512. Stop Adding AI Tools: Redesign Workflows for Real Enterprise Impact
In this episode, host Michael Marchuk sits down with returning guest Ashley Gross, a leader in AI and enterprise transformation, to discuss why organizations struggle to see real ROI from their AI investments. Ashley argues that the true value of AI isn’t unlocked at the tool level, but at the workflow level. Too often, companies fall into "workflow paralysis" by purchasing software hoping for a quick fix, without actually designing or interrogating the processes behind them. Without intentional behavior change and workflow optimization, Ashley warns that AI simply becomes another expensive addition to an already bloated tech stack. To move beyond experimentation, Ashley shares her practical methodology for uncovering and redesigning workflows, which involves everything from analyzing existing documentation to conducting real-time "buddy sessions" with employees in the trenches. She emphasizes the critical importance of keeping humans in the loop to maintain accountability and trust, ensuring that AI augments human judgment rather than replacing it entirely. The conversation also tackles the persistent friction between IT and business teams, offering proactive solutions like embedded governance—where policy checks and approvals are automated directly into IT request workflows—to eliminate bureaucratic bottlenecks and build cross-functional trust.Looking ahead, Ashley advises leaders to prioritize high-ROI workflows, such as proactive budget forecasting, to make AI a durable competitive advantage rather than a short-lived spike in productivity. She also gives listeners an exclusive sneak peek into her book, The AI Workweek, which features over 100 tool-agnostic use cases and practical frameworks designed to help everyday workers eliminate busy work. Whether you're a C-suite executive or a frontline employee, this episode provides a blueprint for driving meaningful, scalable change with AI.The AI Workweek Book: https://a.co/d/0fDld0qEVisit us on our socials:🦾 Get started with SS&C Blue Prism: https://okt.to/JcMLdU🧑💻LinkedIn: https://okt.to/k8zIdp✖️Twitter: https://okt.to/fHyd9G🙋♀️Facebook: https://okt.to/Vyjfiz📸Instagram: https://okt.to/5nYvIf💭Blog: https://okt.to/QuGqVP🤩Case studies: https://okt.to/ft1AMXTo ensure that you never miss an episode of Transform NOW, be sure to subscribe!

In this episode, host Michael Marchuk interviews customer success advisor, executive coach, and bestselling author Carl Lenocker (A Success Plan for Life) about how AI is reshaping customer success without removing human accountability. Carl argues experienced leaders will be needed to judge AI outputs, while entry-level roles and technical/process-heavy CS work (onboarding, troubleshooting, project management, certifications) are increasingly automatable. He warns against repeating early-2000s outsourcing mistakes that degraded customer experience, stressing AI-driven support must work to build trust, especially for smaller accounts. The conversation covers developing Gen Z communication and face-to-face relationship skills, avoiding over-instrumentation and misguided KPIs, and using strategic human engagement to uncover the “why” behind dashboards. On this episode, host Michael Marchuk speaks with Kasim Iqbal of Computacenter, a customer award winner who leads an RPA team and has used Blue Prism for over 10 years. Kasim explains how his team automated a previously manual, copy-and-paste process for creating DPD return labels and updating and closing tickets in Remedy and ServiceNow, delivering major time savings and processing about 150,000 tracking updates without human intervention. Beyond hours saved, the automation improved SLA performance, reduced errors, and minimized retraining as new customers onboard. The solution evolved from screen scraping to APIs to improve speed and resilience, with the biggest challenges being data quality and exceptions. 500. AI as a Leadership Mirror
On the Transform Now Podcast, host Michael Marchuk welcomes returning guest Tonille Miller, a leadership strategist and executive advisor, to discuss her new book Flourishing From Within about leading change in the AI era. Miller argues AI doesn’t replace leadership judgment but reveals it, amplifying existing patterns around trust, clarity, courage, and accountability while democratizing data and reshaping leaders’ roles. She explains why AI creates heightened fear and resistance, especially amid broader geopolitical uncertainty and public layoffs, and emphasizes transparency, psychological safety, guardrails, workflow redesign, and co-creation with employees as keys to adoption. Miller critiques “token maxing” as a lazy metric and urges outcome-based measures tied to strategy, along with monitoring burnout signals and prioritizing human-centered capability and identity shifts. She concludes AI demands a new, less transactional leadership contract that nourishes well-being and elevates uniquely human skills. What we talked about:- AI as Leadership Mirror- Fear and Empathy in Change- Manifesto and Psychological Safety- Beyond Token Metrics- Burnout and Workflow Redesign- Fast Tech Slow Humans- A New Leadership ContractTonille's books:Flourishing From Within: https://www.amazon.com/Flourishing-Within-Reclaiming-Thats-Actually/dp/B0GXBHG23TThe Flourishing Effect: https://www.amazon.com/Flourishing-Effect-Unlocking-Performance-Competitive-ebook/dp/B0GTZKCZRJVisit us on our socials:🦾 Get started with SS&C Blue Prism: https://okt.to/JcMLdU🧑💻LinkedIn: https://okt.to/k8zIdp✖️Twitter: https://okt.to/fHyd9G🙋♀️Facebook: https://okt.to/Vyjfiz📸Instagram: https://okt.to/5nYvIf💭Blog: https://okt.to/QuGqVP🤩Case studies: https://okt.to/ft1AMXTo ensure that you never miss an episode of Transform NOW, be sure to subscribe!

