The Unnamed, Mostly-Chicago Race Review Podcast

Erica and Fuzzy finally get around to talking about a race they ran two weeks ago--the Soldier Field 10 Mile.

It's another "talking in the car on the way back from the race" podcast, with Fuzzy and Erica and our special guest Zach Freeman. We all ran the inaugural Super Sunny 5K in Burbank, IL, a benefit for Garden Center Services.

We have our full complement of runners, Erica, Kristen, Shaun, and Fuzzy, AND special guest Claire Zulkey, riding in a car and reviewing the nighttime novelty run, the Rave Run 5K.

Fuzzy and Erica ran the Shamrock Shuffle 8K--popularly considered the start of Chicago's outdoor running season.

Fuzzy ran his first successful marathon in New Orleans at the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon. Erica came along for support (and public drinking).

This is the third of three podcasts we recorded that day, recorded just after we finished the last race: the Channahon Park District's Frosty 5 Mile, held in Channahon, Illinois.

This is the second of three podcasts we recorded that day, recorded just after we finished the second race: the Muddy Monk's Frozen Five, held in Poplar Creek Forest Preserve, Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The race was a 5.3 mile trail run (the course was lengthened because the original 5 mile route was determined to be unsafe from the weather).

Shaun and Fuzzy made the journey all the way to Istanbul, Turkey to run a 15K with our friend Matt during the Istanbul Marathon.

Erica and Fuzzy ran the Carrera de los Muertos (the Race of the Dead) in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago.

Erica, Fuzzy, and Shaun and eight other of our friends joined us to run or walk the Get Your Rear in Gear 5K, a fundraiser for the Colon Cancer Coalition.

Erica and Fuzzy ran the Run for Science 5K in Lincoln Park, a small race to benefit the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.

Erica, Shaun, Fuzzy, and special guest Kristen ran the inaugural Crypt 5K, a nighttime run through the grounds of the Rosehill Cemetery on Chicago's Northside.

Erica and Fuzzy ran the Bucktown 5K, a RAM Racing event billed as "Chicago's neighborhood run".

Erica, Shaun, and Fuzzy ran the Hell Run mud run, mainly to see Coolio at the after-race party.

Erica ran her first International-distance Triathlon at the Chicago Triathlon. Shaun and Fuzzy did the Triple Challenge--running all three distances of the triathlon during the weekend. This is an extra-long episode of the podcast, but we're talking about a bunch of races.

Erica and Fuzzy ran the inaugural edition of the Chicago 10K.

Erica, Shaun, and Fuzzy all ran the Terrapin 5K, a Grateful Dead-themed race and music festival just outside Soldier Field. Shaun had to go home right after the race, so he's not on the podcast.

Erica, Shaun, and Fuzzy all did the Sprint-distance at the South Shore Triathlon, a RAM Racing event on the South Side of Chicago.
