Power Of Vulnerability And Allowing Yourself To Be Received As You Are

In this episode, I'm sharing honestly about a week where I found myself in a bit of a funk. After feeling excitement and momentum around my writing and the possibility of self-publishing, I suddenly felt anxious, frustrated, and out of sorts without one clear reason why. I reflect on how growth and expansion can require time for the nervous system to adjust, and why moving forward does not always feel light or exciting. Sometimes it looks like crankiness, uncertainty, or needing extra care while the body finds a new sense of balance. I also talk about the pressure to give everything we care about one hundred percent of our energy. Life does not always allow for that, especially when we are carrying grief, responsibilities, creativity, and many different priorities at once. What we are able to give in this moment is enough. I also reflect on the importance of community, vulnerability, and having spaces where we can be completely unfiltered. There is something deeply healing about allowing another person to witness what we are experiencing, even when we cannot wrap it in a perfect message or tie it with a bow. Consistency is not a perfect routine or never becoming derailed. It is the willingness to return to what matters again and again, while remaining flexible and compassionate with ourselves along the way. This is an invitation to honor wherever you are today. You do not have to be positive all the time, and you do not need a clear explanation for every feeling. Sometimes sharing what is true is enough to help the weight begin to lift. This episode is for you if: You're going through a difficult time and ready to find a release You want to live a slower life and let go of the pressure to constantly adapt to technology You're ready to build community and need inspiration on where to start You're learning the value of being witnessed and the importance of connection in your life You're in a season full of change and transition Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Download this FREE audio experience to invite more calm and peace into your life and reconnect with your inner wisdom Learn how your mornings can shift the entire energy of your day Use my favorite tool for self-reflection to help you get unstuck and transform your life Related Episodes:  Who Are You Without The Chaos?: Releasing Old Patterns And Stepping Into A New Reality Trusting What's Beneath The Surface: Let Your Inner Wisdom Guide You And Allow Your Creative Potential To Shine Through When Flow Falters - How To Navigate Old Patterns When They Reappear When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Choosing Gratitude Over Guilt - Letting Go Of Effort To Make Space for Ease

In this episode, I'm reflecting on what it means to hold grief and joy at the same time. After closing a meaningful coaching chapter and moving into a deeper integration of grief, I've been noticing how closely joy and sadness can exist beside one another. I share about being a guest on The Spiritual Safe House podcast and what it felt like to revisit the days surrounding my dad's passing. Telling that story brought many emotions back to the surface, but it also opened the door to new insight and possibility. During a conversation with the host, I received a nudge to explore self-publishing my novel. What once felt like a path I hadn't considered now feels expansive, creative, and deeply aligned with my desire to retain ownership of my work. I also reflect on the recurring presence of the book Signs and what it might mean for my path of helping others connect with loved ones who have passed. This episode also explores my relationship with effort, earning, and the belief that work must feel difficult in order to be valuable. I'm learning to let work feel more like play, to allow my days to be good, and to meet joy with gratitude instead of guilt. This is an invitation to welcome every emotion as it arrives. Grief, joy, fear, excitement, and possibility can all belong in the same room. You do not have to make life harder to deserve what is beautiful. Listen to my conversation on The Spiritual Safe House: Please Give a Warm Welcome to Kim Kogane, Writer and Intuitive Guide This episode is for you if: You're curious about how to communicate with the Universe and love ones who have passed You're experiencing grief and looking for support as you navigate emotionally complex landscapes You're an over-achiever who's ready to expand and find more joy and ease You're a writer thinking about self-publishing You're curious about Human Design and want to learn about how you can use it to find more alignment and ease in your life Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Read this blog for my favorite books to inspire a creative life Learn more about how Human Design can help change your life Download this FREE audio experience to invite more calm and peace into your life and reconnect with your inner wisdom Related Episodes:  Connection In The Loudest Places: Exploring The Complexity Of Our Emotional Landscape While Grieving Choosing The Path That Feels True - How Grief Deepened My Connection To My Purpose Clarity Over Certainty - Integrating Grief And Moving Forward With Intention Without Needing To See The Entire Path When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Clarity Over Certainty - Integrating Grief And Moving Forward With Intention Without Needing To See The Entire Path

In this episode, I'm reflecting on the closing of a deeply transformative chapter and what it means to move forward after a season shaped by grief. After working with a leadership coach over the past year, I recently had my final session and felt the importance of intentionally closing that container and honoring everything it held. I share how grief has changed my understanding of what it means to heal. In the beginning, I simply wanted to feel better and return to normal. Now, I can see that there is no going back to who I was before. Grief has become part of me, not something happening to me, and it has shaped me into a new version of myself. I also reflect on the role of coaching and guidance during in-between seasons. A good guide can act as a mirror, helping you see yourself more clearly when life feels distorted or uncertain. As I looked back on the work I've done, I realized how much growth had happened one step at a time. This episode explores what it means to carry grief as a companion while still allowing room for joy, magic, possibility, and abundance. It is also about learning to trust the unknown. Certainty may not always be available, but clarity can become an anchor. When you know who you are, what you value, and what matters most, you can move forward without needing to see the entire path. This episode is for you if: You're navigating a grief journey and want support with how to integrate your grief You're deepening your emotional landscape and experiencing the complexity of feeling multiple emotions at once You're going through a time of transition and stepping into the unknown You're struggling to let go of old identities You are ready to let go of certainty and explore possibilities Resources and Links:  Read this blog for tips on how to get unstuck and find clarity when you're facing the unknown  Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet to find more clarity and purpose in your life Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Related Episodes:  From Stillness Into Motion: Navigating Change With Balance Choosing The Path That Feels True: How Grief Deepened My Connection To My Purpose When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore: Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. The Season of Refinement - Letting Go Of Past Identities To Embrace What's Ahead

