The War Business Podcast

Welcome to The War Business Podcast; hosted by Matthew Brunnemann, the author, Brendan Clark, the baron of aerospace, and Dakota Maynard, the Appalachian War Wizard. War is a business, some would even call it, “a racket.” Every modern war and every business has a carefully crafted marketing image; The War Business Podcast breaches that veil so you can hear the real stories of the average Americans who fight our wars and drive the war industry forward. Our mission is to tell the stories of conventional warriors, let captains of the war industry share their endeavors, and inform the listeners of current global conflicts. All three hosts served in the United States Marine Corps and hold well-informed perspectives of war and war business. warbusinesspodcast.substack.com

Episode 13: Matthew Dyba - Veteran Interview

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a very special boy, I mean very special guest for you today. How can I describe this guy? First, he is the reason why I am not fishing today. He is the descendent of a Nordic King, King Farehair, so some could say the guest is a Nordic Princess. He is a man among men and a Marine that I wrote extensively about in War Business. The greatest compliment that I could give him is to accurately describe him as Average at Best. Ladies, Gents, CIA Handlers and BigFoot, today’s guest is Matthew Dyba. This is a public episode. Episode 11: John Intsum - Mapping the Battle

Welcome to this episode of The War Business Podcast. You are all in for a special treat with today’s guest. The guest reached out to me (Matt) a few months ago when my book finally hit the market. For those of you who read it, you might remember that I mentioned a reoccurring phantom Kandahar deployment. Part of my company was going to break off and reinforce a U.S. Army unit that was in the fight for their lives in a valley that somewhat split Helmand and Kandahar provinces. Well, our guest was one of the U.S. soldiers in that valley of death. This marks our first guest who is not a Marine, so all you Army fellas out there can finally get some love. Brendan and I will have to go to confession for this, but we are going to allow it. Lastly, being that our guest is a member of the intelligence community, we are keeping his identity concealed and we will refer to him as John. Episode 7: Tony Klein

Tony “Sea Bass” Klein was a Sergeant of Marines and an 0231 Intelligence Specialist. Most veterans were lucky if they got to go to war once. Maybe to Iraq or Afghanistan. Sergeant Klein is one of the very few Marines to have ever deployed to three different theaters in one enlistment. First he went to Iraq and then on a MEU. Tony was preparing to leave the Marine Corps when he was requested by name to be a combat reinforcement in Afghanistan for RCT-1. Check out his episode and listen to his service; you just might find out how you can get from California to Afghanistan without a plane ticket… This is a public episode.