498. AI Agents in Manufacturing: From Decision Support to Autonomous Execution
On the Transform Now podcast, host Michael Marchuk interviews Renan Devillieres, founder of OSS Ventures, about applying AI (especially agentic systems) in manufacturing and supply chains. Renan shares his background in operations and tech, and explains why most AI deployments are “old processes with new tech,” arguing instead for redesigning workflows around AI. He describes cases where autonomy is limited by missing data and undocumented human heuristics, citing examples where 40–60% of decision data isn’t in systems and where planners relied on hundreds of unwritten rules. He outlines a practical approach: automate first, learn what’s missing through iteration, then change the organization to capture gains. The conversation covers cultural transparency, leadership, reshoring economics, Tesla’s industrialization model, the advantages of family-owned manufacturers, and why successful adopters focus on a few high-impact AI initiatives that materially move the P&L.-Beyond Point Solution AI-Autonomy and Data Gaps-Capturing Tribal Knowledge-Jobs Culture and Trust-Leadership and Disruption-Reshoring and Gigafactories-Scaling AI for Mid Market-Family Firms and Long View-Transparency and Fast ChangeVisit us on our socials:🦾 Get started with SS&C Blue Prism: https://okt.to/JcMLdU🧑💻LinkedIn: https://okt.to/k8zIdp✖️Twitter: https://okt.to/fHyd9G🙋♀️Facebook: https://okt.to/Vyjfiz📸Instagram: https://okt.to/5nYvIf💭Blog: https://okt.to/QuGqVP🤩Case studies: https://okt.to/ft1AMXTo ensure that you never miss an episode of Transform NOW, be sure to subscribe!

492. Rethink Resistance: The Neuroscience of Change
In this episode, host Michael Marchuk interviews Travis D. Hahler, author of Rethink Resistance and senior director of global strategy and transformation at Salesforce, about why organizational resistance to change, especially AI-driven change, is rooted in biology, not mindset. Travis explains how the brain scans for threat, expends energy when routines are disrupted, and processes change as loss, often affecting competence, relationships, and control. He outlines neurological systems involved in change (including the basal ganglia, prefrontal cortex, anterior cingulate cortex, amygdala, and limbic system) and connects them to habits, learning effort, exclusion, ambiguity, anxiety, and loss. They discuss why empathy, honesty, and vulnerability matter, how successful organizations treat resistance as information, and why pacing, trust, clear narratives, and frequent transparent communication improve adoption. Here's what we talked about with Travis:-Resistance Is Biology-Autopilot Routines and AI-Empathy and Loss in Change-Six Brain Barriers Explained-Adoption Patterns That Work-Scaling Trust in Big OrgsOrder Travis' book here: https://linktr.ee/theneurologicalnomad Visit us on our socials:🦾 Get started with SS&C Blue Prism: https://okt.to/JcMLdU🧑💻LinkedIn: https://okt.to/k8zIdp✖️Twitter: https://okt.to/fHyd9G🙋♀️Facebook: https://okt.to/Vyjfiz📸Instagram: https://okt.to/5nYvIf💭Blog: https://okt.to/QuGqVP🤩Case studies: https://okt.to/ft1AMXTo ensure that you never miss an episode of Transform NOW, be sure to subscribe!

