Episode 18 - Be Careful Who (and What) You Follow

We’re all following something.Whether it’s social media, culture, friends, or the constant noise around us, the voices we listen to shape the direction of our lives more than we realize. In this episode, we talk about what it means to be careful who—and what—we follow. Looking at John 10 and Psalm 23, we explore Jesus as the Good Shepherd, what it means to recognize His voice, and how following the right voice leads to peace, purpose, and life.Because the question isn’t if you’re following…It’s who you’re following.

Episode 17 - What Grinds My Gears

We all have them… the little things that just get under our skin.Shopping carts left in the parking lot. Sitting at a green light way too long. Slow drivers in the fast lane.In this episode, we have some fun talking about what “grinds our gears,” but we also take a step back and ask a deeper question, what does constant complaining do to our spirit, our relationships, and even our relationship with God?Because while complaining comes naturally, gratitude has to be cultivated. And what we focus on shapes who we become.

Episode 16 - Rethinking Atonement in John 3

This episode is a little different. It comes out of a class project on the Gospel of John, where we were asked to wrestle with a big question:What does atonement actually mean in John’s Gospel? We look at Gospel of John 3:1–21, the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus, and ask some honest questions. Why does Jesus talk about being “born from above”? Why does John focus on belief and life instead of forgiveness language? And what does it mean for Jesus to be “lifted up”?Instead of giving easy answers, this episode leans into the tension. Drawing from different interpretive lenses, we explore how John presents salvation not just as something that happens for us, but something that invites us into new life, relationship, and transformation. Because maybe atonement isn’t just about fixing a problem.Maybe it’s about stepping into a whole new way of living.

Episode 15 - The Church Has Left The Building

This past Sunday looked a little different. The church gathered… and then the church scattered. For Community Care Day, we stepped outside the building and into the community, serving, visiting, building relationships, giving, and simply showing up for people in real and meaningful ways. From yard work and hygiene kits to communion with shut-ins and fellowship at Wesley Commons, it was a powerful reminder of what the church is called to be.In this episode, we reflect on what it means to be the hands and feet of Christ, why faith was never meant to stay inside four walls, and how simple acts of service can point people to something deeper.Because church isn’t just something we attend… it’s something we live.

  5. 15

    Episode 14 - Masters Week

It’s Masters week… which means the azaleas are blooming, Amen Corner is calling, and the pimento cheese sandwiches are ready.Oh, and there’s some pretty good golf too.In this episode, we talk all things Masters. The history, the traditions, and why it truly is “a tournament like no other.” But we also take it a step further. What is it about beauty, rhythm, and shared experiences that draws us in?Because maybe the Masters isn’t just about golf. Maybe it’s about slowing down, noticing beauty, and being reminded of what really matters.

Episode 13 - Burnout Is Real

Life doesn’t slow down.Work, church, family, responsibilities… it all just keeps coming. And somewhere along the way, what once felt meaningful can start to feel exhausting. In this episode, we’re talking about something almost everyone has experienced—but not everyone understands: burnout. What is burnout… really? Is it just being tired, or is there something deeper going on?We unpack what burnout actually is, why it happens, and how it quietly builds over time. We also look at how even Jesus stepped away to rest, and why we struggle to do the same.If you’ve ever felt like you’re running on empty, losing motivation, or just going through the motions, this conversation is for you.Because faithfulness isn’t constant exhaustion… and you were never meant to carry everything on your own.

Episode 12: Is God Different in the Old Testament vs. New Testament?

Why does God seem harsh in the Old Testament… but loving and patient in the New Testament? It’s a question a lot of people wrestle with but don’t always say out loud. In this episode, we take an honest look at that tension. From sacrifice and judgment to grace and forgiveness, we talk about what can feel like two very different pictures of God, and whether they actually are.We explore how God’s character remains consistent throughout Scripture, how the Old and New Testaments fit together as one story, and how Jesus doesn’t replace the God of the Old Testament, but reveals Him more fully. If you’ve ever read parts of the Bible and felt confused, uncomfortable, or unsure how it all connects, this conversation is for you.Because maybe the question isn’t whether God has changed…but whether we are learning to see Him more clearly.

Episode 11 - Physical Strength vs. Spiritual Strength

Everyone wants to get stronger. But are we focusing on the right kind of strength? In this episode, we dive into 1 Timothy 4:8 and the powerful contrast between physical training and spiritual growth. We talk about gym routines, discipline, and why building strength in the body is only part of the story.Because while physical strength has value; spiritual strength shapes who you are.If you’ve ever struggled with consistency, discipline, or growing in your faith, this conversation is for you.

Episode 10 - If God Said Yes

What if God said yes to every prayer you prayed last week Would anything change? In this episode of Two Pastors – Conversations About Everything, Robby and Jason dive into the topic of prayer through the lens of Robby’s book, If God Said Yes: Turning Timid Prayers Into Bold Conversations with God. The conversation explores why so many Christians pray safe, guarded prayers and what it looks like to move toward bold, faith-filled conversations with God.Together they discuss the question that sparked the book: If God said yes to everything you prayed for last week, what would change? That simple question reveals a lot about how we pray and what we truly expect God to do. Throughout the episode, Robby and Jason talk about why we often pray timidly, what Scripture shows us about bold prayer, and how learning to pray specifically and expectantly can deepen our faith and reshape our relationship with God. They also explore how prayer isn’t about controlling outcomes but about trusting the character of the God we’re talking to.If you’ve ever felt like your prayers have become routine, small, or uncertain, this conversation will challenge and encourage you to start praying in a way that reflects a bigger faith in a bigger God. Because prayer was never meant to be timid — it was meant to be a bold conversation with the One who hears.

Episode 9 - Sabbath: The Gift We Forgot To Open

We live in a world that never stops. Deadlines. Notifications. Responsibilities. Expectations. Even the good things in life can leave us exhausted. So what if the problem isn’t that we need better time management… but that we’ve forgotten how to rest?In this episode, we talk about Sabbath, what it really is, where it began in Genesis, and why God didn’t rest because He was tired. Sabbath wasn’t an afterthought. It was built into creation itself. Before sin. Before stress. Before burnout. Rest was part of God’s design. We explore why Sabbath is the only commandment that begins with the word “remember,” why stopping feels so risky in our culture, and how rest can actually be an act of trust and resistance. We also talk practically about what Sabbath might look like in real life, not as a rigid rulebook, but as a life-giving rhythm that restores our identity, renews our souls, and reminds us that we are not what we produce. If you’ve been running on empty… this conversation is for you.You don’t have to earn rest. You’re invited into it.

    Episode 8 - Hearing God's Call

How do you know if God is calling you?In this episode, we talk about what it really means to be called by God. We look at the stories of Abraham, Moses, Isaiah, and the disciples; ordinary people who were invited into extraordinary purpose. Some were hesitant. Some felt unqualified. None of them had it all figured out. But they responded. We also share our own call stories; how we sensed God leading us into ministry, what confirmed that calling, and the reality that saying “yes” to God is not always easy. Calling involves trust, obedience, growth, and sometimes walking into the unknown.Whether you feel called to ministry, parenting, leadership, service, or simply taking your next faithful step, this conversation is for you.God’s call is not about having all the answers; it is about being willing to respond. When God calls; will you say yes?