In this episode, I'm continuing the reflection on what it means to become unshakable and exploring the next layer that has been unfolding for me: refinement. After moving through big changes, grief, and identity shifts, I'm finding myself in a quieter season of getting clear on what truly belongs in this next version of my life. I share how this process has brought up the need to lovingly release old pieces of my identity, including the version of me who was once defined by open wounds and active healing. As those wounds become more like scars, I'm asking what it means to move through the world as someone who is more rooted, more healed, and more willing to let the past versions of herself rest. I also reflect on the importance of saying no to the things that sit in the maybe pile. As I continue refining my energy, I'm learning to trust the wisdom of my body and recognize that if something is not a full-bodied yes, it may be a no. This clarity creates more space for what truly excites and aligns. This episode also touches on overthinking, embodiment, and the practice of returning to the body when the mind begins to spiral. As I look ahead to summer, I'm calling in more joy, creativity, play, and a lighter way of moving through life while continuing to honor the deeper work that has brought me here. This is an invitation to reflect on what refinement might look like for you. What are you ready to release? What deserves your yes? And who are you becoming as the picture comes into clearer focus? This episode is for you if: You're navigating a life transition or identity shift You've done significant healing work and are wondering what comes next You're learning to trust yourself and make decisions with more clarity You're craving a life that feels more aligned, intentional, and spacious You're ready to release old versions of yourself and embrace what's emerging Resources and Links:  Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next Read this blog about how to craft the perfect morning ritual to help shift the energy of your days Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline  Related Episodes:  Returning Home To Yourself - An Invitation To Step Into Self-Trust And Return To What Feels Most True Listening For What Wants To Emerge: Letting Go Of Timelines And Honoring Where You're At Right Now When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore: Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Becoming Unshakable - Channeling Inner Strength While Moving Forward After Loss

In this episode, I'm reflecting on what happened after I declared that I was beginning to feel rooted and unshakable in this new season of life. Almost immediately, life began to mirror that declaration back to me through obstacles, challenges, and moments that asked me to see just how steady I have become. I share about a recent knitting retreat on San Juan Island and how the experience brought forward both joy and grief. While the retreat itself was beautiful and deeply nourishing, it also helped me recognize that I'm no longer in the same season of adventure and travel that I once was. What used to feel like a core part of my identity has shifted, and I'm learning to honor the quieter life that feels true for me now. I also reflect on how grief continues to shape me and how signs of my dad's presence appeared throughout the weekend. His absence was felt deeply, but so was the growth that has come from carrying that grief over the past year. In the midst of discomfort, I was able to see how much stronger and more capable I have become. This episode is about understanding that declarations often invite life to show us what we're ready to embody. When we claim a new identity or vision for ourselves, the universe may bring forward the very challenges that help us grow into it. These moments are not punishments or setbacks. They are opportunities to release what no longer fits and trust what is taking root. This episode is for you if: You're ready to embrace your own strength and become an anchor for yourself You're claiming a new identity and shifting into a new era of life You're in a season of transition and want to feel less alone You're experiencing grief and learning how to integrate it into your life You're ready to let go of hustle and over-achieving in pursuit of a quieter life Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Learn more about how Human Design can help change your life Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Discover how you best connect to your inner wisdom by taking this quiz Related Episodes:  Connection In The Loudest Places: Exploring The Complexity Of Our Emotional Landscape While Grieving Clarity Over Certainty - Integrating Grief And Moving Forward With Intention Without Needing To See The Entire Path Listening For What Wants To Emerge - Letting Go Of Old Timelines And Honoring Where You're At Right Now  When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Rooting Into What's Next - Embracing A New Identity And New Life After Loss And Transition

In this episode, I'm reflecting on what it feels like to move out of an in-between season and begin grounding into something new. As I've been thinking about this podcast, my work, and how I want to show up creatively, I've noticed an old pattern of trying to be relatable or shaping what I share around what I think others might want from me. I explore what it means to move beyond that and trust that true connection can come from being more fully ourselves. Instead of trying to fit into an existing mold, I'm feeling called to share from a place of ease, joy, play, and co-creation with the universe, even when that feels vulnerable or uncertain. I also share an intuitive image that came to me of a tree being uprooted and replanted somewhere new. That image helped me understand the past year of grief, change, and transition in a deeper way. After feeling ungrounded for so long, I'm beginning to feel my roots stretch into this new life and this new version of myself. This episode is about honoring the complexity of becoming. The joy, the grief, the discomfort, the hope, and the courage it takes to name what you truly want and begin moving toward it. Sometimes the life you once dreamed of arrives in a form you didn't expect, but the essence is still there. This episode is for you if: You're ready to live a more creative life and pursue your creative dreams You're letting go of over-achieving and hustle to co-create with the Universe and find more joy and play You're deepening your connection to your intuition and inner wisdom while you go through a life transition You're exploring the complexity of grief after losing a loved one and want support as you move through the discomfort You're life suddenly changed and you're embracing a new reality, new identity, and new way of being Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Discover how you best connect to your inner wisdom by taking this quiz Learn how to shift the energy of your day using a morning ritual Related Episodes:  Clarity Over Certainty - Integrating Grief And Moving Forward With Intention Without Needing To See The Entire Path When Flow Falters - How To Navigate Old Patterns When They Reappear From Stillness Into Motion - Navigating Change With Balance When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Leading Yourself With Compassion - Using Tarot As A Guide And A Tool For Self-Reflection

