Genesis 9

Genesis 3:14—4:5
Adam and Eve have turned from God and now God must respond. Our study of Genesis continues as God judges the serpent, the battle of good and evil begins, God gives us the first prophecy about the coming of the Messiah, and we meet Adam and Eve’s children, Cain and Abel.

Genesis 3:1-13
In Genesis 1 and 2 we learned about man walking with God in a garden and a beautiful marriage between a husband and a wife. Then, in chapter four we’ll learn about jealousy, anger, murder, lying, wickedness, rebellion, and worst of all, a broken relationship with God. What happens in between? Travel with us through chapter 3, as Adam and Eve meet a serpent and, through their disobedience to God, everything changes.

As our study of Genesis continues, we’re back in the garden of Eden where we see God “breathe” life into Adam, learn about the tree of good and evil, and witness as woman is created from Adam’s rib.
