Two Gals and a Mic

Two Gals and a Mic is a Sandy Ridge Campground production -- a laid-back podcast hosted by friends Brooks and Toni, who met while living and working at Sandy Ridge Campground & RV Resort in North Carolina. We’re RVing gals with real lives, real opinions, absolutely no script, and plenty to say. Expect a mix of RV life, campground culture, and totally random conversations. We’ll use Sandy Ridge as our home base (and yes, as a shameless plug), but most episodes drift wherever our curiosity does -- comedy, chaos, opinions, weird questions, and the everyday madness of life. Come for the RV vibes. Stay for the conversation.

It’s Hot, We’re Miserable, and TikTok Won

It’s hot. Like… question your life choices... hot. This week, Brooks and Toni talk about surviving the heat, falling down the endless rabbit hole of Facebook Reels and TikTok, and why no matter how much we complain -- we’re absolutely not giving them up anytime soon. From mindless scrolling to “just one more video” turning into an hour (or three), it’s a painfully honest look at the apps we love to hate… and definitely can’t quit.Come hang out, laugh a little, and maybe feel slightly better about your own screen time.

  2. 11

Marathons, Mountain Roads, and Brooks’ Deliverance Detour

This week, Toni talks marathon life while Brooks reflects on the harsh reality of going from athlete to proud couch potato. Somewhere in the middle, Brooks defends her self proclaimed famous bowler hat, both of us spiral over the absolutely unhinged roads in West Virginia and Maryland, and Brooks retells the (now infamous) story of the time GPS sent her down the wrong road and straight into what felt like a real life Deliverance scene. It’s part fitness talk, part road trauma, part chaos.

We Started with Mandela Effects… Then Brooks Said WHAT?!

This week on Two Gals and a Mic, things took a turn…What started as a casual conversation about Mandela Effects quickly spiraled into full-blown conspiracy territory. From CERN theories to alternate timelines, Brooks and Toni go down the rabbit hole—and let’s just say… not everyone agrees. At one point, Brooks drops a statement that stops the entire conversation cold: she’s not convinced we actually landed on the moon.Toni’s response? “…what?”This episode is equal parts hilarious, uncomfortable, and way too real.If you’ve ever questioned reality (or your co-host), this one’s for you.

  4. 9

This Episode Got Hijacked by Our Phobias

This episode was supposed to go one way… and immediately went another. What started as a normal conversation quickly turned into a full-blown deep dive into phobias -- specifically flying insects, spiders, and the kind of irrational fear that somehow feels completely justified in the moment. From unexpected encounters to full-on panic reactions, we share stories that prove sometimes it’s not fear… it’s survival. If you’ve ever questioned why bugs exist or found yourself reacting way louder than necessary, this one’s for you.

  5. 8

Things We Don’t Do Anymore (And Why We’re Probably Haunted)

This week, we’re talking about all the things we swore we’d never stop doing… but somehow did. From childhood habits that disappeared to the weird realization that adulthood feels a little haunted sometimes. We get into scary movies, unexplained vibes, and the difference between being paranoid and having real woman’s intuition. Because let’s be honest… sometimes you just know.

  6. 7

Creepy Masks, Childhood Shenanigans and All The Chaos In Between

In this episode, Brooks and Toni take a nostalgic, chaotic dive into the strange things that terrified us as kids -- starting with the unsettling world of masks and why they've always been just a little too creepy for comfort. That trip down memory lane quickly spirals into stories about the questionable decisions we made growing up, our siblings who absolutely helped us get into trouble, and the kind of childhood logic that only makes sense when you're ten.Somewhere along the way, Brooks recounts her showdown with a tree that did not end in her favor. It's a mix of childhood fears, chaos and the kind of stories that make you wonder how we survived our youth in the first place.