In this episode, I'm sharing a tarot reading for the month of May and exploring the themes that are coming forward as we move deeper into this season of growth and transformation. The overall theme is represented by the Lion card, which speaks to leadership, self mastery, and taking ownership of your path. This is a reminder that you are the one guiding your life, even in moments where it feels like your circumstances are outside of your control. Growth begins with acknowledging your ability to choose, evolve, and move toward what feels true for you. I then explore the Nine of Swords, which invites us to look honestly at the parts of ourselves we may be avoiding. This card brings awareness to inner tension, self judgment, and the ways we can become our own biggest obstacle. Rather than fearing these aspects, this is an opportunity to gently bring them into the light and allow them to be part of the transformation process. The Son of Wands adds another layer, encouraging us to release the illusion of perfection. This is a reminder that growth is not about fixing yourself, but about becoming more fully who you already are. Your uniqueness, your complexity, and your imperfection are all part of what makes your path meaningful. Finally, the Empress offers a grounding and nurturing energy. This card calls us to care for ourselves with compassion, to reconnect with nature, and to create space for reflection and restoration. Growth does not have to be forceful. It can be supported through softness, patience, and intentional care. This episode is an invitation to lead yourself with compassion as you continue to grow. To face what is ready to be seen, to release the need for perfection, and to trust that even small shifts can create meaningful change over time. This episode is for you if: You're interested in learning more about tarot and how it can support you on your journey You're in a season of growth and transformation and looking for support You're ready to create more space in your life to reconnect with nature and a quieter life You're looking for inspiration on how to be more intentional in your life You're letting go of perfectionism and creating a softer life for yourself with more compassion and understanding Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Dive into tarot and discover my favorite tarot decks and what makes them great Use these prompts to jumpstart your tarot practice Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Related Episodes:  Finding Light In A Heavy Season - Key Themes From The Tarot For The Month Ahead Inviting Magic Into The Everyday - How To Bring More Presence And Joy Into Your Day Where Intuition Meets The In-Between - Using Tarot As A Tool For Self-Discovery When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Who Are You Without the Chaos?: Releasing Old Patterns And Stepping Into A New Reality

In this episode, I'm taking time to reflect on the closing of a season as we move out of April and into something new. There has been a strong sense of completion in my life lately, and I've been sitting with what it means to move forward after a period of deep transformation. I share how grief over the past year has reshaped my life in profound ways. In its intensity, it stripped away anything that didn't feel essential, forcing me to focus only on what truly mattered. Now, as I begin to rebuild, I'm stepping into a new phase that feels more grounded, intentional, and rooted in what I want to create moving forward. One of the biggest themes that has surfaced is my relationship with chaos. For much of my life, growth and creation have come from pressure, urgency, and external validation. Now, I'm exploring what it means to live and create from a place of calm, stability, and spaciousness, and learning how to trust that I can still move forward without the constant presence of disruption. I also reflect on how easy it can be to unconsciously create chaos, even when it's no longer needed. Whether through overcommitting, seeking intensity, or filling space that could otherwise remain open, there is a tendency to recreate what feels familiar. This episode is an invitation to notice where that might be happening in your own life. This conversation is about allowing things to settle, honoring transitions, and creating space for something new to take root. Growth does not always have to come from upheaval. Sometimes it comes from stillness, presence, and the willingness to let things be simpler than they once were. This episode is for you if: You find yourself in a new reality that feels unfamiliar and you find yourself wanting to return to old patterns You're in a quieter season of life and growing out of patterns of chaos You're honoring a time of transition in your life and want to create stability for yourself You're rewiring your nervous system and navigating the discomfort that comes from releasing what feels familiar You're learning how to trust yourself as you move through growth and change Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Use my tips on how to move forward when you feel stuck where you're at Learn how to transform your days by using a morning ritual Related Episodes:  Connection In The Loudest Places: Exploring The Complexity Of Our Emotional Landscape While Grieving A Life With Room To Breathe - Letting Go Of Being "Busy" And Embracing A Slower Pace When Flow Falters - How To Navigate Old Patterns When They Reappear Choosing The Path That Feels True - How Grief Deepened My Connection To My Purpose When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Letting It Be for You: Learning To Live In The Unknown With Self-Compassion

In this episode, I'm reflecting on what has unfolded since letting go of teaching and how that decision has created more space, clarity, and gratitude in my life. What once might have felt like a failure now feels like an essential part of the journey, a path I needed to walk in order to fully understand what is and isn't meant for me. I share how this experience has led me into a deeper period of self reflection, where old patterns and questions have begun to surface. One of the biggest realizations has been noticing how easy it is for me to show up when something is in service of others, and how much more challenging it can be to stay committed to something that is just for me, especially when it comes to my writing practice. Rather than rushing to fix or solve this pattern, I'm allowing myself to sit with it, to get curious, and to explore what it might be asking of me. I'm also leaning into a new intention of practicing both devotion and detachment. Devotion in showing up consistently to what matters, and detachment in releasing the need for a specific outcome. I also open up about my relationship with intuition and the moments where I find myself wanting to disconnect, even when I feel deeply connected. This push and pull has led me to think more about how we relate to the different parts of ourselves, especially the ones that feel protective or afraid. This episode is an invitation to hold all parts of yourself with compassion. The parts that feel aligned and open, and the parts that feel uncertain or resistant. They all belong, and they all have something to offer as you continue to grow. This episode is for you if: You're feeling self-judgement come up because you're not sure what's next for you You're learning to be more self-compassionate and are looking for reassurance You're letting go of needing a specific outcome and learning to enjoy the process of life You're getting curious about you inner landscape and learning to hold all parts of yourself You recently let something go and are sitting in the aftermath of make a hard decision Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Download this FREE audio experience to invite more calm and peace into your life and reconnect with your inner wisdom Read this blog for my tips on what to do when you're feel stuck and unsure of what's next Learn more about how Human Design can help change your life Related Episodes:  The Path That Was Meant to End Exploring The Idea Of Alignment And Releasing Old Identities  A Life With Room To Breathe - Letting Go Of Being "Busy" And Embracing A Slower Pace From Stillness Into Motion - Navigating Change With Balance When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. The Path That Was Meant to End - Exploring The Idea Of Alignment And Releasing Old Identities

