Whether you're just starting your journey or you've been performing for years, getting into your dream drama college isn't easy. It's important to remember, there is no guaranteed way to get in Drama College, but here are 5 tips that may be helpful.

Have the confidence to contact casting directors like a professional. No one wants to sound like an amateur, especially when you're talking to the person who might be able to give you a job. We know that casting directors are busy people, under a lot of pressure, so what can we do to make their life a little easier? In my opinion, it's getting straight to the point. Once you've established a relationship with them, then you can be more personable, but until then, don't waste a minute of their time. As young performers, we never think about how much we're going to earn when we're older. Performing is all we care about, and although I love the innocence of that, I do think it’s important to know what you’re getting yourself into. In most cases, you don't get paid an hourly rate and it's unlikely that all members of the cast will be on the same fee. In fact, some members of the cast will get preferential treatment.  There are things you can do to make yourself more valuable, and it's as easy as developing more than one skill.
