SPX15 ISO, aperture, and shutter speed, OH MY!

Hello, STEMPunX!  Thom Harrop is back with tips on how to take better photos with your phone and just what the heck all those setting on the fancy cameras are all about.  We also learn a little about a special video format called S-LOG.  We'll be using that for our next video episode.  This is short, packed with info, and features our camera corespondent. What's not to love? The short format is first this month because we are already elbows deep in the ingredients for "The Science of Cooking" video coming out on the 20th.  Show Notes:ISO: A setting to determine how sensitive the camera is to light.  A higher number makes it more sensitive but can produce noise artifacts.Shutter Speed: Interprets motion in the frame. Slow shutter speed allows the motion to blur.Aperture: Determines what is in focus in front of and behind your subject.  A lower number blurs things around your subject and a high number gets more of the image in focus.Slog2 and Slog3: Contrast curves that allow a wide range of data to be captured, but require adjustments to the image in post production.Phone photography tips:Stabilize your phoneUse a selfie stick, preferably with a small tripod attached AND Bluetooth.Add a good lens that clips to your phone, for wide and macro shots especially. Don't go to cheap though. Aprox. cost $40 per set. Thom Harrop's Website: Learn by Doing — Photographyhttps://www.lbdphoto.com  Join the STEMPunX team for as little as a dollar a month.