In this episode, I'm reflecting on a recent experience that challenged my understanding of alignment. We often think of alignment as something that feels easy, flowing, and forward moving, but sometimes it leads us down a path that ultimately comes to an end. And that, too, can be part of the process. I share my journey of returning to teaching through Pilates after stepping away from being a barre instructor. What initially felt aligned and supported quickly shifted into something that no longer felt true. Even with external validation and positive feedback, I found myself feeling drained, disconnected, and out of alignment with how I wanted to spend my time. Through this experience, I realized that the lesson wasn't to push through or prove something to myself. The real growth came from recognizing when something was no longer right and having the courage to walk away. Choosing to leave, even when I was close to finishing what I started, became an act of self-trust and self-respect. I also reflect on how revisiting this path gave me the closure I didn't have before. Without stepping back into that role, I might have always wondered if I had made the wrong choice. Instead, I now feel a deep sense of clarity and peace, along with a renewed appreciation for the space and rhythm of my life as it is now. This episode is for you if: You're stuck in a life transition and not sure what's next You're ready to let something go, but are unsure of what will come next You're in a season that feels difficult and keep asking yourself "why" You're letting go of old identities that no longer fit who you are and who you want to become You want to create more self-trust and self-respect within yourself but aren't sure how Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Use my tips on how to get unstuck when you're feeling unsure of your next step Learn about my favorite tool for self-reflection and how it change your life Related Episodes:  Returning Home To Yourself - An Invitation To Step Into Self-Trust And Return To What Feels Most True Listening For What Wants To Emerge - Letting Go Of Old Timelines And Honoring Where You're At Right Now  Choosing The Path That Feels True - How Grief Deepened My Connection To My Purpose When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Stepping Into Your Intuitive Gifts - Embracing Life As An Artist And Creative Soul

In this episode, I'm building on last week's tarot reading and exploring a deeper layer of what it means to step out of hiding. While the raccoon card often speaks to creativity and artistic expression, I felt called to focus on another aspect of that message, the intuitive gifts we carry and the ways we sometimes keep them hidden. I share more about my own journey with intuition and how that connection has evolved over time. While I've always been sensitive and tuned in, it took years of exploration, practice, and openness to fully acknowledge and trust that inner wisdom. Tools like tarot became a bridge, helping me understand how that connection speaks and how to receive it more clearly. In this episode, I walk through some of the ways our inner wisdom communicates with us. For some, it shows up through visuals, like images or scenes unfolding. For others, it comes through words, whether that's an inner voice or through writing and journaling. And for many, it's felt through the body, in subtle sensations, emotions, or physical signals that guide and affirm what is true. I also reflect on how important it is to build a relationship with your own intuition before trying to share it outwardly. Strengthening that connection creates a sense of trust and grounding, which makes it easier to step forward and express what you are receiving in a way that feels aligned and authentic. This episode is an invitation to gently explore your own intuitive gifts, whatever form they may take. You don't have to rush or have all the answers. It can begin with curiosity, with openness, and with allowing yourself to acknowledge that this part of you exists. This episode is for you if: You identify as an artist and are ready to share your gift with the world You want to deepen your connection to your intuition and use it to channel creative energy You're building a relationship with your inner wisdom and deepening your trust with yourself You're ready to explore your intuitive gifts and embrace a new identity You're feeling stuck in life and aren't sure what's next for you Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Download this FREE audio experience to invite more calm and peace into your life and reconnect with your inner wisdom Learn about 3 simple ways to create a more magical life Read about my favorite tarot decks and why I love them Related Episodes:  A Life With Room To Breathe - Letting Go Of Being "Busy" And Embracing A Slower Pace Living A Creative Life Offline And Online - Why Community And Authentic Connection Are A Core Part Of The Human Experience Where Intuition Meets The In-Between - Using Tarot As A Tool For Self-Discovery When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Trusting What's Beneath the Surface - Let Your Inner Wisdom Guide You And Allow Your Creative Potential To Shine Through

In this episode, I'm sharing a tarot reading for the month ahead and reflecting on the themes that are emerging as we step into a new season. As spring begins and we enter a new astrological year, this feels like a moment of renewal, creativity, and quiet transformation. I walk through a four card clarity spread, beginning with the raccoon as the overall theme. This card speaks to the experience of being a creative in hiding, navigating questions around identity, self-expression, and the fear of being fully seen. It invites us to explore what parts of ourselves we've been keeping tucked away and what it might look like to step forward with more honesty and authenticity. From there, I explore the Ace of Wands, which brings in the energy of new beginnings and creative potential. This card asks us to consider what we want to nurture and grow in this next chapter, without needing to have all the answers. Creativity thrives in openness, and this moment is an invitation to follow what sparks something within you. I also reflect on the High Priestess, which calls us inward. This is a time to reconnect with intuition, to listen to what exists beneath the surface, and to trust the quieter forms of knowing that don't always come with clear explanations. There is wisdom in the unknown, and part of this season is learning how to move with it rather than resist it. Finally, I share the message of Judgment, reframed as an invitation into forgiveness. Letting go of old identities, old fears, and the parts of ourselves that were built around survival allows space for something new to emerge. This is not about rejecting who you were, but honoring that version of yourself while allowing growth to unfold. A Life With Room to Breathe - Letting Go Of Being "Busy" And Embracing A Slower Pace

In this episode, I'm reflecting on what this new season is asking of me and the kind of life I want to create moving forward. As spring begins, I've been thinking about what I want to release and how I want to move ahead with more intention. I share how the idea of slow living has been resonating, but not quite fully capturing what I need. Instead, I've been drawn to the idea of spacious living. For me, this means creating a rhythm that allows for both movement and pause, where action is balanced with open space to think, feel, and simply be. I reflect on how different environments have shaped my understanding of busyness and how easy it is to fall into patterns that no longer feel aligned. Over time, I've realized that the life I want to build now is not about returning to who I was, but about honoring who I have become. That means letting go of old identities, old habits, and even small pieces of life that no longer feel true. This episode is an invitation to redefine what balance looks like for you. To consider where you might be holding onto a version of yourself that has already shifted, and to explore what it would feel like to create more space in your days, your routines, and your inner world. This episode is for you if: You're ready to let go of hustling and are looking for more balance in your life You're ready to release old patterns and step into a new version of yourself You want to build a more intentional life and move more slowly You're feeling stuck and not sure how to move forward You're stepping into a new version of yourself and ready to embrace your new identity Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Download this FREE audio experience to invite more calm and peace into your life and reconnect with your inner wisdom Read this blog to learn how to find more clarity when you feel stuck Use these 3 tips to create more magic in your life Related Episodes:  Finding Light In A Heavy Season - Key Themes From The Tarot For The Month Ahead Inviting Magic Into The Everyday - How To Bring More Presence And Joy Into Your Day Returning Home To Yourself - An Invitation To Step Into Self-Trust And Return To What Feels Most True When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Finding Your Creative Shoreline - How I Use Authentic Expression To Drive My Creativity

