Thee Hairapist Is In
by Thee Barberette
What's up party people?! After 18 years behind the chair, it's finally time for my turn to sit and talk. This might be a podcast coming from a barber, but it has very little to do with hair, and everything to do with connection. So, sit back, relax and hangout with me for a bit. Things are bound to be interesting.

TTFN
I love it when unexpectedly amazing things happen. Like setting out to do a catch up episode, and ending up making an announcement even I didn't see coming.
-
115
Sticks and Stones
I'm a lover, not a fighter. But in all honesty, I'd choose a fist fight over a war of words any day. Physical bruises heal faster than emotional scars.
-
114
Two Gifts, One Episode
They're back! My two favorite guests, not that I'm biased, have returned for a yuletide episode. You'll laugh, you'll cry and you might even sing along.
-
113
Get in the Spirit
The holidays aren't always easy. Whoever said or says they should be is either a made up movie character, or a little delulu. Sometimes, finding a way to get into the holiday spirit can be the best way to get through the season. That's what I've done this year. And I'm doing it by celebrating the little girl who grew up to be my mom.
-
112
See What You Get
In the holiday spirit of giving, give more of the things that matter and less of the things that don't. Material gifts fade away, but gifts of the heart can last forever.
-

December, already?
How on earth is it already December? I'm planning on making at least a few of my yearly "Christmas time event plans" happen. It's never happened before but this year is different. I just know it.
-
110
Gobble Gobble
Happy Thanksgiving Week! Let this episode serve as a reminder to be grateful, show thanks, and find a reason to keep going. The holidays are upon us and sometimes that's not easy. Take the time to take care and be well.
-
109
The Choice is Yours
You always have a choice so try your best to make it a good one. Otherwise, you might continue to suck.
-
108
Citizen Cope
Doing things when life is "life-ing" can be difficult. Whether it's things we want to, choose to, or need to do, there's always a way. Even if it means you're coping simply to get things done.

107
Change? Change, Change. Pt.2
This is Pt.2, aka the last 3 minutes of Episode 7. Please listen to the first 22 minutes of Pt.1 first or it just won't make sense.
-
106
Change? Change, Change.
Change is never easy. Especially when it's unexpected, unwanted or uncalled for. Sometimes, it just flat out sucks and all we can do is deal with it. Other times, it's something you never wanted, yet, exactly what you never knew you needed. BY THE WAY... Please immediately listen to the bonus episode for Pt.2, aka, the last 3 minutes that got cut off of this episode.

105
Running on Empty
If running on fumes isn't good for your car, why would you think it was good for you? And by you, I mean me, we, us. Sure, we've all done it. And if you haven't well that's great. Keep doing that. For those of us who have, take this as a sign to stop and refuel.
-
104
Some of What I've Got to Give
You can't pour from an empty cup so why bother trying? Sometimes you need to take the time to refill, replenish and revitalize yourself. Because, let's be honest. No one else is going to do it for you, especially if they expect you to do it for them.
-
103
Rapid Motion
Life is moving at a snail's pace for me right now. Like a snail stuck to a stick, racing down a wild river, trying to avoid getting hurled into a boulder. I'm hanging on for dear life and trying to enjoy the crazy ride.
-
102
What's Underneath
Here's an episode encouraging you to face the truth, face some fears, and start the journey. You just have to get past my scruffy voice and the monster under your bed.
-
101
Please Don't
Are you a people pleaser? Do you know of and benefit from a people pleaser? No matter which one you are, you're probably not going to like what I have to say. Either way, this episode is for you.

It's Been Long Enough
Don't call it a comeback. It's just time to come back. Welcome to Season 6.

The Day After Dad's
Father's day this year was a little tough, but it brought about some important reflections I'd like to share. Here's a little bonus episode to remind you that I'm still here, still healing, and still grateful for it all.

Checking In
It's been too long to go without a check in so....

It'll Be Ok
Wrapping up the season with more joy than grief, and more love than loss. It's my pleasure to introduce to you, the one, the only, half-hearted, Nate D-O-Double G
-
96
Cheers to Two Years
It's the 2nd anniversary of the podcast! It also happens to be my birthday so you know I'm celebrating. This is a time to reflect and rejoice. I'm so proud of how far I've come and I can't wait to see how far I go. Cheers to two years!

95
Half of My Heart
What happens when you live life waiting to grieve? Do you countdown the minutes bouncing between anger and fear? Or do you walk in gratitude and acceptance, loving every minute of uncertainty?
-
94
My Most Super Senior
The relationships I build with my clients are the driving force behind what I do. This one just happens to be one of, if not, my favorite. To Carlo Tripoli, my most super senior, with love.
-
93
Brotherly Love
It's a beautiful thing to love a friend like a brother or sister. It's a heartbreaking experience to grieve their untimely and unexpected death... How do you say goodbye when they are gone too soon?
-
92
UnGrief
Grieving is one of the most difficult things to do. It can challenge you. Wreck you. Break you down into a million pieces. But it always gives you an opportunity to grow and rebuild. Not grieving, or living in a period of "un-grief," can cause you to hold on to things, and people, that you are meant to completely let go of. And that, is so much worse.

