J Hus - Daily Duppy (Givin’ It Up Remix) [Tim Valentine Remix]
I wanted to flip J Hus’s “Daily Duppy” with a fresh remix built around a sample from Kam, a West Coast US hip-hop OG. J Hus is pure dope on this track, and GRM Daily brought the energy too. Respect to J Hus, GRM Daily, and Kam for the inspiration and source material.

Ghetto Dreams (Sign of the Times Remix - feat. Nas)
You may recognize the sample in this one. I'll let you guess it. If you're not of a certain age or a fan of the artist, then you may miss it. I thought this song by Nas & Common would be a different take on this remix. Enjoy.

FDT The Sunken Place (Bay Area Remix)
Go check out King Kyle Lee. Stream, Buy & Listen to his music. Although I just found him, he's been doing this for a minute. I heard this song, "FDT The Sunken Place," and had to remix it, not because anything was wrong with the original; that's dope too. I knew I wanted to see how it would fit with a different style. I've been listening to hip hop since the beginning, well, since 1981. I'm only going to recommend people to check someone out if I like them and think they're at that level. So I'll say it again, go check out King Kyle Lee. He's from San Antonio, TX.

My Hoopty (Old School Remix)
I don't think I've remixed Sir Mix-A-Lot, so I decided to redo a mix I did back in the 90's of one of my favorite songs by him, "My Hooptie" when I was in college. I never put it on cassette or CD. I just remembered doing it back in the day. So here you go. Those who remember and liked Sir Mix-A-Lot, here's my remix of the underground classic, My Hooptie.

Here's a different take on a legendary East Coast-based Hip Hop group with a West Coast feel.

Front, Back & Side to Side (Man Funk Remix)
I actually had this in a mix a few years ago. If you go to my playlists and search for Diggin' In The Crates, you'll find a mix titled "Digging In The Crates 5". This is where you'll hear where the inspiration for where this remix came from.

Big Poppa (Pull Up On Me Bootleg)
This is actually a sample from the song used in the chorus of the original song. I don't know why they didn't just do it like this in addition to the Between The Sheets by the Isley Brothers version of the remix. I just wanted to pay tribute to a legendary MC today. I hope all who hears it, enjoys it, shares it and subscribe to the channel.

Midday Mixtape 18
This one right here is for the heads who really listen. Straight boom-bap, no shortcuts—just dusty loops, hard drums, and bars that mean something. Feels like late nights in the boroughs, where every verse got weight and every instrumental tells its own story. You got legends, you got underground spitters, all meeting on that same frequency—raw, unfiltered, and built off respect for the craft. This ain’t just a mix, it’s a reminder of what this culture sounds like when it’s done right.

🇺🇸 English: This DJ mashup respectfully connects Ärsenik’s French rap classic “Paradis assassiné” with J-Live’s U.S. underground instrumental “Braggin’ Writes.” Created by an American DJ who has followed hip hop since 1980, this mix is a tribute to both French and U.S. hip hop cultures. It’s intended to introduce U.S. listeners to French rap and French listeners to classic U.S. hip hop sounds, celebrating the shared roots and distinct voices of both scenes. I encourage all the U.S. based Hip Hop fans to check Ärsenik out. They're a dope duo. We've been missing out on them, but hopefully this introduces them to another fanbase. 🇫🇷✊🏾🇺🇸 Au cœur de ce projet, le message est simple : nous sommes le même peuple, sur deux continents différents, unis par le hip hop. / At its core, this is a message that we are the same people, just on two different continents, united by hip hop.

Chez Le Mac (Bootleg non autorisé – Props Over Here)

Memorial Day Cookout Mix 2026: Dedicated to the Soldiers Lost & Hip Hop Pioneers
This isn't the only mix I'll do for Memorial Day, but wanted to start out with something that brings me back and reminds me of the times when my parents, uncles, and other family members would come together to just enjoy one another's company and have fun.

Freestyle Friday 14
This mixtape stays in the pocket of raw Hip-Hop craftsmanship, blending soulful cuts, jazz-sprinkled loops, and lyrical durability from the culture’s finest. From Janet and Q-Tip’s timeless chemistry to Slum Village, De La Soul, Digable Planets, The Pharcyde, The Roots, and Pete Rock, the sequence feels like a love letter to the era when beats knocked, rhymes mattered, and every record had a head-nod built in. This is one for the backpackers, the crate diggers, and anybody who still believes in true-school rap with style, swing, and substance.

Brooklyn Zoo (Casualties Remix)
I'll have to put the other remix I did with Got Your Money and Billie Jean on YouTube since I can't upload it here. This is an unofficial remix of Brooklyn Zoo. I remember when I first bought this 12" vinyl a long time ago. I just wanted to give it a different feel. Go out and stream, buy and if you have it on cd, tape or vinyl at home, go play ODB too. #RIPODB

I wanted to do more, but also wanted to not make it too long. So this is just a handful of the pioneer hip hop artists from the West Coast. It includes pioneers such as King Tee, Ice-T, Sir Mix-A-Lot, Mixmaster Spade and more. If you like this mix, please consider subscribing to the channel, share with others and feel free to comment.

Freestyle Friday 13
This is a short 20 minute mix that blends classic 90s hip hop, boom bap, instrumental hip hop, and neo-soul vibes in one smooth mix. I'll include the playlist in the first comment, but it featuring legends like Gang Starr, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Common, The Pharcyde, Jurassic 5, Slum Village, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, and People Under The Stairs, this mix brings together jazzy samples, dusty drums, underground rap, conscious hip hop, soulful beats, and laid-back instrumental grooves. Perfect for fans of golden era hip hop, lo-fi hip hop, study music, chill beats, late-night listening, and timeless head-nod music. I hope you enjoy, share with others, like and subscribe.

Way 2 Wet (Old School Remix)
I believe the two artists I've found to be the most versatile to remix are Paul Wall, Drake and anyone from Wu-Tang Clan. I usually can experiment with the sound further to find what makes me want to listen to it on repeat. There's a few more, but I hope someone finds these "unofficial" remixes enjoyable. Don't forget to like, comment, share and subscribe to my channel.

They Don't Know (The Million Dollar Remix)
I may have to put all of the Paul Wall remixes together into one album or something. Nothing wrong with the originals, but all of the remixes with Paul Wall has that feel that I look for in a remix. It has to make you want to listen to it over and over again and tell your friends to listen to it like we use to do back in the day.

Jesus Music 15
This latest edition of my Jesus Music mixtape series is more than a mix—it’s a soundtrack for staying grounded, focused, and faith-filled through every season. From reflective instrumentals to bold, truth-filled verses, this playlist brings together voices like Lecrae, Jackie Hill Perry, and Trip Lee to deliver real-life stories, worship moments, and street-level honesty over soulful and hard-hitting beats. Whether you’re driving, working, or just need something uplifting, this mix keeps your spirit aligned and your head nodding. Each mix in this series I've honestly tried to take it in a different direction on purpose. If this mix captures someone's attention that it leads them to consider Christ, then I've done my job. It may not be for you, but that's on you and only for you to conclude after listening to it. It's a short mix, so you might enjoy it.