In this episode, I'm continuing the reflection from last week and sharing what has unfolded as I sat with questions around visibility, creativity, and social media. I talk about a realization that came up for me while trying to grow my online presence. Discomfort is often part of growth, but not all discomfort leads us in the right direction. Sometimes we end up pushing ourselves toward things that feel misaligned simply because we believe they are what we are supposed to do. As I reflected on this, I began to notice that the pressure I felt around social media was pulling me away from the ways I naturally like to create and connect. For me, writing has always been the most authentic form of expression. While the act of writing feels natural, sharing that writing publicly still holds a vulnerable edge, and that is where the real growing edge seems to live. I also share a perspective that helped me reframe how I think about online spaces. Instead of imagining the internet as one large environment, I began to see social media as open water, while the quieter corners of the internet, personal writing, blogs, and intimate creative spaces feel more like the shoreline. This episode is an invitation to consider where your own energy feels most aligned. Growth does not always mean pushing harder into spaces that drain you. Sometimes it means returning to the places where your voice feels most natural and allowing your creativity to meet people there. This episode is for you if: You're feeling exhausted by social media and are ready to shift your perspective about online spaces You're ready to let go of what feels misaligned and allow yourself to do what feels most true You're in a phase of growth and are moving through the discomfort You're an artist or writer who feels compelled to freely express and share your work You're contemplating what it means to be visible and creative as it pertains to being a leader online Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Download this FREE audio experience to invite more calm and peace into your life and reconnect with your inner wisdom Read this blog for my favorite books to inspire a creative life Learn how to use a morning ritual to shift the energy of your day Related Episodes:  Living A Creative Life Offline And Online- Why Community And Authentic Connection Are A Core Part Of The Human Experience Choosing The Path That Feels True - How Grief Deepened My Connection To My Purpose The Season of Refinement - Letting Go Of Past Identities To Embrace What's Ahead When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Living a Creative Life Offline and Online - Why Community And Authentic Connection Are A Core Part Of The Human Experience

In this episode, I'm reflecting on two themes that have been on my mind lately: visibility and creativity. As someone building an online business and sharing creative work publicly, I've been exploring what it means to be visible as a leader while also noticing a growing desire for privacy and time away from social media. Platforms that once felt inspiring and creatively energizing now often feel draining or disconnected, and I've been questioning whether they still serve the purpose they once did. This reflection led me to think more deeply about creativity and what it really means to live a creative life. For me, creativity is less about productivity or performance and more about curiosity, expression, and allowing ideas to unfold naturally. Writing has become one of the primary ways I explore that process. At the same time, creativity often feels most meaningful when it is witnessed. There's something powerful about creating something that matters to you and having another person see it, acknowledge it, and connect with it. When those moments of authentic witnessing feel harder to find online, it can raise questions about where genuine creative communities live today. This episode is an open reflection on the evolving role of social media, the longing for authentic connection, and the search for spaces where creativity can still feel shared and alive. This episode is for you if: You're craving genuine authentic connections and want to build community You identify as an artist or creative and want permission to be more offline You're an online entrepreneur or business owner who craves more freedom and time offline You're stepping into a leadership position in your life and are ready to be more visible You feel disconnected and want to find your purpose Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Learn about my favorite books about creativity to jumpstart your creative practice Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Discover 3 simple things you can do to create more magic in your life Related Episodes:  The Stories That Carried Me Through - Letting Go of An Old Identity And Starting Anew Inviting Magic Into The Everyday - How To Bring More Presence And Joy Into Your Day Choosing Gratitude Over Guilt - Letting Go Of Effort To Make Space For Ease From Stillness Into Motion - Navigating Change With Balance –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Returning Home to Yourself - An Invitation To Step Into Self-Trust And Return To What Feels Most True

In this episode, I'm sharing a collective tarot reading for the month of March. I'm using a four card clarity spread and drawing from the Wild Unknown Tarot and Animal Spirit decks, which have been part of my practice since the beginning of my tarot journey. The overall theme for this month is the Turtle card, which feels grounding, wise, and deeply supportive. This energy invites us to return home to ourselves, to honor the path we have walked, and to trust the wisdom we have gathered along the way. As we move toward spring and the start of a new astrological cycle, there is a sense of renewal and beginning again. Everything you have experienced has shaped you for this moment. The supporting cards, the Ten of Pentacles and the Ten of Cups, speak to abundance, generosity, and fullness. They remind us that there is beauty in both giving and receiving, and that when we tend to our emotional world and our physical life with care, we create a sense of overflow rather than depletion. There is an invitation here to trust your role in your community and to recognize that simply being yourself is a form of service. The Star card anchors the reading with hope and optimism. It encourages us to look up, to soften our grip on certainty, and to allow ourselves to believe in renewal. Even after dark or uncertain seasons, light returns. There is richness in simple pleasures and in the foundational spaces where earth meets water. This month is an invitation to slow down just enough to reconnect with what matters most. Tend to your inner world. Care for your outer life. Trust that your story is meaningful and that your presence carries light, even when you cannot see the impact directly. This episode is for you if: You're interested in using Tarot as a self-reflective tool and anchor in your life You're currently navigating difficult times and need some hope and optimism in your life You're ready to become the most authentic and true version of yourself You're in the midst of a big life transition and ready for a new beginning You're ready to step into a deeper level of self-trust and self-belief Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Dive into tarot and discover my favorite tarot decks and what makes them great Use these prompts to jumpstart your tarot practice Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Related Episodes:  Leading Yourself With Compassion - Using Tarot As A Guide And A Tool For Self-Reflection  Finding Light In A Heavy Season - Key Themes From The Tarot For The Month Ahead Choosing The Path That Feels True - How Grief Deepened My Connection To My Purpose When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Connection in the Loudest Places - Exploring The Complexity Of Our Emotional Landscape While Grieving