...In With The New
My guests this week are a double dose of wisdom, love, and kindness. Princess Scooshie Mama and Best Dude are back in the house! One is ready to be a star and the other, well, let's just say, I'm lucky I got what I got out of her.
-
90
Merry Stinchmas
I love the Grinch. Always have, always will. I fully understand why he felt the way he did about the holidays, and why he acted out of grumpiness. I too have a Grinch-like heart. It's why my family refers to me as "The Stinch." And just like his heart grew, so has mine, too.
-
89
Sister, Sister
I have an older cousin who I love like a sister. My cousin has an older sister who she didn't get enough time with here on Earth. Spend some time with us as we reminisce on a beautiful life cut too short.
-
88
Thee Best
Looking back on failed relationships can be hard. Especially when it has nothing to do with romance, and everything to do with friendship. "Best" friendships, to be exact.
-
87
I'll Love You Forever
Women are such magical creatures. We are made with the purpose and gift to create, carry, and birth life. But what happens when that purpose is not fulfilled? Can hope be found after grief, somewhere over the rainbow? Does speaking up or staying silent take away the pain? Explore this facet of motherhood with me and one of my life long friends, as she rips me right out of a closet I wasn't ready to leave.
-
86
Too Much?
What exactly is too much? Am I too much, or has my life been plagued by people who are just too little? Tough question, simple answer. It ain't me baby! Never has been, never will be.
-
85
'Til Death Do Us Part
What does life look like after losing a spouse? Join me as I talk with my mom, "The Co-host," about losing my dad.
-
84
'Tis the Season
Surprise, I'm back! The holidays are upon us and what better time to unpack some heavy stuff. Oh. You don't feel like it? You're not ready? Then skip this season all together because it's gonna be a wildly difficult, and wonderfully beautiful ride. But only if you jump on and strap in.

I Am Thee Vibe Pt. 2
I was on a role and couldn't leave you hanging. So much for trying to control the universe. Enjoy part two and then go find a way to enjoy some Psylocibin.

I Am Thee Vibe
I flaked out on you last week so you know I gotta hit you with an extra special bonus episode. Kinda like the shrooms hit me at Portola Festival last weekend, and delivered a life changing punch to my spirit, heart and mind. Like to hear about it? Here it goes...
-
81
Swoosh
We did it! And by we I mean Baby Steph and I. This is the last (regular) episode of Season 4, marking 80 episodes in total. Quite the accomplishment if we do say so ourselves.
-
80
1 Year 6 Months 3 Days
It's a sobriety celebration! If I've learned anything during this time, it's that it truly is about the journey. I'm enjoying it, because the destination is not my goal.
-
79
The Wading Roomm
I'm in the wading room. Similar to a waiting room, but covered in "the ick". It's a dirty, filthy, grimy place to be but it's a necessary stop on the way to change.
-
78
Break In or Breakthrough
This week has been one for the books. But not a good book that you would enjoy reading. A textbook. Better yet, a math book. Ah yes, a good, old fashioned calculus book. Enjoy!
-
77
UnLove
We know what love is, but you know what's not love? Unlove. Giving the barebones minimum, and sometimes not even that much, to someone you claim to love. Neglect masquerading as love that expects to be shown gratitude. I know a few people who are loved like that by their immediate family. This episode is dedicated to his parents. You know who you are.
-
76
This is My Song
I bet you'll never guess who cries this episode? But I should get a pass since it's about my cute ass niece and nephew. Hey, at least I start off with an angry rant about an internet troll.
-
75
Still Outside Pt. 2
Trigger Warning: I'm coming in cool and going out hot this episode. I truly mean to attack you personally with this one. You should be upset, but not at me. Be upset at yourself for the way you're choosing to do life. Hope the shoe fits!
-
74
Still Outside
The struggle is real, but the show must go on! Even if it's only for 5 minutes.
-
73
Praise Report
Time to proclaim the good news! I'm festival bound and I can't wait for the bay, the music, and the trees that breathe right before your eyes.
-
72
More Life
First thing I did when I got home from my much needed getaway was unpack my bags. I had no clue I'd be unpacking some emotional baggage as well.
-
71
Good Morning
"Good morning. Good morning. Good morning to you. Our day is beginning, there's so much to do." Now Let's Elsa and Ana this b*tch and get some shit done!
-
70
Regrowth
In my line of business, regrowth means your roots are showing. In this episode, regrowth means there's still work to be done and lessons to be learned.
-
69
Don't Shoot the Messenger
Look. I really can't help it that I'm right when I'm right, and I'm right most of the time. At least, intuitively.
-
68
The Takeover
Baby Steph is in the building! She's taking over the podcast because she's tired of me holding back. Sorry, not sorry, and please take offense.
-
67
Pack & Purge
It's moving day and I'm on to bigger and better! Well, except for my room. I'm losing space there. But I do have a backyard and a space to record in the garage, so, it's a win.
