As we record this episode, Florida state officials are in the final stages of preparing 61-Year-Old William Frances Silvia for execution. Silvia is set to die by lethal injection for the 2006 murder of his estranged wife, Patricia and the attempted murder of her mom. Silvia lost his job, his home, then decided to purchase a shotgun before heading to the home of his estranged wife’s mother to try and reconcile with her, ultimately shooting her mom first, then killing Patricia in front of her family. Here we go again, as we add another congressman to a growling list of lawmakers accused of inappropriate sexual conduct. This time, it’s Democrat Jimmy Gomez from California, and while he admits to having made “mistakes outside his marriage” he insists he did not violate house ethics rules.  He says this because, the “mistakes” he’s referring to occurred with a House staffer, just not HIS staffer. It’s day one of testimony in the Lindsay Clancy triple murder trial, the 35-year-old mother who strangled her three young children, but blames postpartum psychosis for the killings. The first witness was Clancy’s ex-husband Patrick, also father to 5-year-old Clara, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan. Patrick Clancy described his wife’s declining and confusing mental state in the days leading up to his children’s deaths. Prosecutors continued to present evidence to a California judge on Wednesday why singer D4vd should face a jury of his peers for the alleged murder and dismemberment of his underaged girlfriend Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Two LAPD criminalists were called to the stand to go over the evidence they uncovered at the singer’s Hollywood Hills home and inside the Tesla where Celeste’s decomposing remains were found by police. The long awaited preliminary hearing for singer D4vd is officially underway in Los Angeles.  Prosecutors will spend the next several days presenting their case against the 21-year-old once-rising star, who is facing life in prison or the death penalty if convicted for the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas-Hernandez. We just watched the world’s first ever Half-Time show for the World Cup, and give it two enthusiastic thumbs up. Madonna may have lip synched her opening, but it was iconic to watch her kill it in her 70s. Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso handing it off to Justin Bieber was just perfect. There has been a 69 percent increase in reported cases of the parasite causing “explosive” diarrhea in more than 30 states from just last Friday!  Now, experts believe lettuce and leafy greens may be the source of the outbreak, but there are few details as to what type of greens, where they came from, and whether there is more produce to blame. Thankfully, there have been no deaths reported from this outbreak, but the miserable conditions have sent dozens to the hospital and if left untreated, can leave people with symptoms for up to a month. A frightening story and a cautionary tale for air travelers, after a 61-year-old man on a flight from Greece to Germany was partially sucked out of an airplane window. His wife and fellow passengers held onto his legs, and eventually pulled him back inside the plane. He is now recovering in the hospital with head and neck injuries and friction burns. Witness accounts from inside the cabin are harrowing and many believe the man is alive today because he was wearing his seatbelt when the window dislodged from the plane. The sixth film in the notoriously dark and gory franchise is the most intense, grisly and gory one yet. We weren’t sure the movie could live up to all the hype, but it certainly did, and even surpassed our expectations. However, speaking of expectations, the film has not lived up to what producers were hoping, falling far short in its opening weekend. As we learn more about the latest Iranian assassination threats against President Trump’s life, Trump himself laid out what amounts to a “dead man’s switch” on his social media. Trump claims he’s given orders to the U.S. military to destroy Iran at levels they’ve never seen before in case he is assassinated. The President even told reporters this week in Turkey that perhaps his luck in staying alive won’t last much longer. There is a concerning level of secrecy surrounding Republican Senator and former leader Mitch McConnell. The 84-year-old Senator has been in the hospital since June 14th after a disturbing 9-1-1 call that suggests McConnell was unconscious and experiencing cardiac arrest. 28-year-old Dalton Eatherly who goes by “Chud the Builder” and livestreams himself saying racially derogatory statements to black people in public settings was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
