I wanted to flip J Hus’s “Daily Duppy” with a fresh remix built around a sample from Kam, a West Coast US hip-hop OG. J Hus is pure dope on this track, and GRM Daily brought the energy too. Respect to J Hus, GRM Daily, and Kam for the inspiration and source material.

You may recognize the sample in this one. I'll let you guess it. If you're not of a certain age or a fan of the artist, then you may miss it. I thought this song by Nas & Common would be a different take on this remix. Enjoy.

I don't think I've remixed Sir Mix-A-Lot, so I decided to redo a mix I did back in the 90's of one of my favorite songs by him, "My Hooptie" when I was in college. I never put it on cassette or CD. Here's a different take on a legendary East Coast-based Hip Hop group with a West Coast feel.

I actually had this in a mix a few years ago. If you go to my playlists and search for Diggin' In The Crates, you'll find a mix titled "Digging In The Crates 5". This is where you'll hear where the inspiration for where this remix came from.

This is actually a sample from the song used in the chorus of the original song. I don't know why they didn't just do it like this in addition to the Between The Sheets by the Isley Brothers version of the remix. I just wanted to pay tribute to a legendary MC today.
