The Dangers of Sports Betting (Ep. 120)

We live in a world where betting sites, fantasy drafts, and lotteries are everywhere—often promoted as harmless fun, but at what cost? Beneath the surface, the love of money and the desire for more can quietly take root, leading to addiction, broken families, poverty, violence, and deep spiritual harm and compromise. Scripture warns us plainly in 1 Timothy 6:10 (NKJV): “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil…” In this episode, we will take an honest look at the growing influence of sports betting and why it’s more dangerous than many realize. From a Christian perspective, we’ll explore how gambling can pull our hearts away from God, distort our values, and bring sorrow not only into our own lives but into the lives of those around us. As Christ followers, we’re called to live with wisdom, self-control, and trust in God—not in chance or quick riches. Join me as we talk honestly about why sports betting is something believers should avoid. Let's Go! Yes or No (Ep. 118)

In this episode, "Yes or No", we talk about the importance of honoring our word—and just as importantly, having the wisdom not to make promises we can’t keep. Our words matter, and integrity begins with being honest about what we can and cannot commit to. Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:37 (NKJV) set a clear standard: “But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.” When asked to do something, we’re called to give a simple, truthful yes or no—nothing more, nothing less. Also, I touch on why it’s pivotal to let your yes truly be yes and your no truly be no, and how doing so helps us keep our promises, build trust, and walk with integrity. A life of honesty reflects our faith, strengthens our relationships, and keeps us aligned with God’s truth. To Whom Much Is Given, Much Is Required (Ep. 115)

What does it really mean to live with responsibility, humility, and purpose? In this episode, I unpack the powerful biblical principle often summarized as “To Whom Much is Given, Much is Required” (Luke 12:48). This truth challenges us to recognize that our talents, opportunities, influence, and platforms are not accidents—they are gifts that come with responsibility. Whether you’re an athlete striving for excellence, a coach shaping lives, a father leading a family, a husband or wife serving your spouse, a pastor shepherding others, or simply a Christian seeking to live faithfully, this conversation calls us to intentional living. We explore how this principle applies to everyday decisions, character, leadership, and service, reminding us that faith is not just what we believe, but how we steward what God has entrusted to us. This episode will encourage you to reflect, take ownership, and live out your calling with greater purpose—understanding that privilege and responsibility always go hand in hand. Let's Go! In this episode, I had a great conversation with marriage counselor, chaplain, and consultant Felice Mathieu for a powerful and transparent conversation. A Life of Gratitude (Ep. 113)

In this episode, we explore powerful Scriptures that reveal the importance of thanksgiving and gratitude toward a loving God—through the good and the bad, the highs and the lows. Together, we reflect on the truth of Romans 8:28, trusting that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. As followers of Christ, we are reminded of the value of true contentment and the danger of falling into pride or self-reliance. Our ultimate source is Jesus Christ—Lord of all—and when we remember who He is, our hearts naturally shift toward gratitude. This mindset not only shapes how we think but transforms how we live. Gratitude is more than a feeling; it is a lifestyle. In this conversation, we dive into what it means to express our thanksgiving to God daily, not just through our words but through the way we walk out our faith. John 4:24 (NLT) reminds us, "For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” We can exhibit our thanksgiving to God as Christ followers by living a holy life that glorifies Him. Tune in and be encouraged to cultivate a heart of gratitude that reflects the goodness of God. The Importance of Bible Study (Ep. 111)

In this episode, I explore the vital role of Bible study, meditation, and application in our spiritual growth as followers of Jesus. Just as athletes dedicate time to film study to understand the game, improve their performance, and prepare for challenges, Christians are called to study Scripture with the same intentionality and purpose. We’ll discuss what every believer should know about the Bible—its structure, themes, and divine inspiration—and why studying it deeply transforms our faith. I’ll also share practical tips and tools for effective Bible study, including how to use commentaries, maps, study notes, and cross-references to gain deeper insight into God’s Word. By the end of this episode, you’ll be encouraged and equipped to approach Scripture not just as a book to read, but as a living Word to be understood, meditated on, and applied daily. Let's Go! The Dangers of Performance Enhancing Drugs (Ep. 104)

In this episode, we shine a light on a dark side of competitive sports: performance enhancing drugs. From anabolic steroids and human growth hormone (HGH) to EPO (erythropoietin), we break down what these substances are, how they work, and the serious side effects they can cause. Why do so many athletes turn to PEDs? Whether it’s the pressure to win, the desire to recover faster, or the temptation to stay ahead of the competition, we explore the common motivations behind their use — and why these shortcuts come at a high cost. As followers of Jesus Christ, we’re called to walk in integrity, humility, and holiness — even in how we train and compete. This episode challenges the temptation of performance-enhancing drugs and reminds us to pursue God’s Kingdom, not the fleeting "success" the world promises. Tune in for more. The Armor of God (Ep. 88)

In today’s world, truth has been distorted, morality has been redefined, and spiritual warfare is not just real—it’s rampant. We are living in a time where many have traded the truth of God for the lies of the culture. "Live your truth" has become the anthem of a generation, but this mindset blinds people to the reality that truth is not relative—it is absolute, and it comes from God alone. In this powerful episode, we explore the urgency and necessity of putting on the whole armor of God as outlined in Ephesians 6:10–18. This is not a suggestion—it’s a command for every believer. Why? Because we are not wrestling against people, but against principalities, powers, and spiritual forces of evil in the unseen realm. We break down each piece of the armor—the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit—and talk about how to actively apply them in our daily lives. Whether you're feeling spiritually weary, confused by the chaos in the world, or unsure how to stand in your faith, this episode will equip and encourage you. The battle is real. Evil is present. But we are not defenseless. Now more than ever, we must stop approaching life through a purely natural lens and start seeing the world through a biblical and spiritual perspective. When we suit up in God's armor, we’re not just surviving—we're standing firm, pushing back darkness, and living in victory. Count the Cost for Being a Disciple of Jesus (Ep. 84)

What does it really mean to follow Jesus — not just in word, but in every part of life? In this episode, we take a hard look at the words of Jesus in Luke 14:25-35, where He calls us to count the cost before committing to discipleship. Following Christ isn’t about comfort or convenience; it's a call to surrender, sacrifice, and obedience — even when it's hard. We’ll explore the spiritual, relational, and personal costs that come with truly walking in His footsteps, and why it's still worth everything. If you've ever wrestled with what it means to truly follow Jesus in today’s world, this episode is for you. Let's Go! Through Scripture, we’ll uncover how we can guard against entitlement with humility and a spirit of gratitude.