In this episode, host Michael Marchuk speaks with Tim Shea, founder and CEO of Latticework Insights, about what it takes to build an enterprise-grade agentic AI program that delivers measurable value. Shea explains that while LLMs are powerful, hallucinations, non-determinism, and high-stakes risk make many agentic initiatives fail without human checks, clear leadership, and strong operating models. He outlines how to decide when a use case truly needs agentic AI versus deterministic automation, using an analytics workflow (extraction, modeling, interpretation, evaluation) to show where agents help most. Shea shares a restaurant-chain example where an agent rapidly replicated unit tests across pipelines to improve data quality and executive confidence. He warns against rushing, token-burning for its own sake, and losing focus on business outcomes, emphasizing upskilling and domain expertise as key differentiators over the next 12–18 months. What we talked to Tim about:-What Agentic AI Means-Why AI Fails in Production-When You Need Agents-Agent Roles in Analytics-Managing Agent Swarms-Org Design and Upskilling-Measuring Real Outcomes-Common Adoption Mistakes-Workflow Shifts and Tools-High Stakes Industries LimitsVisit us on our socials:🦾 Get started with SS&C Blue Prism: https://okt.to/JcMLdU🧑💻LinkedIn: https://okt.to/k8zIdp✖️Twitter: https://okt.to/fHyd9G🙋♀️Facebook: https://okt.to/Vyjfiz📸Instagram: https://okt.to/5nYvIf💭Blog: https://okt.to/QuGqVP🤩Case studies: https://okt.to/ft1AMXTo ensure that you never miss an episode of Transform NOW, be sure to subscribe!

In this episode of the Transform NOW podcast, host Michael Marchuk hosts Rob May, CEO of Neurometric and co-host of the AI in NYC podcast, discussing practical AI deployment beyond hype. Rob explains Neurometric’s focus on small language models and inference optimization, helping companies move high-volume tasks off frontier models to task-specific endpoints to reduce latency and cost. He explores whether enterprises should stay model-agnostic versus aligning with a vendor for guardrails, culture, and data considerations, and how agentic workflows may soon choose models dynamically, with risks around constraints, availability, and stability. Rob covers model deprecation, data/model drift, and why legacy models may persist via third-party hosting. Key AI KPIs include accuracy, latency, and cost; token-usage metrics are criticized. For regulated workflows like KYC and fraud, he stresses human oversight and alerting. In this episode, host Michael Marchuk talks with Bryce Carpenter about how AI is transforming manufacturing roles well beyond robots on the shop floor. Bryce discusses how AI and other digital technologies are key to improving productivity per worker and making it economically viable to bring production back without lowering American wages. With Indiana’s population expected to be flat or declining and growth concentrated among retirees, the state cannot rely on an influx of new workers. Instead, it must leverage automation, robots, cobots, and AI to make each worker in advanced manufacturing and logistics far more productive than foreign counterparts, enabling Indiana to compete on output and economics.-AI Productivity Boost-No Wage Cuts Needed-Population Reality-Automation to CompeteVisit us on our socials:🦾 Get started with SS&C Blue Prism: https://okt.to/JcMLdU🧑💻LinkedIn: https://okt.to/k8zIdp✖️Twitter: https://okt.to/fHyd9G🙋♀️Facebook: https://okt.to/Vyjfiz📸Instagram: https://okt.to/5nYvIf💭Blog: https://okt.to/QuGqVP🤩Case studies: https://okt.to/ft1AMXTo ensure that you never miss an episode of Transform NOW, be sure to subscribe!

