How many dads have had a terrible time when trying to fight for custody of your kid(s)? Have you ever thought that it was impossible to achieve? What about YOU being awarded child support? This legal system that so many parents have to go through - as an alternative to coming to a mutual agreement 'outside of the system' - is not the best option. Every situation is different, and there's hope. Listen to Jason Pickel, a father of 2 girls at the time of his first marriage, divorce and co-parenting trials. His perspective and experience is very interesting as he has been in law enforcement for 18 years and he also doesn't agree with the legal system that parents have to be involved in when it comes to custodial disputes. "Single parent situations drive poverty and often lead to unsupervised kids. Many boys growing up without fathers often feel angry and abandoned. Thus, they seek comfort in all the wrong places." - Bill O'Reilly This is the quote that inspired this message today. This destructive cycle continues to this day. When is enough, enough? When will they do their part to break the cycle? Boys/males/men have feelings too and have emotions that need to be expresses and released. When they are abandoned, they are left to figure life out on their own which is a job that no little boy should ever have to deal with. They gravitate to all the wrong things, influences, influencers, outlets, etc.    This often then spills over to their adult life where they start involving other people. Now begins the whole cycle of damaging their relationships - with females, with their kids, etc... a life of destruction.   My heart goes out to these males because they weren't given a proper start at a more stable and grounded life.   However, at some point, the choice is theirs for them to choose to have different behavior. Once an adult, a person has to start doing better... Start choosing better. Yes, it may be hard. There usually is an inner struggle because most don't know what love means or what it looks like.   Listen to the entire video as I also explain what US females must do to provide a safe space for males to release and talk and be vulnerable!   Just know it is okay to seek help. As a single parent, it can be so easy to just give up and walk away from your responsibilities. Unfortunately, a lot of people do, but you have chosen not to. You have chosen to stay in there even while having to parent by yourself. What's your reason... what's your WHY? S2E3

What if your parents didn't communicate well and you, now as an adult, also don't communicate well? What is your family saved money and planned financially, did you also take on those same skills as an adult? Of course, there are some exceptions to the rules, however, there are so many other examples and situations that confirm these statements. As parents, we have to be mindful and careful of EVERY SINGLE THING we do, HOW we do it, how we SAY it because it's molding our children to become that same way. Whether in a relationship or an actual marriage, we don't take the necessary time to get to know the other person. We tend to move too fast. This is often one of the first steps of why things go downhill. No, there's no 'one size fits all' timeframe of getting to know someone, and it's super important to simply do our due diligence.
