499 — Visceral Meat (with Rhys Nicholson)
Rhys Nicholson has written a book called DISH. Wil uses this as an excuse to catch up with the comedian. The novel is a part cook-book, part memoir — featuring essays, anchovies, and a story about an Illuminati of gay people trying to destroy straight white men. Rhys and Wil reflect on their craft and Rhys' style, including the importance of kindness. 498 — Baby Got Back
Beck, Taylor Hawkins, and Sir Paul McCartney walk into a bar — or do they? Charlie rants about a YouTube channel called Drumeo where drummers are given songs without drums and asked to figure out a drum part after two listens. Wil tries to find a parallel between drummers and comedians but in a rare twist, Charlie smacks his theory down. Is this the beginning of a changing hierarchy in the TOFOP Universe? Probably not. 497 — World Cup Smash And Grab (with Adam Spencer)
Wil is joined by cricket tragic and numbers man, Adam Spencer to reflect on Australia's recent men's team victory at the Cricket ODI World Cup. Beating India in India looked unlikely a few weeks ago but Cummins' men played out of their skin when it counted most. The pair discuss the performance of each Australian player as well as the Marnus Miracle, statue design ideas for Travis Head, and why Ishan Kishan has gone fishin'. 496 — Save The Rec Centre (with Gabriel Gasparinatos)
ONEFOUR: Against All Odds is more than just a music doco, it's an Australian story about self-expression, race, the portrayal of violence in art, and the powers that try to control those things. ONEFOUR are a drill rap group from western Sydney who were targeted by NSW Police who used 'lawful harassment' to shut down gigs. Charlie chats with the director of this new Netflix film, Gabe Gasparinatos. He shares an insight into how he went about making a story that has resonated with audiences around the world. 495 — Up To Standard
Charlie sees a Beatle (in concert). What if Paul branched out and wrote a diss track? If Wil can't become Keanu Reeves, maybe he can befriend him? He shares the story of a time he saw him in a hotel. (side note, is TOFOP Wil's Dog Star? Charlie's insulted but acknowledges it could be true). A large chunk of the episode is then devoted to brainstorming how Wil could go back in time and create a series of coincidences (that aren't creepy) to allow him to become friends with Keanu. The murky origins of the heroes in a half shell. Also, what could TOFOP pitch to be featured at South by South-West? It turns out, nothing. The pair try to convince each other that 'nothing' is indeed 'something' and the result is an existential tailspin. Charlie wonders about opportunities lost, Wil reassures him that next year will be better. But the reality is big-dicked turtles could be as good as it gets. NEAPS (North East Australian Paranormal Society) is in session with Ben McLeay and Charlie Clausen and the topic today: is there life outside of Earth? The pair analyse the mass UFO siting that happened in Melbourne in 1966. The incident, known as the Westall UFO, took place at a school and many vividly remember what they saw. But not every recount adds up. Is there more to the story? Always. Also, a UFO researcher with lived experience sits down to reveal all. 486 — The Unexplained: Explained - Yowie
The second meeting of NEAPS (North East Australian Paranormal Society) is called into session as Ben and Charlie turn their attention to Australia's version of Bigfoot, the Yowie. The discussion leads to a wider discussion around cryptozoology and whether the idea of a giant, hairy gorilla living in the woods is even that interesting. Charlie then tells Ben about Yowie sighting that occurred in Queensland in the late '70s, involving a future politician and school cover up. Luckily, the Brisbane-based Boonta Vista podcast host also happens to be the largest private collector of paranormal literature. Together they form NEAPS: the North-East Australia Paranormal Society. In episode one, the pair tackle one of Australia's most sensational mysteries: the poltergeist of Humpty Doo. You don't have to believe, but you do need to listen. This leads to a deeper reflection about how someone's perspective can change. Turns out people can change. Eventually, Charlie gets his Arnie chat which leads to the ethics of steroids, and why wrestlers aren't meant to be juicing. 454 — Meggings
After a quick brainstorm regarding TOFOP-branded men’s leggings, Charlie shares a list of some of the most controversial psychological experiments. The list involves orphans, a baby named ‘Albert’, and your Facebook feed. The mailbag sparks an interesting question: among TOFOP listeners, what is the most common name? We're exploring this one name at a time, starting with 'MIKE'. If your name is Mike (or any variation of Michael) please fill out this form, subject line ‘I’m Mike’ https://tofop.com/contact/ Patreon, merch, and more from the TOFOP universe: https://linktr.ee/TOFOP See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

453 — 2 Guys 1 Urn: Iddy Biddy Hitty Committee (with Charlie Clausen)
With help from a blue dog and some riveting test matches, Charlie Clausen wakes up from a 25-year cricket coma. Once Charlie's up to speed the pair recap the second Ashes test at Lords, and boy was it a doozy. 452 — I'm Not Al Pacino (with Chris Taylor)
Charlie's joined by Chaser alumni and broadcaster, Chris Taylor. They're together to chat about Chris' new podcast Birth, Baby & Beyond but the conversation goes down a rabbit hole around faith and religion. The pair share anecdotes about their run-ins with Scientology and the nature of faith. The topic of spirituality inevitably leads to death which organically segues to birth and — the reason Chris is here today — to discuss his podcast for new parents, Birth, Baby & Beyond. 451 — The Great Reset
Hi, it's Mike the third here. I usually write these little blurbs but I wanted to break the format today to share a personal story. When I was a kid, there was a thing called the Sydney Water Crisis. Basically, some people got sick because the water was dodgy. We were only allowed to drink water that had been boiled. I was a human child and fast access to water was important to me (still is) so naturally, I was like fuck that and drank the water anyway. I got really sick and Mum asked if it was because I drank the water. I lied and said no but she knew I had. Anyway, at some point after the crisis was over, I remember hearing a story about how they'd fixed it. I don't know if this is true or not — and a quick search online didn't reveal anything — but this idea has stuck with me for 20+ years and it's very funny if it's true. My memory is this: the way they fixed the Sydney Water Crisis was by loosening the standards for what they considered acceptable or 'safe' for drinking. This remarkable idea instantly solved the problem. If you're a sharp observer of this podcast you might have noticed a change in how we number these episodes, including a jump from episode '436' to '450'. There is a complex and boring reason why past episode title numbers might not have matched the numbers automatically listed in your app. Just know — we fixed it, and the solution was inspired by Sydney Water. 450 — Becoming Warnie (with Alex Williams)
Alex Williams is well-known to TOFOP listeners as our roving donut correspondent. But when he's not doing that important work, he's the star of the new Shane Warne biopic, 'Warnie'. Alex joins Charlie to describe what went into playing the charismatic athlete, including a body transformation, tapping into Warne's 'core energy', and a fair amount of fake spray tan. The conversation turns to test cricket more broadly, including Charlie's attempts to rediscover the game through the current Ashes series. Warnie airs on Channel 9 on 25/26 June.
