The Torture Trial of George W. Bush

Federal prosecutor, Timothy Madegen’s attempt to prosecute President George W. Bush for authorizing torture is rejected by his Justice Department superiors. He convinces a federal judge to call for a special grand jury to consider the evidence and assembles a prosecution team drawn from Harvard Law School graduates. The grand jury issues a presentment, charging Bush, his cabinet members and government attorneys. When Bush goes to trial, the prosecution team is threatened and attacked in the press. The jurors learn the gruesome truth about enhanced Interrogation Techniques, the laws violated by the Bush administration, and the danger for future torture if Bush is not prosecuted. Both sides of the case are presented. The Jury argues over the evidence.
