When it comes to going out on dates, hanging with friends or even just being out with family, who should pay the bill? After a viral video of a group of friends bashing a lady's husband for not paying for their food at their friend's birthday party, the teens question the rules around splitting the bill.

After looking up our neighborhood online via a real estate website called Property Club, the teens discovered not only is their neighborhood considered dangerous, but it's the FOURTH on the list as the MOST dangerous neighborhood in Chicago! According to Property Club North Lawndale was a growing and developing neighborhood on Chicago's West Side, but it was greatly affected by the 2008 recession. The neighborhood has 34,794 residents, and it's estimated that approximately 70% of men aged 17-45 in North Lawndale have criminal records. Because of such negativity, North Lawndale is one of 10 priority communities selected as a part of the initial phase of Chicago’s INVEST South/West commercial corridor improvement strategy. Illinois State Representative Yolonda Morris of the 9th District stopped by the BBF Building Brighter Futures For the Arts Center to hear the concerns of Chicago's youth during our after school program with the True Star Podcast. The Emmys Has Moved to 2024 The ceremony is scheduled to be broadcast on Fox on January 15, 2024, with the Creative Arts Emmys on January 6 and 7, at the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, California, following a delay from September 2023 due to the 2023 Hollywood labor disputes and writers strike. Nominations were originally announced on July 12, 2023.

Kenwood seniors Noah and Miracle discuss their thoughts on the old generation's thinking and how it effects the youth of today.

On April 14th and 15th in the Downtown Chicago area, teens were caught again in local and national spotlight after a chaotic weekend. According to ABC7 news , videos showed groups of teens recking havoc on Michigan Avenue on Saturday April 15th and at 31st Street Beach on Friday April 14. Some teenagers were shot, dozens of arrests were made, with businesses, residents and tourists scared. These meet ups known as "trends" are often hyped up and circulated on social media. Kenwood teens Brandon and Damarege discuss what they think is causing the "trends".

On March 27, 2023, a mass shooting occurred at The Covenant School, a private Presbyterian Church in America parochial school in the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville, Tennessee. According to CNN, the school shooting suspect had maps of the school building and scouted a possible second attack location.  As police further investigate, the students of Kenwood High School in Chicago can't help but wonder if their school is safe enough after they also have recently experienced the death of a student via shooting.
