The You Good? Podcast
by Chris C-Rod Rodriguez
The You Good? Podcast is a no-filter, all-vibes podcast where two longtime friends dive into everything from mental health and getting older to wild college stories, sports debates, pop culture hot takes, and hilarious interviews. Some episodes are deep, some are dumb, all are real. Whether we’re reflecting on life or roasting each other over fantasy football, it's always authentic. This is the group chat you didn’t know you needed — raw, funny, nostalgic, and relatable as hell.

Ep. 58 - "Inclusive Until You Disagree"
Episode 58 starts with C-Rod coming in hot about Backstreet Boys, boneless wings, and a parenting moment that went wrong fast. But the main conversation centers on what happens when a space claims to be open, supportive and inclusive, until someone does not answer a question the “right” way.C-Rod and Nick talk about a real situation where a guest was blindsided with a political question at the end of a podcast, then had their episode pulled after they did not feel comfortable answering on the spot. That opens up a bigger conversation about performative inclusivity, gotcha questions, control, pressure, and whether some people are actually creating room for different voices or only making space for people who already agree with them. From there, the conversation moves into questions that do not have clean answers: death, what happens after life, why some questions feel too big for quick takes, what social media forces into our feeds, drowning fears, whether some people can actually float, and why private beach signs on public beaches feel so ridiculous. It is part rant, part reflection, part comedy, and part reminder that real conversations should be able to survive discomfort.

Ep. 57 - "The Lost Episode"
This was not the episode we planned to release. In Episode 57, C-Rod and Nick break down what happened when the original episode with Preston disappeared after recording in Chattanooga. Preston was supposed to return to the podcast after 51 episodes, but after Edward Forty Hands, moonshine, a rough next morning and a video file that never processed, the episode became something else entirely. They also get into THC inhalers, airplane drama, New York food, travel problems for big guys, the 999 challenge, Big Brother live feeds, The Truman Show, fantasy sports fatigue and why consistency still matters.Sometimes the episode you planned disappears. Sometimes the backup episode tells the better story.

Ep. 56 - “Heroes, Villains, and Everything Between”
In Episode 56, C-Rod and Nick expand on a conversation from a few weeks ago about talent, character and public perception. This time, the conversation moves beyond athletes and into history, religion, media, America and the stories we inherit. After July 4th, C-Rod starts thinking about why even American pride feels divided now, and how hard it has become for people to talk about the country without immediately choosing sides. From there, the episode moves into founding fathers, history books, propaganda, church, money, philosophy, debt, modern comfort, overpopulation, neighborhood connection and the small ways people can start rebuilding community. It is part serious reflection, part uncomfortable debate and part classic You Good? derailment. The question at the center of the episode is simple, but not easy: Who gets to be good?

Ep. 55 - "Schfifty-Five" feat. Corey Bridwell
In Episode 55, C-Rod and Nick are joined by Corey Bridwell for a guest episode built around old nicknames, high school stories, Chipa Pizza, Liquid Cellar, restaurant life and the long road from being young and reckless to becoming a husband, father and head chef. The conversation starts with Corey realizing he still has Nick saved in his phone as “Nipples,” then moves through comic books, animation art, Whatnot rabbit holes, graduation parties, old Orlando bar stories, working in kitchens, learning from rejection, passion in hospitality and what it means when your name is on the door.Corey also opens up about family, mental health, home ownership, using anime and comics as an outlet, and the lessons he had to learn about accountability, excuses and how to treat people when they make mistakes.Growing up does not mean losing who you were. Sometimes it means learning which parts to keep, which parts to 86 and which parts still deserve to be the house special.

Ep. 54 - "Talent Is Not Character"
In Episode 54, C-Rod and Nick examine why athletes, entertainers and other public figures are often given more forgiveness than everyone else when their behavior crosses the line. The conversation starts with a recent airport incident involving a retired fighter and opens into a much larger discussion about alcohol, addiction, mental health, celebrity worship and accountability. When does “I was drunk” provide context, and when does it become an excuse? How many times can the same behavior be called a mistake before it reveals someone’s character? And why do leagues, organizations and fans keep protecting people who continue to generate money?Nick also reflects on his own decision to stop drinking, what changed when alcohol was removed from his life and the difference between supporting someone and enabling them.Struggle deserves compassion, but compassion does not have to erase consequences.