In this episode, I'm sharing something deeply personal and a little unexpected. After taking a short break from the podcast, I reflect on a season that brought both grief and celebration, and how those two experiences intertwined in a way I never could have planned. I talk about returning to something that has long connected me to my dad, watching the Seattle Seahawks. What began years ago as a way to feel closer to him has grown into something entirely my own. This first football season without him was emotional and tender, yet it became filled with moments of joy, connection, and even celebration in ways that surprised me. Through this experience, I realized something important about myself. Sometimes the places where we feel most aligned, most intuitive, and most ourselves are not the places we would have expected. Spiritual connection and joy do not always look quiet or serene. Sometimes they show up in loud stadiums, in shared rituals, and in collective celebration. This episode is an invitation to let your life surprise you. The things that light you up might not fit into the story you once imagined for yourself. And that is more than okay. This episode is for you if: You're navigating a grief journey and want support with how to integrate your grief You're deepening your emotional landscape and experiencing the complexity of feeling multiple emotions at once You're interesting in exploring your intuitive gifts You want to bring more magic into your life and explore your spirituality You want to explore the idea of connecting to loved ones who've passed using signs Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet to find more clarity and purpose in your life Read this blog for tips on how invite more magic into your everyday and receive signs from the nonphysical Related Episodes:  Where Intuition Meets The In-Between - Using Tarot As A Tool For Self-Discovery Inviting Magic Into The Everyday - How To Bring More Presence And Joy Into Your Day Clarity Over Certainty - Integrating Grief And Moving Forward With Intention Without Needing To See The Entire Path When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Finding Light in a Heavy Season - Key Themes From The Tarot For The Month Ahead

In this episode, I'm offering something a little different and sharing a collective tarot reading for the month of February. This reading was inspired by my own need for grounding and clarity during a time when the energy has been feeling especially heavy, both personally and collectively. The overall theme invites us to notice small glimmers of light and inspiration, even when things feel dark or uncertain. I explore how creativity, expression, and moments of goodness can become anchors during challenging seasons. The supporting cards encourage us to zoom out, soften perfectionism, and approach our emotional landscape with curiosity rather than judgment. This episode also touches on the value of mentorship, learning, and allowing ourselves to go deeper with the guidance and tools that support us. This reading is an invitation to move gently, stay flexible, and trust that even discomfort can illuminate the path forward. When we allow ourselves to notice the light that already exists, we create space for hope, connection, and growth to emerge. This episode is for you if: You're curious about expanding your tarot practice and using it as a grounding force to create monthly themes You're feeling lost or stuck and want to return to a place of trust and flexibility You're in need of some self-compassion and want to let go of self-judgement You're looking for support as you navigate your emotional landscape and inner world You're going through a period of growth and could use a light as you navigate the darkness Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Learn about my favorite tarot decks and why I love them Discover how you best connect to your inner wisdom by taking this quiz Related Episodes:  Clarity Over Certainty - Integrating Grief And Moving Forward With Intention Without Needing To See The Entire Path Returning Home To Yourself - An Invitation To Step Into Self-Trust And Return To What Feels Most True  Inviting Magic Into The Everyday - How To Bring More Presence And Joy Into Your Day When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. When Flow Falters - How To Navigate Old Patterns When They Reappear

In this episode, I'm reflecting on what happens after we shift into action and the momentum begins to build. I talk about a familiar pattern that surfaces for me once I move out of stillness, when things feel slightly out of flow and old habits start to reappear. Rather than seeing this as a setback, I'm learning to understand it as part of the process. I explore what it looks like to balance action with rest while remaining in a season of movement. In the past, leaning fully into action often led me toward overgiving and burnout. This time, I'm being invited to slow down just enough to listen to my body, notice the signals it's sending, and respond with care instead of judgment. I also share how I'm redefining progress and success by showing up consistently, even when conditions are imperfect. This episode is about building something sustainable and learning to support yourself along the way, rather than pushing through at all costs. If you've been feeling out of flow or questioning your pace, this conversation is an invitation to meet yourself with curiosity, trust the timing of what's unfolding, and remember that refinement often happens in the quieter moments. This episode is for you if: You're feeling frustrated after a period of growth and momentum You're navigating old patterns that have resurfaced You're looking for balance after being an over-achiever who's experienced burnout You're in need of more self-compassion You're stuck in a loop of comparison and want to trust your own timeline and process Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet to help guide you on your journey Read this resource to help you find clarity in the unknown and learn 5 ways to get unstuck Discover how you best connect to your inner wisdom by taking this quiz Related Episodes:  Choosing Gratitude Over Guilt - Letting Go Of Effort To Make Space For Ease Leading Yourself With Compassion - Using Tarot As A Guide And A Tool For Self-Reflection Listening For What Wants To Emerge - Letting Go Of Old Timelines And Honoring Where You're At Right Now When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. From Stillness Into Motion - Navigating Change With Balance

In this episode, I'm sharing an update on what has been unfolding for me recently and reflecting on the shift from stillness into action. I explore an idea that has stayed with me for years, the concept of moving between two modes, resting and action, and how learning to recognize these rhythms has helped me understand myself more deeply. I talk about how the last few years, especially the past year, required deep slowness, rest, and open space. That season shaped my identity in ways I didn't fully realize at the time. Recently, I began to notice that the stillness was no longer nourishing me in the same way, and that lingering in thought without movement was becoming draining rather than supportive. I share how a conversation with my coach and a long dormant desire to complete my Pilates certification sparked a shift into action. This episode explores what it looks like to take aligned steps forward without attachment to outcome, and how momentum can build naturally when intention meets movement. This is an invitation to notice where you may be lingering too long in one mode, and to trust when it feels time to gently pivot. Stillness and action both have wisdom, and learning to move between them is part of honoring your own rhythm. This episode is for you if: You're shedding an old identity and stepping into your next version You're experiencing grief and the complexity of the experience You're trying to balance change and rest while learning your own unique rhythm You're ready to jump into action after a big life transition You're feeling stuck and not sure what's next for you Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Read this blog post to help you find clarity in the unknown Learn how to craft a morning ritual that shifts the energy of your day Related Episodes:  Rooting Into What's Next- Embracing A New Identity And New Life After Loss And Transition Trusting What's Beneath The Surface: Let Your Inner Wisdom Guide You And Allow Your Creative Potential To Shine Through Beginning The Year In My Own Time - Exploring The Many Invitations To Begin Again When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Listening for What Wants to Emerge - Letting Go Of Timelines And Honoring Where You're At Right Now

