Directed by Chris Columbus and written and produced by John Hughes, the film tells the story of a boy who defends his Chicago home after his family accidentally leaves him behind on their family trip to Paris.     #91 That Time We Reviewed The Hidden Fortress

    For our fourth film of Foreign Film Month, we watched Conor's pick the 1958 jidaigeki adventure film The Hidden Fortress. Directed by Akira Kurosawa, the story takes place in feudal Japan during a war of two clans. General Makabe Rokuroto attempts to smuggle heir to the Akizuki throne, Princess Yuki, across enemy territory. All the while two greedy peasants, Tahei and Matashichi try and get some money out of them.
