Paul McCartney's "The Boys of Dungeon Lane" (2026) Part 1

Two forever fab octogenarian knights have both released brand new albums in this, the space age year of 2026. Truly a remarkable achievement. Meanwhile, two grotty quinquagenarian jagwads attempt to sort through all of the permutations and variations of the latest of these offerings, Sir Paul McCartney’s The Boys of Dungeon Lane. These are the Boys of Dumb Dumb Lane. Throughout this 2-parter they ponder the deep deep feelings (wrong album dumb dumbs) that this platter has to offer. Such as: 💿🏬 Is Boys of Dungeon Lane an album or more of a pop-up merch kiosk at the mall? 🔣🍅 Did Paul’s secret code with John involve “catsup discipline”? 📀🎶 Will there be more versions of this alb-ATTENTION COLLECTOR SCUM!! Beatles Anthology 2025 Episode 8

What’s the worst decision in Beatles history? Some might say it’s John’s “bigger than Jesus” remark, or letting “Magical Mystery Tour” air in black & white on the BBC. And yet, as decided by the good folks at Disney+/Apple/Calderstone/Zaappderstone, it would appear that the single most egregious moment in Fab history is the original “Beatles Anthology 8” runtime: 81 minutes. 81 minutes? IN THIS ECONOMY?  Fortunately (sfx: buzzer) much like labor laws, voting rights, and pride in this once great nation, Disney's "Beatles Anthology 8" has been drastically reduced. What’s survived is typically stunning both visually and musically, plus a few new (in some cases, literally) interviews are a bonus. But what else can this episode teach us about life?  🐺 Could this episode even survive without the topical/relevant drop, “T-Bone”, from the James Taylor 1988 offering, “Never Die Young”?  🍔 If Fat Mattress is the best of the ATCO roster of bands, is Mat Fattress ACTO’s biggest act?  🚔 Do the edits in this episode threaten the long discussed “Sgt. Pilcher’s Horny Cops Club Band” fundraising calendar featuring hot, corrupt global police officers of the past?   EPISODE LINKS Check out UBP's videos on  TikTok/YouTube/Facebook/Instagram! Beatles Anthology 2025 Episode 7

Greetings, Untitled Beatle Peedles! It’s a big weekend in Fab History, as arguably the most important link to the Beatles music and ethos just debuted a new release. And it’s all BeatleWorld is talking about. That’s right, the Untitled Beatles Podcast has finally dropped their deep dish of “Disney+ Presents: The Beatles Anthology 7 (Only Make It Shorter)”. This episode covers a seminal year in Beatles lore. And if you’ve ever watched the original Anthology and thought, “Hmm, cancel the Apple Boutique, it’s too woke!”, then this edit is for YOU! Tony and T.J. have loved the Beatles for an alarming number of decades, so do you think they’ll finally bring some joy to the Disney Anthology experience? As they said before network TV died (#CBS callback), “stay tuned and find out”. Because they also ask: 🐝 Angry Drunk Chicago Guy: “How come they didn’t replace no Greece footage with that Ringo song from Greece 2 about teenage kids gettin’ each other knocked up? Diane plowed my ficus after league night at Marigold Bowl back in ’79 and we had some kid I don’t see no more? Carl? Gary?” 🕉 In the revised edition of William J. Dowling’s Beatlesongs, should Macca get a .04 songwriting credit for "Dehra Dun"? 🏴‍☠️ Pick A Raider: Ringo or Tim Brown? And does this force you to finally confront your racial biases?   EPISODE LINKS Check out UBP's videos on  TikTok/YouTube/Facebook/Instagram! Like and subscribe! Please support our scrappy show. Paul McCartney on Saturday Night Live (2026)

