42. Mr. Jelly and the Pirates of Panic
Welcome back to Storytime with Lucky Podcast. Today we read "Mr. Jelly" by Roger Hargreaves, about a very nervous man who trembles at the slightest thing. Mr. Jelly goes on holiday, drifts out to sea in a dinghy, and is washed ashore on a tiny island where three pirates find him and make him their cabin boy. His continual shrieks and fainting make the pirates themselves anxious, and by the end of the week the whole crew is too scared to act. They sail him back to the beach, where he finds Mr. Lazy asleep and, for once, ends up not frightened but very cross.