In this episode, I'm spending time with the quieter signals that surface when we slow down enough to notice them. I reflect on what it feels like to sit with uncertainty, to resist the urge to rush toward clarity, and to allow understanding to unfold in its own time. This season has been inviting me to pay closer attention to what is asking to be felt rather than fixed. I share how presence, reflection, and gentleness have become important tools for navigating this in between space. There is a kind of wisdom that emerges when we stop pushing for answers and instead listen for what is forming beneath the surface. This episode explores the value of patience, self-trust, and letting meaning reveal itself slowly. This conversation is an invitation to soften your pace, honor what you are carrying, and remember that clarity does not always arrive through effort. Sometimes it arrives through stillness, curiosity, and allowing yourself to be exactly where you are. This episode is for you if: You're in a life transition and want to build a deeper sense of self-trust You're ready to soften and slow down, but are unsure of how that will help you reach your next version You're an over-achiever who's experienced burnout and is looking for a softer, quieter way to live You're ready to let go of effort and hustle in pursuit of a more aligned, quieter lifestyle You're sitting with uncertainty and need support quieting your thoughts Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Read this blog post to help you find clarity in the unknown and learn 5 ways to get unstuck Discover which season of transformation you're in by taking this quiz Related Episodes:  Clarity Over Certainty - Integrating Grief And Moving Forward With Intention Without Needing To See The Entire Path Trusting What's Beneath The Surface: Let Your Inner Wisdom Guide You And Allow Your Creative Potential To Shine Through Choosing The Path That Feels True - How Grief Deepened My Connection To My Purpose When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Beginning the Year in My Own Time - Exploring The Many Invitations To Begin Again

In this first episode of 2026, I'm reflecting on the new year and why the usual rush of goal setting and reinvention may not resonate right now. I talk about winter as a season of slowing down, turning inward, and honoring the quieter rhythms that often get overlooked when the calendar flips.  I share how I personally relate to beginnings and why my birthday and other seasonal markers feel more aligned for fresh starts than January first. This episode explores the idea that there are many ways to begin again, and that it is okay to move slowly, check in with yourself, and choose what truly feels supportive.  I also reflect on what I'm carrying forward this year, including a deeper commitment to authenticity, writing, and sharing from a place of genuine excitement rather than performance. I talk about my desire to prioritize creativity, build nourishing routines, and create supportive spaces for connection, including a new writing circle. This episode is an invitation to soften into the start of the year, to release pressure, and to trust your own timing as you move toward what feels true for you. This episode is for you if: You're ready to move forward on your own timeline and trust your own personal process You're someone who doesn't resonate with the start of the calendar year and want to honor your own unique rhythm You want to prioritize creativity and play You're letting go of perfectionism and performance to step into a more authentic version of yourself You're ready to begin again after a big life transition Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Read this blog to learn how to shift the energy of your day Invite more magic into your life using these tools Discover how you best connect to your inner wisdom by taking this quiz Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Related Episodes:  Rooting Into What's Next- Embracing A New Identity And New Life After Loss And Transition Letting It Be For You: Learning To Live In The Unknown With Self-Compassion Trusting What's Beneath The Surface: Let Your Inner Wisdom Guide You And Allow Your Creative Potential To Shine Through When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. The Stories That Carried Me Through - Letting Go Of An Old Identity And Starting Anew

In this final episode of 2025, I'm taking a moment to pause, reflect, and gently close out a year that asked so much of me. I talk about how this season has been shaped by grief, change, and the slow shedding of an old identity, and how I am beginning to look toward the future with more clarity and softness.  I share a collection of five short personal essays written during 2024, each capturing a different moment of healing, uncertainty, and self-discovery. These pieces explore what it means to slow down, to sit with vulnerability, to release the need for certainty, and to honor the quieter truths that surface when we stop performing for the world.  This episode is an invitation to reflect on the stories that shaped you this year and to notice what feels ready to be released as you move forward. Sometimes closing a chapter looks like listening, remembering, and allowing yourself to carry only what still feels true. Choosing Depth Over Hustle - A Reflection On Grief, Identity, And The Quiet Work Of Becoming

In this episode, I'm checking in and sharing honestly about a season that has been feeling heavy. I talk about what it has been like to move through grief that does not always have a clear trigger, and how sensitivity can feel both like a gift and a challenge. As the days grow darker and quieter, I reflect on the tension between wanting to feel less and realizing that feeling deeply is part of what makes life meaningful to me.  I share what recent experiences with numbness taught me about my relationship to emotion and presence, and why I am learning to honor the need for rest, slowness, and care during periods of deep inner change. This season has invited me to release old patterns around achievement, productivity, and proving my worth, and to trust that who I am is already enough.  This episode is a reflection on grief, identity, and the quiet work of becoming. It is an invitation to honor your feelings, notice the subtle ways you are moving forward, and allow yourself to live more deeply rather than more quickly. Choosing the Path That Feels True - How Grief Deepened My Connection To My Purpose

In this episode, I'm sharing something that feels especially tender. I talk about how this season of transition and grief helped clarify what I truly feel called to do next. After years of exploring different paths following the closure of my jewelry business, I found myself returning to a deeper desire to share my voice and tell stories.  I open up about my journey into writing fiction and what it has been like to work on my first novel. I share how the characters found me, why the process has felt both scary and meaningful, and how learning to show up without knowing the outcome has become part of the work.  This episode is an invitation to name what you truly want, even when it feels vulnerable to do so. Sometimes the next chapter asks us to step into the unknown and trust that the path will meet us there. This episode is for you if: You're going through a big life transition and haven't found clarity around what's next for you You're on a grief journey and want to harness the power of this unique season You're a writer looking for permission to follow your passion You're ready to declare what you really want from life and build your dream future You want to share your voice with the world and are feeling called to step into a leadership role Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Read my story about finding clarity after experiencing loss Discover what season of transformation you're in by taking this quiz Related Episodes:  The Season of Refinement - Letting Go Of Past Identities To Embrace What's Ahead Trusting What's Beneath The Surface: Let Your Inner Wisdom Guide You And Allow Your Creative Potential To Shine Through Connection In The Loudest Places - Exploring The Complexity Of Our Emotional Landscape While Grieving When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. Inviting Magic Into the Everyday - How To Bring More Presence And Joy Into Your Day