For over 50 years, Saturday Night Live has been one of the most Important shows for rock music in the history of the nascent television medium. While, arguably, the most famous moment in the show’s history (and Tony’s favorite?) is RHCP’s multi-key 1992 version of “Under The Bridge”, there have been others. (Musical Guest The Ting Tings ripping up a photo of Colonel Sanders comes to mind.) Fortunately, just in time for NBC’s never more relevant, May sweeps season finale of SNL, they pulled in the big guns: RHCP! Oh s**t, Frusciante and Kiedis (LLC) are busy? Maybe (checks notes) Chad Smith is free? Might as well bring in noted Chad Smith lookalike Will Ferrel (“Elf”, Capitol One) to teach Chad how to host the show! Everyone knows Chad Smith’s best friend is Paul McCartney. So Chad called Sir Paul to see if he’d learn the bass part for the AI generated RHCP songs “Funky California Space Cadet” and “Santa Monica Ding-Dong”, as onetime Macca drummer Chris Whitten beat Flea’s ass in Hamburg. Where you ask? Why, under the bridge. When asked for comment, Flea replied, I don’t ever wanna feel, like when Chris Whitten kicked my ass.” Later that week, as longtime Macca drummer Abe Laboriel JR was (Alonzo) mourning young mister Christopher’s legal predicament and unable to travel, Chad Smith had an idea. He could play in Paul’s band! On SNL! The very talented singer songwriter Ingrid Michaelson can even sing back-up, and perhaps even “Cook Of The House”! And Paul could completely ignore any lame Beatles music during the live, 90 minute broadcast, because nobody wants to hear that junk! (#Motorcars #Handlebars) Are you still with us? Da f is wrong with you? You already know Tony & T.J. will talk Macca’s historic SNL performance and also hit you up with such mind benders as: 🐇 (Angry Chicago Guy. He’s unwell today in particular): How come I can’t go into no pet store no more and longingly whisper to the rodent critters, “bunny’s too tight to mention”? Is it because my ass cheeks are simply red? 🥊 Why didn’t Pixies’ 1999 smash “Where Is My Mind (Theme To Fight Club, Now A Major Motion Picture)” win an Oscar as the best original song written exclusively for the film “Fight Club”? ❗❓ Andrew Watt. NEW PAUL AND RINGO! "Home to Us" (2026) -- and Wel-Kum Back Tony!

What’s MORE thrilling than sitting through a slide show of your strange friend’s vacation photos? Answer: LISTENING to the slideshow! UBP co-host T.J. and UBP Producer Casey welcome back other UBP co-host Tony with all sorts of fab catching up (but no catching up on hot dogs! #chi-town #hotdogetiquette #nobodysezchi-town). They talk Ringo and Paul and then talk Ringo and AI, because you can’t spell “Ringo and Paul” without “AI”. Plus they have a row over 3 Saville Row. They also ask: 🍀 Is Record Store Day to record collectors what St. Patrick’s Day is to alcoholics? 🧻 If you say Twotles two times into a mirror, do you really experience and uncontrollable #2? 👻 Wait. What happened to Producer Casey? He just disappeared. Is he okay? Did he get into a tragic accident?? Will he be replaced by an uncanny look-a-like made by an AI 3D printer??? #44IF… Or is this just another case of Millennial ghosting?     EPISODE LINKS Check out UBP's videos on  TikTok/YouTube/Facebook/Instagram! Ringo Starr’s “Long Long Road” (2026) - Part 2

In this hotly anticipated Part 2, T.J. and Casey and their Sunshine Band pick up the pieces for Florida Man, Tony Mendoza, still buggin’ out in the Everglades. They wrap up their deep deep dish on Ringo’s “Long Long Road”, and T.J. “press night invite” Shanoff does his finest Chris Jones impression (Angry Drunk Chicago Guy: “I WAS ALWAYS MORUVA HEDY WEISS GUY MYSELF”) and opines on Brendan Hunt’s new one-man show “The Movement You Need” at Steppenwolf’s Magic Carpet Theater. And between the bits, they babble on wondering: 🎤💉 Is autotune the new Ozempic? 🌩⚡ ️After his recent close brush with lightning during his road trip, is Tony ready to revisit the catalog of Lou Christie? 💨💨 “She’s Gone”: WHO DID IT BETTER? Ringo, Hall and Oates, Steelheart, Bob Marley, Black Sabbath, Clapton, NOFX, L.A.B., Soft Machine, Bang Camaro, the Tindersticks, or South Side icon Ken “the Hawk” Harrelson?   EPISODE LINKS Check out UBP's videos on  TikTok/YouTube/Facebook/Instagram! Ringo Starr's "Long Long Road" (2026)

This week “Guys from The Untitled Beatles Podcast” (not to be confused with “Guys from Toto” or “Guys from Survivor”) pay homage to the great Frank Sinatra album Duets - as T.J. and guest co-host Producer Casey laugh it up over Ringo’s newest country platter, Duets Long Long Road —while ailing co-host Tony uses Duets-era technology to phone in his commentary all the way from Fort Lauderdale (not the first time that guy has phoned it in, just ask the Chicago improv community). Between all the chuckles and landline logistical delays, the team wonders: 🌬️ How on earth is the weather in Minnesota so different than the weather in Southern California? 📸 Can Portrait Records airbrush the braces and acne off of my 8th grade school photo? 🍌 Is it worth buying the Sack Lunch Original Motion Picture Soundtrack solely for Ringo’s mid-tempo slog-thru of “Banana Stain Blues”?   EPISODE LINKS Check out UBP's videos on  TikTok/YouTube/Facebook/Instagram! Live in Melbourne (1964) | Replay!