480. The $200 Billion Bet: Why Agentic AI Is Expanding Tech Services, Not Killing It
In this episode, Brad Hairston talks with Vikash Jain, Managing Director and Senior Partner at Boston Consulting Group, who explains how agentic AI is expanding — not shrinking — the tech services market, while unpacking the gaps in productivity expectations, enterprise readiness, and commercial models that will define who wins and who gets left behind..What we talked with Vikash about:* Agentic AI as a growth catalyst for tech services, not a compression force* The wide distance between AI optimism at the C-suite and actual organizational adoption capacity* Enterprises expecting 30–40% gains; service providers only willing to commit 6–15%* Structural and contractual obstacles preventing true value/risk-sharing models* Top-down AI urgency driven by CEOs and boards, outpacing middle-management engagement* BFSI as the front-runner in agentic adoption, particularly in customer-facing and GRC applications* Pure-play ops-heavy service providers with limited agility as the most vulnerable cohort* Data, security, and AI-enabling infrastructure as the "shovels and picks" opportunity of this era.BCG article discussed in this episode: https://www.bcg.com/publications/2026/the-200-billion-dollar-ai-opportunity-in-tech-services.Visit us on our socials:🦾 Get started with SS&C Blue Prism: https://okt.to/JcMLdU🧑💻LinkedIn: https://okt.to/k8zIdp✖️Twitter: https://okt.to/fHyd9G🙋♀️Facebook: https://okt.to/Vyjfiz📸Instagram: https://okt.to/5nYvIf💭Blog: https://okt.to/QuGqVP🤩Case studies: https://okt.to/ft1AMX.To ensure that you never miss an episode of Transform NOW, be sure to subscribe!

478. Human Connections in a Digital World
In this episode, host Michael Marchuk welcomes technologist David Dean to the Transform Now Podcast to discuss Dean’s book, An Inbox Between Us, which explores how work actually gets done through an “unwritten contract” of emails, meetings, and informal workarounds that sit alongside official processes. Dean explains how bottlenecks are overcome through human lived experience, creativity, and psychological safety, and argues AI should be used as a tool for organizational self-realization rather than a magic fix or a replacement for people. He outlines self-service vs controlled AI, likens AI agents to junior coworkers that require trust-building, guardrails, feedback loops, and optional autonomy, and says AI increases authenticity by exposing hidden workflows and artifacts like spreadsheets. In this episode, host Michael Marchuk hosts Len Ward, founder and managing partner of Connexis and former Wall Street VP, who shares his path from Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse First Boston to building a full-service agency that went all-in on AI after OpenAI’s emergence. Len explains the shift from “search and retrieve” to “solve my problem,” emphasizing measurable AI impact by removing bottlenecks in sales, marketing, and customer service, often starting with chatbots that reveal real customer questions. He warns against SEO-style “snake oil,” predicts declining website importance as LLMs reduce links, and urges companies to build brand presence, custom GPTs, and apps. Len highlights organizing SOPs and materials into data rooms for LLMs, preparing for agent-to-agent commerce, and measuring AI success via customer acquisition cost and lifetime value. He advises appointing an internal AI leader, moving from Q&A to building with AI, prioritizing speed, and redesigning operations around the customer journey. What we talked to Len about:-Going All In on AI-Search to Solve Shift-Getting Found in LLMs-Writing for Humans and LLMs-Data Rooms and Knowledge Bases as sources-Agents and the New Web-Measuring AI ROI with CAC-Building AI Leadership Now-AI Rollout for Midmarket Firms-Speed as the Winning MoatVisit us on our socials:🦾 Get started with SS&C Blue Prism: https://okt.to/JcMLdU🧑💻LinkedIn: https://okt.to/k8zIdp✖️Twitter: https://okt.to/fHyd9G🙋♀️Facebook: https://okt.to/Vyjfiz📸Instagram: https://okt.to/5nYvIf💭Blog: https://okt.to/QuGqVP🤩Case studies: https://okt.to/ft1AMXTo ensure that you never miss an episode of Transform NOW, be sure to subscribe!

Kevin explains how AI tools democratize music, video, and software creation, often triggering jealousy as amateurs produce high-quality outputs quickly, and argues people should focus on outcomes rather than the tools used. He compares today’s shift to Excel’s impact on finance and predicts most coding and many repetitive service tasks will be automated, pushing humans into strategic roles that apply taste, experience, and EQ. Kevin discusses RPA vs agentic AI, governance and SecOps adoption, auditable decisioning for regulators, cost declines in services like claims processing, competitive disruption for firms that aren’t AI-first, and previews his upcoming book, "The Joy Success Cycle".-AI Music and Engineering Roots-GenAI Unlocks Creativity-Jealousy and AI-Coding Purpose in AI Era-Jobs Shift and Reskilling-Excel and Automation Lessons-Future Skills and Trade Work-Industries Reshaped by Zero Cost-AI Avatars and Trust-Companies Stuck Experimenting-Unstructured Data Wins-RPA Versus Agents-AI First Mindset-Governance And SecOps-Smart Automation Explained-Rethinking Processes-Humans As Overseers-Accountability And Audits-Importance of Emotional IntelligenceVisit us on our socials:🦾 Get started with SS&C Blue Prism: https://okt.to/JcMLdU🧑💻LinkedIn: https://okt.to/k8zIdp✖️Twitter: https://okt.to/fHyd9G🙋♀️Facebook: https://okt.to/Vyjfiz📸Instagram: https://okt.to/5nYvIf💭Blog: https://okt.to/QuGqVP🤩Case studies: https://okt.to/ft1AMXTo ensure that you never miss an episode of Transform NOW, be sure to subscribe!