In this episode, I'm exploring what it means to bring more magic and meaning into everyday life. I talk about the familiar phrase everything happens for a reason and how my relationship with that idea has shifted over the years. Rather than looking for the perfect belief system, I am learning that meaning often comes from our natural desire to understand our lives and to connect with something greater than ourselves. I share how returning to simple moments of presence, especially on walks with my dog, has helped me tap back into a sense of curiosity and enchantment. Nature has become a place where I soothe my nervous system, notice patterns, and allow myself to feel a little more wonder. Whether I am paying attention to a flower, a bird, or a repeating number, these small encounters help me slow down and trust the path I'm on. This episode is an invitation to notice where magic already lives in your world and to consider how you might welcome more of it in. Meaning does not need to be grand or certain. Where Intuition Meets the In-Between - Using Tarot As a Tool For Self-Discovery

In this episode, I'm sharing the story of how tarot became a meaningful part of my life and why I've recently felt myself reconnecting with it in a deeper way. I talk about my first experience with the cards in 2017 and how seen I felt when a simple spread reflected back everything I had been carrying. It became the beginning of a practice that helped me slow down, listen inward, and trust what I was feeling. I also revisit the early days of learning the cards through journaling and small daily pulls, and how reading for friends and strangers slowly opened a new sense of purpose for me. Over time, I began to notice how often people came to me during seasons of transition and uncertainty, and how tarot created a gentle starting point for connection. In this episode, I reflect on the joy of recent readings, the trust I'm building with myself, and the way tarot continues to support my intuition and my work. My hope is that this conversation encourages you to explore the tools that help you feel grounded and guided, especially when you are moving through an in-between season. This episode is for you if: You're in a season of building self-trust and are curious how tarot can support you You're looking for inspiration for your personal tarot practice and curious about reading for others You're going through a big life transition and want tools to feel grounded You want to connect with your intuition on a deeper level You're moving through an in-between season of life and looking for clarity about what's next for you Resources and Links:  Explore The Shoreline Private Sessions to clarify where you're heading next  Sign up to receive notes from the Shoreline Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet Explore my favorite tarot decks and why I love them Discover how you best connect to your inner wisdom by taking this quiz Use the prompts from this course to jumpstart your tarot journey Related Episodes:  Leading Yourself With Compassion - Using Tarot As A Guide And A Tool For Self-Reflection Returning Home To Yourself - An Invitation To Step Into Self-Trust And Return To What Feels Most True Stepping Into Your Intuitive Gifts Embracing LIfe As An Artist And Creative Soul When Life Pulls You Toward A New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition –– ✦ Kim Kogane is a writer and intuitive guide helping you navigate the tender in-between seasons of life. When Life Pulls You Toward a New Shore - Beginning Again And Exploring The In-Between Space After An Unexpected Life Transition

I'm so grateful to share this space with you and to talk about how this new chapter began. In this episode, I'm reflecting on the unexpected turns that shaped the start of my year. A simple day trip reminded me how much I loved my life, and only a week later, I received a letter telling me I had to leave the home that had become my sanctuary. I talk about what it felt like to be pushed into an in-between season and how losing my dad shortly after changed the ground beneath me. It was a time that asked me to soften, to grieve, and to trust the quiet pull toward what was coming next, even when nothing felt steady. I also share how The Shoreline grew out of this tender space and why these transitions have become such an important part of my work. My hope is that this episode helps you feel less alone in whatever you are moving through and reminds you that your next becoming is already forming gently within you. This episode is for you if: You're in a period of transition and feeling lost without direction You've recently let go of an old identity and are ready to figure out what's next You're in a season of grief and trying to cope You're feeling lonely or completely alone and want support Resources and Links:  Connect to your north star using my FREE Intention Setting Worksheet. TKKS 9 - Embracing chaos and what I learned being alone at the top of a mountain

I'm sharing some updates on my dreamy early morning routine, and then I dive into what happened when I went on my first solo overnight backpacking trip. Well, I wasn't completely alone because I brought Cauchy with me but I didn't see another human out on the trail. I talk about a "cheetah in still mode" versus a "cheetah in action mode" and my plans for the rest of the month. If you find yourself in transition and are ready to soften and allow instead of controlling and taking action, then this is right up your alley!

I recorded this episode while Mercury was in retrograde and am using this opportunity to reflect on what's been working for me in my life and what I can release. TKKS 3 - The universe doesn't care whether you eat a cheeseburger or a salad

I'm podcasting from a very special location today! You'll have to listen to find out exactly where I am. I share what I'm doing, how it flowed for me to travel, and my thoughts on the mind's judgment. My favorite line from this episode is when I say "the universe doesn't care whether you eat a cheeseburger or salad." Which is so true! There are no right or wrong choices, simply infinite possibilities of how we get to experience our lives. If you're feeling stuck in your mind's judgment and th...

TKKS 2 - Exploring the feeling of "aloneness"

In this episode, I share what's been on my mind lately which is the feeling of being alone. It's something that I've carried with me since I was young. I talk about fate versus free will and explore the idea that maybe what we're feeling is intentional and points us towards something we need to call in. There are a lot of things outside of our control in the world, but we get to choose our thoughts and how we view the world around us.  I encourage you to give this episode a listen if you're feeling the pull to dive deeper and confront your own feelings that might be guiding you towards something important.

TFE 20 - Floating with Beth: Demystifying the visualization process and tips on how you can find your purpose

Today I talk to Beth Hewitt of Visualise You. Beth defines herself as a spiritual performance coach, using visualization techniques to help people to find their calling and to realize their soul's purpose. She used to work in the corporate world but didn't find satisfaction in her 9 to 5 life, and eventually she drew on her past experiences to launch her own business, marrying intuition and spirituality with wisdom from her corporate background.
