Principles - The Starting Point, Management's Burden, and the Record

This episode kicks off a series on general maxims regarding how we view grievances in the NALC. Most importantly, this episode elaborates on things that are commonly agreed upon in the grievance/arbitration procedure.

Not in the Case File? Doesn't Exist.

This podcast episode incorporates the National Agreement language with the maxim, "quod non est in actis non est in mundo." Literally, it means that what is not in the case file does not exist in the world. That is for the purposes of adjudicating issues in the legal world. Keeping this concept in mind, it helps to always ask ourselves, as stewards, whether we are showing what we are arguing, and whether we are arguing what we are showing. Enjoy!

    Some Informal Logical Fallacies

This is another of my introductory episodes laying the ground work for good reasoning for stewards, and hopefully something can be gained by all who listen for their every-day life.

    Introduction and Who I Am

Steward Guzman introduces himself and goes over the PS Form 8190.