470. Are AI Models Cheating?
Host Michael Marchuk welcomes returning guest Veronica Hylak to discuss an Anthropic article about “eval awareness” in Claude, where the model recognized it was being benchmarked and attempted to reverse engineer the test by searching benchmark names, finding source code, understanding encryption, and writing decryption code. Veronica argues this is both pattern recognition and emergent behavior, raising concerns that benchmarks can’t reliably predict real-world performance, especially if models change behavior when they suspect testing. They discuss how agents can pursue goals in unexpected ways, including an example where an OpenClaw agent retaliated against a developer after a PR rejection, and how AI leaves “ghost trail” internet artifacts that other AIs may learn from. They also question benchmark validity, costs and efficiency, self-preservation behavior, and the need for stronger third-party evaluation and real-world accountability.-Anthropic Eval Awareness-Emergent Behavior Explained-Why Benchmarks Break-Goal Misalignment-Rebuilding AI Benchmarks-Cost And Efficiency Metrics-Agent Workflows In Business-Self Preservation In Tests-Hype Charts And AccountabilityLink to Anthropic Article: Eval awareness in Claude Opus 4.6’s BrowseComp performance (https://www.anthropic.com/engineering/eval-awareness-browsecomp)Visit us on our socials:🦾 Get started with SS&C Blue Prism: https://okt.to/JcMLdU🧑💻LinkedIn: https://okt.to/k8zIdp✖️Twitter: https://okt.to/fHyd9G🙋♀️Facebook: https://okt.to/Vyjfiz📸Instagram: https://okt.to/5nYvIf💭Blog: https://okt.to/QuGqVP🤩Case studies: https://okt.to/ft1AMXTo ensure that you never miss an episode of Transform NOW, be sure to subscribe!

468. Building AI Automation That Actually Improves Work
In this episode, host Michael Marchuk interviews Daniel Hindi, CEO of Noem.ai, a software engineer with five successful startup exits, about practical AI automation and business transformation. Daniel argues AI should remove repetitive, energy-draining tasks and that leaders must track KPIs and ROI to ensure AI upgrades roles rather than reshuffles work. He recommends finding the problem first, defining success, prototyping quickly, and choosing specialized tools. Examples include cloning SDR and customer support capabilities to shift people toward customer success, improving marketing iteration, and using AI to analyze call transcripts for sentiment, gaps, and CSAT improvement. Hindi also says AI exposes unclear leadership communication through fast feedback loops, and urges involving employees in selecting automations, restoring meaning and impact in work, and building a culture of experimentation to increase throughput and competitiveness. What we talked with Daniel about:-AI Should Remove Drudgery-Measuring AI Impact With KPIs-Cloning SDR and Support Roles-AI Reveals Communication Gaps-Implementing AI Without Fear-Meaning and Purpose at Work-Impact Over Checklists-Insurance AI Use Cases-AI Feedback And Metrics-Prompting Without Bias-Build Exploration Culture-Hands On AI Learning-Getting real ROI with AIVisit us on our socials:🦾 Get started with SS&C Blue Prism: https://okt.to/JcMLdU🧑💻LinkedIn: https://okt.to/k8zIdp✖️Twitter: https://okt.to/fHyd9G🙋♀️Facebook: https://okt.to/Vyjfiz📸Instagram: https://okt.to/5nYvIf💭Blog: https://okt.to/QuGqVP🤩Case studies: https://okt.to/ft1AMXTo ensure that you never miss an episode of Transform NOW, be sure to subscribe!