This week, P3Z-Nutz reports (not) live from down under with another fab fav classic episode! ----- Originally aired May 8, 2021 This week T.J. and Tony follow the Fab Four "under the equator" (as they say) for their ripping June 1964 concert in Melbourne, Australia. It's the rare show that captures the Beatles in peak performance shape, and in high quality audio and video. The guys go through track-by-track, and also find time to cover: • Their favorite early 2000s post-grunge band • Their least favorite 80s NBC TV theme • The breakfast menu at the Taco Bell in Plymouth, Wisconsin ...and more! So pack your bags; we’re heading for Australia! Insert Men At Work joke here.   EPISODE LINKS Find Fab footage of the Melbourne show on YouTube! Dig into this week's Pandora playlist! Untitled Beatles Spring Cleaning

The guys are back (even if their voices aren't), and catch up on all the wild Beatlenews and Beatlereleases from the past few weeks. It's been a hard day's fortnight, & Tony & T.J. have been working like dogs to buy, rent, or look at all the following: New Paul album, new Ringo album, new John meditation mixes, new George Dark Horse label re-releases, new Wings documentary & soundtrack, new John concert movie, new documentary about Paul's lost bass, Evolver 62 documentary now streaming, and a new one-person show in Chicago about The Beatles by actor/writer (& Chicagoan!) Brendan Hunt, aka Coach Beard on Ted Lasso! Whew!  The guys also discuss how Bob Eubanks and Dick Biondi, announcing together at the Hollywood Bowl, both said "The Beatles" at the same time -- which possibly gave Eubanks the idea for The Newlywed Game, where couples try to say the same things about places where they made "whoopee". Speaking of Dark Horse records, T.J.'s voice is especially dark & hoarse -- like George's voice on Dark Horse! Perhaps from running on a dark racecourse? And as George Martin says, dark horses for dark courses. But what about your father's dark horse? Of dark course, Henry the Dark Horse danced the waltz, & then the Beatles ate him in Germany for Christmas dinner. Very dark, indeed. Give My Regards to Broad Street (Film Review) | Replay!

It was five years ago today When Teej and Tony told their friends to play A VHS that T.J. had around With its super warbly 80s sound So may we introduce to you The film you’ve loved for all these years: Paul McCartney’s “Give My Regards to Broad Street” ----- Originally aired April 17, 2021 At long last, T.J. and Tony review Sir Paul's magnum opus: Give My Regards to Broad Street. Starring and written by Paul McCartney, the 1984 movie was panned by critics and audiences alike, but brought us some of Paul's best music of the decade ("No More Lonely Nights"), and some of his worst remakes of his best music from decades past (lookin' at you, "Long and Winding Road"). This long and rambling podcast leads to all the usual goofs and giggles, and—as far as we're able to ascertain—what we believe to be the first reference to the theme music from NBC's "The Days & Nights of Molly Dodd" in podcasting history. And what movie review is complete without also covering the Commodore 64 video game adaptation? Movie viewing recommended (you might be able to find it on YouTube), but certainly not required. Ninth Beatle Bracket (Windy City Edition!)