  7. 6

Duck Hunt, Downward Dog, and Sunday Guilt

Sundays are supposed to be for rest. In theory. This week, Brooks and Toni attempt to talk about relaxing “just because we can” -- and quickly realize how uncomfortable that actually is. Why does doing nothing feel like we’re doing something wrong??Somewhere between Sunday anxiety, motion sickness, Nintendo 64 nostalgia (yes, Duck Hunt made an appearance), yoga, meditation, and the strange pressure to always be productive, the conversation turns into a surprisingly honest look at why rest feels rebellious. If you’ve ever tried to relax and somehow ended up mentally reorganizing your entire life instead… this one’s for you.

  8. 5

The Super Bowl, Strange Symptoms, and Other Lies We Tell

This episode starts with Brooks being sick… but not normal sick. We’re talking mysterious allergy symptoms, and absolutely no clear answer as to what she’s reacting to. Naturally, this leads to a discussion about avoiding doctors, side-eyeing healthy eating, and trying to convince yourself you’ll “figure it out eventually.”From there, things take a turn -- into the Super Bowl, and then unspoken truths where they discuss why women swear they don’t pass gas around their partners (despite the infamous “green cloud”), why we insist we don’t snore even though the evidence says otherwise, and how denial is sometimes a full-time lifestyle. It’s strange symptoms, selective honesty, things that linger longer than they should, and the very human lies we tell ourselves -- all wrapped into one episode.

  9. 4

This Was Never Going To Be About One Thing

This episode is unapologetically all over the place... in the best way. Brooks and Toni bounce between Cane Corsos, latchkey kid childhoods, parents becoming our best friends, fathers and daughters, and about five other conversations we swear were connected at the time. There’s no agenda, no outline, and no clean transitions. Just real talk, side quests, nostalgia, and the kind of conversation that happens when you let it go where it wants to go. If you like episodes that feel more like sitting at a table listening in than being talked at, this one’s for you.

  10. 3

Are We Really Emotional Support Humans?

From casual conversations that turn into full confessions to moments where “hello” becomes emotional oversharing, Brooks and Toni talk about how they somehow became everyone’s emotional support humans -- and why this keeps happening.

  11. 2

Dating, Campground Men, and Why This Went Sideways

What started as a conversation about dating older men quickly took a sharp left turn into uncharted territory. Brooks and Toni somehow end up discussing the realities of campground dating and bars, unexpected crushes, questionable standards, and the very serious debate of chest hair versus no chest hair. There was no plan. There were no notes. Just laughs, side commentary, and the slow realization that this was never going to stay on topic. If you’ve ever tried to have a normal conversation and watched it unravel in real time, this one’s for you.

  12. 1

We Had Resolutions. Then Came the Hobo Clowns.

This episode was supposed to be about New Year’s resolutions.Instead, Brooks and Toni take a sharp left turn into hobo clowns, antiquing rabbit holes, and the kind of chaotic conversations that only happen when you stop pretending life is tidy. From campground life to unexpected tangents, this episode captures exactly what real conversations sound like -- unfiltered, unscripted, and way more entertaining than the plan.Welcome to Sandy Ridge Campground & RV Resort, where even resolutions don’t go as expected.

    It's Not a Hallmark Movie

The holidays aren’t always cozy movies and perfectly planned moments. Brooks and Toni talk about expectations, reality, and what the season really looks like at the campground. It’s honest, a little chaotic, and -- somehow -- includes a full rabbit trail about socks.

Life rarely goes according to plan. Sometimes it doesn’t even take the right exit.In the very first episode of Two Gals and a Mic, meet Brooks and Toni -- two women who didn’t plan on RV life, weren’t looking for Sandy Ridge, and yet somehow ended up exactly there.Brooks shares how a housing curveball during COVID led to RV ownership and an unexpected landing at Sandy Ridge. Toni talks mid-life pivots, jobs that didn’t pan out, and an RV purchase that probably surprised everyone, herself included. Different paths, same destination. This episode is intentionally longer than what’s to come -- it’s the origin story. The “how did we get here?” before the laughter, chaos, and campground stories that follow. If you’ve ever taken a wrong turn and found yourself somewhere you never knew you needed to be... welcome. You’re in the right place.
