115: 60 Years of The Final Frontier, Part One

Wes' favorite episodes from both Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: Enterprise.Across seven combined seasons of television—three from The Original Series and four from Enterprise—Wes has spent years revisiting, re‑evaluating, and rediscovering the episodes that shaped his love of Star Trek. With so many classics, deep cuts, and character-driven gems to choose from, narrowing down favorites from each season is no small task. But anniversaries call for bold choices. To celebrate two major franchise milestones—the 25th anniversary of Star Trek: Enterprise and the 60th anniversary of Star Trek itself on Twin Cities Trekkies, Wes dives into both series with a curated list that reflects not just critical acclaim, but personal connection. For each season of The Original Series and Enterprise, he selects three standout episodes that continue to resonate with him today. These picks span everything from groundbreaking sci‑fi concepts to emotional character arcs, from iconic moments in Trek history to episodes that deserve far more recognition than they get.And because no Trek list is complete without a few extra nods, Wes also highlights two honorable mentions from each series—episodes that didn’t quite make the top three but still hold a special place in his heart. Whether it’s a classic Kirk-Spock-McCoy adventure or a quietly powerful moment from Archer’s crew, these selections paint a vivid picture of what makes each show unique. You can share your feedback with us on our Facebook page at facebook.com/TCTrekkiesPod or by emailing [email protected]. M-20: A Conversation with Video Game Spock

Piotr Michael Interview.PLEASE NOTE: this episode was put together in July 2024 - before the strike. In 2023, a new video game sprang on to the scene, Star Trek: Resurgence. It was a third-person adventure game, with its plot a follow-up to the first season Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Last Outpost." It included the voice of Jonathan Frakes as William Riker, however, one of the other voice actors stood out - Piotr Michael, who channeled the late Leonard Nimoy as Ambassador Spock. Resurgence takes place before the 24th century events of the 2009 Star Trek feature film so naturally a new voice actor was needed to play Spock. In this mini-episode of Twin Cities Trekkies - long delayed due to the Video Game Strike of 2024 (which has now ended as of June 11, 2025) - Wes interviews Piotr Michael, who voiced Spock and asks about his career, how he was able to channel Nimoy, and teases about other projects he is currently doing.Any feedback you have can be submitted to the Facebook page (facebook.com/tctrekkiespod), or by emailing them at [email protected]. On May 13, 2005, Star Trek: Enterprise aired its controversial series finale "These Are the Voyages..." and with its airing ended a then-18-year run of new Star Trek on television and film. However, in the two decades since its airing, fans have enjoyed the adventures of Captain Archer and the crew of the Enterprise NX-01 in a dozen or so novels that take place after the fourth season's events. A potential crossover scenario between Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and SpongeBob SquarePants. On April 24, 2025, Paramount+ released a brand-new advertisement for the streamer, combining two long-running franchises that have been in Paramount's portfolio - Star Trek and SpongeBob SquarePants. The ad had several actors from the Strange New Worlds cast interacting with several characters and voice actors from SpongeBob. 89: 30 Years of Voyager, Part V - Book Review: The Autobiography of Kathryn Janeway (2020)

Una McCormack's The Autobiography of Kathryn Janeway. During the seven seasons of Star Trek: Voyager, we got to know Kathryn Janeway very well. We knew who she was like, a little bit about her history before Voyager and how she was a strong and capable starship commander. But in all that time, have we heard about her background before Voyager, in her own words? In this episode of Twin Cities Trekkies, which marks the fifth part of the podcast's celebration of Star Trek: Voyager's thirtieth anniversary, Wes reviews Una McCormack's 2020 novel The Autobiography of Kathryn Janeway, which was published during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and was published to celebrate the silver anniversary of the television series. 88: 30 Years of Voyager, Part IV - Character Analysis IX: Seven of Nine

Seven of Nine.Introduced in the fourth season of Star Trek: Voyager to boost the series' tanking ratings, Seven of Nine became an integral part of that series. She became known not only for her sex appeal, but also for her smarts. So much so, she became a force to be reckoned with as her life took her beyond Voyager, but eventually with the Fenris Rangers, to eventually becoming the newest captain of the Enterprise in Star Trek: Picard. Of course, none of this would be possible without the actress who portrayed her for at least seven full seasons - four on Voyager, three on Picard, and hopefully beyond - by none other than Jeri Ryan. In this episode of Twin Cities Trekkies, which celebrates 30 Years of Star Trek: Voyager, Wes is joined by Crusher Convo's Jessi to talk about this rather unique character in Star Trek history. 26: Character Analysis II: Picard

REUPLOADED WITH NEW MUSIC!Jean-Luc Picard.Introduced in the first episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Jean-Luc Picard is the captain most Star Trek fans would tend to pick as their favorite. From his humble beginnings as the antithesis of James T. Kirk by being more of a diplomatic and authoritative captain, to actually resigning his commission as an Admiral over the Romulan supernova rescue pullout, Jean-Luc Picard has become one quintessential human being.Of course, Sir Patrick Stewart’s performance as the character cannot be overstated. In this episode of Twin Cities Trekkies, hosts Wes Huntington and MacKenzie Flickinger analyze Jean-Luc Picard - talking about the biggest events in his life, such as dealing with his assimilation into Locutus, him taking revenge on the Borg, helping the Synths gain protection by the Federation in 2399 and everything in between.Thank you to Living the Dream with Curveball for being today’s featured podcast!
