    "Coffee Talk" (S2E5)

In this final episode of Season Two, I had a looooong conversation with entrepreneur and coffee maven Sarah Barnett Gill, also known as Mama Mocha.  She has been a friend of mine for longer than I can remember, and I have watched her build a small coffee empire, guided by her principles of excellence, determination, and love.  Come for the laughs and southern wit, stay for the inspirational nuggets.

    "Designing Woman" (S2E4)

Is your friend a molecular biologist AND a knitwear designer?  Well, mine is!  I got to chat with Nikki Reeves, a multi-talented maker with a bent for science.  We talk about plants, candles, and a whole bunch of other stuff... I'm getting excited just typing this!

  3. 10

"Vision Board Out Of My Mind" (S2E3)

This episode features multi-talented Bri Ryder, a singer, actress, cosplayer, video editor, and self-proclaimed person who is "kinda good at a lot of stuff".  We talk vision boards, performing arts woes in a post-COVID world, and overcoming struggles of defining what it means to be an artist in the modern world.  Oh yeah, and forehead reduction.

  4. 9

    "I Get The Picture" PART 2 (S2E2)

Brooklyn-based photographer Joe Shepherd is back (he actually never left), and we dig deeper into the psyche of a creative person living in an untruthful world.  We talk about nuggets of wisdom from jazz legends, tricky friend situations, and some more practical tips for taking better photos.

  5. 8

    "I Get The Picture" PART 1 (S2E1)

Brooklyn-based photographer Joe Shepherd pops by for an in-depth discussion about "imposter syndrome", "gate-keeping", and the struggles of starting out as a photographer in a visually-saturated world.  In this two-part episode, we also talk tacos, ballet mishaps, and tips for taking a more interesting photo. If you have a question for Joe (or me), send a voice memo to SociallyDistantCraftClub @ gmail.com.  Be sure to include your first name and where you're calling from... because who knows, you may end up on the podcast!

    "2020 Vision" (S1E7) FINALE

It's our SEASON FINALE!  We did it!  One whole season of crafty goodness behind us, and right before the new year!  I decided the best way to charge boldly forward was to look back at this past year, and focus on all the ways we grew as a community of incredible makers.  There are over a DOZEN guests on this season finale, and I can't wait for you to hear from them! If you haven't already, be sure to leave a review of this podcast (ideally a positive one).  Podcasts with higher reviews get more visibility, so that would help me out a whole bunch. Thanks y'all!  See you in SEASON 2!  :)

  7. 6

"Do You Hear What I Hear?" (S1E6)

It's almost Christmastime, so we sat down with songwriter/music director/playwright Eric Traynor and talked about our most loved (and most HATED) Christmas songs.  We also have some surprise cameo guests sharing their most loved and most loathed... it's a good time!

  8. 5

    "Jello Molds and Decoupage" (S1E5)

In this episode we go on location (socially distanced, of course) to chat with an art director and designer in her natural habitat: a tapas bar.  Joyce Lai and I chat about every kind of art under the sun... and perhaps have one too many Spanish vermouths.

  9. 4

"The Twisting Sister from Another Mister" PART 2 (S1E4)

In the second part of this two-part episode, we continue our chat with balloon artist Rachel Baker of "The Twisting Sister" (www.TheTwistingSister.com).  We dig deep into her creative process and how she uses her craft to fight anxiety and depression.  We even do a little math, which proves to be embarrassingly difficult.  All this and more can be yours one the latest episode of the Socially Distant Craft Club!

  10. 3

    "You're Puttin' Me On" (S1E2)

Halloween's just around the corner, and The Socially Distant Craft Club is buzzing with talk of costumes!  I sit down with Michael Ahlschwede, IT guru by day and cosplay master by night!  We dig into his childhood Halloween costumes, his process for making costumes, and what it's like to attend Dragoncon, one of the biggest comic/fantasy conventions in the world!  Take that wig off the shelf and get ready for episode two of The Socially Distant Craft Club Podcast!

  11. 2

    "The Mother Of Invention" (S1E1)

What is The Socially Distant Craft Club, and how did it get started?  Our very first episode aims to tell that story.  We are also joined by our special guest Katri, a visual artist and musician who splits her time between Hamburg, Germany and Brooklyn, New York.  So pull up a chair, grab a project to work on, and enjoy the very first episode of the Socially Distant Craft Club Podcast!