Ep. 53 - "Why Were We Allowed To Do That?"
Episode 53 of The You Good? Podcast asks a simple question: why were we allowed to do that?C-Rod and Nick look back at childhood memories that feel completely normal to anyone who grew up in the 80s, 90s, or early 2000s, but sound insane now as adults and parents. They talk about disappearing outside for hours, riding bikes with no helmets, drinking from hoses, building forts in the woods, playing dangerous games, growing up before constant technology, and the strange balance of wanting your kids to have freedom while also being terrified of everything that could go wrong. This episode is chaotic, funny, nostalgic, and very off the rails, but underneath it all is a real conversation about childhood freedom, parenting anxiety, and whether kids today are missing something we were lucky to have.

Ep. 52 - "The Butterfly Effect"
Episode 52 of The You Good? Podcast marks one full year of weekly episodes. But instead of doing a standard recap, C-Rod and Nick use the milestone to talk about The Butterfly Effect: the small choices, random people, unexpected opportunities, and tiny decisions that quietly change the direction of your life. From choosing a college by accident, taking a pay cut that changed a career, saying yes to trips, missing moments with family, starting the podcast, and learning not to wait for the perfect time, this episode is about looking back and realizing how much of life is shaped by decisions that didn’t feel important at the time. One year. Fifty two episodes. No missed weeks.Thank you for listening.

Ep. 50 -"The Big Daddy Alpha Supervisor" feat. Big Oja
Episode 50 of The You Good? Podcast brings back Big Oja for the show’s first true sequel episode. The last time Oja joined us, we talked about depression, grief, parenting, and the internet persona he was building through rage bait, construction jokes, and unfiltered comedy. Since then, that persona has exploded into millions of views, viral wrestling moments, WrestleCon stories, indie wrestling connections, band meetups, and real-life opportunities he never expected. In “The Big Daddy Alpha Supervisor,” C-Rod, Nick, and Oja talk about what happens when the joke becomes real. From Matt Riddle and Big Vito to Shinedown, August Burns Red, hate comments, loyal followers, mental health, fatherhood, and the dream of becoming a wrestling manager, this episode is chaotic, hilarious, and surprisingly honest.

Ep. 42 - "You Don’t Get That Time Back"
Welcome back to the You Good? Podcast! Episode 42 starts with something simple on the surface, why we keep things we don’t use, why we save stuff, and when holding on turns into something heavier, but the more Nick and I sat in it, the more it opened into a conversation about time, regret, growing older, and how often people assume they’ll do the important things later. We talked about clutter, sentiment, travel, money, the speed of life, and the realization that what matters most usually isn’t the stuff you own but the people you have and the time you actually use while you still have it. Now streaming on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music & iHeart Radio.

Ep. 41 — “6 Hours, 90 Seconds, One Pick"
Welcome back to the You Good? Podcast! Episode 41 — 6 Hours, 90 Seconds, One Pick wasn’t the episode we originally planned, but it ended up being one that felt just as real as anything we’ve done. After running into technical issues with a recorded guest episode, Nick and I pivoted into something that actually mirrors real life more than expected — our fantasy baseball draft. What sounds simple is actually six hours of pressure, constant decisions, and trying to stay locked in with only 90 seconds to make picks that impact an entire season, and the more we talked through it, the more it reflected how life works when things don’t go as planned and you have to adjust in real time. This episode is about competition, decision-making, and learning how to move forward when things don’t go the way you expected. Now streaming on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music & iHeart Radio.

Ep. 40 — “What People Get Wrong"
Welcome back to the You Good? Podcast! Episode 40 turned into one of those conversations where Nick and I kept peeling back layers the longer we sat in it. We started with something simple, how people perceive you versus who you actually are, but it quickly led into something deeper around how those perceptions stick, how sometimes it’s easier to let them exist, and what it actually takes to grow past them. We also got into the cost of decisions people don’t always talk about and the parts of your life you eventually stop going back to once you’ve experienced enough to know better. For me, this episode was less about finding answers and more about understanding how much of your life is shaped by perception, experience, and the choices you make along the way. Now streaming on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music & iHeart Radio.

Ep. 38 — "Accidentally Young Again"
Welcome back to the You Good? Podcast! This episode felt like one of those conversations that doesn’t announce what it’s doing until you’re already in it. We didn’t set out to talk about youth, nostalgia, or feeling lighter, but somewhere along the way we found ourselves reflecting on the parts of us that never fully went away. Accidentally Young Again is about growth that doesn’t feel forced, moments that reconnect you to earlier versions of yourself, and realizing that healing doesn’t always show up loud or obvious. Sometimes it just feels like remembering how to breathe a little easier. Now streaming on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music & iHeart Radio.
