As we begin to wrap up our study of Proverbs, I’m amazed at how much I’ve learned about studying this book. Giving in to sin never ends well. It destroys us and hurts those around us. The temptation to sin will always exist as long as we are in these bodies. Our culture is in a constant pattern of comparison. We are constantly bombarded with messages about what we have and don’t have and if we aren’t careful we can fall into the trap of measuring our worth as people and our very identity by the things that we have. An appetite is something that you can easily take for granted until you lose it. As you may or may not know, I was sick last week and one of the big symptoms that I had was I completely lost my appetite. As I have been researching and studying this book of Proverbs, I almost forgot it was written by King Solomon.
