    Lois Anderson is the Executive Director of Oregon Right to Life, which followed her 17-year career as the organization's political director. Lois is known for being highly principled, as well as a pragmatic leader. Her work to champion life in Oregon has been nationally-recognized, and will never stop. Her work with Sen. Starr goes all the way back to their college days at PSU.

    Rep. Lucetta Elmer represents Oregon House District 24, which is most of Yamhill County and portions of Polk. She is a small business owner who has lived in her district throughout her life. Rep. Elmer is most passionate about improving Oregon's small business climate and raising our quality of education.

    Brooke is the Operations Director for Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK), which keeps her very busy. She flew black to Oregon to visit her parents for Easter.     Ben Stange is the Fire Chief for Polk County Fire District 1. He is also the current President of the Special Districts Association of Oregon. His story and leadership is like so many others serving in local districts throughout Oregon.

    4. Kirsten Adams, Larry Gescher, and Mike Salsgiver

    An in-depth conversation about what will drive up public construction costs by over 20% in Oregon: Mandated project labor agreements. Three guests from Associated General Contractors joined the conversation. Kirsten Adams is a lobbyist and attorney for AGC, Larry Gescher is a well-respected contractor, and Mike Salsgiver is the CEO of AGC. The subject of PLA's is important because of their high cost on taxpayers without much upside for labor.

    Dave Brown is a former coach and 20-year Newberg High School staff member. He is highly respected in the community of Newberg. Several years ago Dave was asked to serve on the Newberg School District Board, and became its Chairman. He placed a major emphasis on reforms to increase student performance back toward core subjects like math and reading, rather than social and cultural programming. This raised stiff opposition from Portland-based special interest groups and their allies such as the OEA. Dave was targeted by heavily-financed groups and eventually lost reelection, but remains an advocate for improved classrooms and student achievement.

    1. Wes Butler

    Wes is a longtime homeschool advocate in Oregon who achieved success working with Sen. Starr in the late 90's on the Homeschool Freedom Act. Much of the success that homeschool children - statistically higher performing than other K-12 students - can be credited to freedoms enjoyed from that legislation.Wes Butler continues to advocate for homeschool families through the OCEAN network.