Everybody clap your hands, the UBP is Happy Just To Big Dance With You! That’s right: it’s March Fabness once again, and that means it’s time to crown the official, legally-Calderstone-sanctioned 9th Beatle Bracket, A Ron Howard Motion Picture. This year’s Beatle Bracket, much like the origins of the Fab 5, begins and ends in Chicago! From the Beatles BBC sessions recorded during the WLS Barn Dance, to the infamous rooftop concert atop Second City’s Pipers Alley parking lot, Chicago was the home of every significant Beatles event. Few will forget John’s touching tribute to his favorite retail emporium as a young tough, “Strawberry Marshall Fields Forever”. And much as Eleanor Rigby darned her White Sox in the night while there was nobody there (“there” being a May day game at Comiskey against the Royals - NOBODY CAME), Tony, T.J. and Producer Casey face some Malort-worthy matchups, featuring 312-flavored Beatlefigures everyone absolutely knows. And while you are only waiting for this one shining moment to arise, the boys must first settle some other business on the hardwood/hard would, such as: ☘ Did Howlin’ Frank Ifield invent Chicago blues? 🕶 Why in the fresh hell did late 80’s, Rose Records offshoot The Entertainment Outlet, always have so many $.49 cut-out cassette copies of Stevie Wonder’s “In Square Circle”? 💎🧻 (Angry Chicago Guy. SUPER DELUXE REISSUE: George Harrison (1979) and Live in Japan (1991)

In honour of spring break, it’s a super deluxe reissue of the Untitled Beatles Podcast’s third episode. Travel back to the simpler times of 2020, a world under lockdown during a deadly global pandemic, when two old friends/comedy nerds try podcasting about their favorite band on a platform called Zoom. Spoiler: the band is The Beatles. Wax nostalgic about scrubbing your vegetables with soap while reliving the golden days of Covid-19 with all the bells and whistles you’ve come to expect from today’s Tangential Twosome. Originally published June 13, 2020 T.J. turns Tony on... to two George Harrison solo albums: the self-titled 1979 studio record and the 1991 live double-LP with Eric Clapton's band. George Harrison, "Cloud Nine" (1987) Side 2

It’s one of the biggest albums of the late 1980’s. No, not “Small World”, Huey Lewis & The News’ misguided attempt at a jazz-pop record that sadly gave us a song called “Bobo Tempo”, and can be found in near mint condition for a dollar in used record bins across the country. Rather, dear bleeder, it’s George Harrison’s comeback album, “Cloud 9”. Led by its spirited cover of “Got My Mind Set On You”, and the unofficial theme to Disney’s Mulan (“Breath Away from Heaven”), this is a record that’s held up through the years as one of the best by a solo Beatle not named “Pete”. Tony & T.J. continue their deep-dish of this legendary album, as they explore questions about fonts, album covers, Weird Al, random Billy Joel deep cuts, and more; like: 😈 Whilst (look it up, pal) listening to the 8-Track of “Cloud 9”, do most/moist Harrison fans prefer “Devil’s Radio” (Beginning) or “Devil’s Radio” (Conclusion)? And what meta, psychological data does that provide about the listener? 🐣 Is the UBP so “woke” (ed note: gross) that they won’t let their fans eat Big League Chicken Chew before a little league game? 🏝 (Angry Chicago Guy, he’s angrily waving a dirty, BMG Record Club, CD copy of “The Immaculate Collection”. It belonged to his wife, before she moved to Hammond to "find herself":) HOW COME “LA ISLA BONITA” AIN’T NO BONUS TRACK ON NO “CLOUD 9” REISSUE?   EPISODE LINKS Check out UBP's videos on  TikTok/YouTube/Facebook/Instagram! George Harrison, "Cloud Nine" (1987) Side 1

Look. George Harrison took five years after "Gone Troppo" to complete his 1987 masterpiece "Cloud Nine", so excuse us if we take a couple weeks to wrap up our long awaited deep dish. George Harrison, "Cloud Nine" (1987)

After spending the past three weeks in 1995’s Anthology universe, the Untitled Beatles Podcast needs a break. So this week… we head WAY BACK… to 1987. That’s right. At long last, by popular demand—LLGH! Cheers, big ears!—Tony and T.J. delve into George Harrison’s smash-hit solo record, “Cloud Nine”, which T.J. SHANOFF LOVED LONG BEFORE ALL YOU BANDWAGON B*S. Along the way, they find time to foray into Format Foyer, and answer the pressing questions like: 📼🌴 OK, but does T.J. own the 1987 cassette released on Contessa records in Indonesia? 💿💦 Was Tony’s copy of Cheap Trick’s “Lap of Luxury” CD damaged in a flood, or by teenage Tony’s tears? 💗📻[Angry Drunk Chicago Guy] HOW COME THEY STILL AIN’T PLAYIN’ THESE BEATLE BLOWHARDS ON CHICAGO’S OWN ROCK 95.5 (AN IHEART RADIO STATION)?   EPISODE LINKS Check out UBP's videos on  TikTok/YouTube/Facebook/Instagram! Anthology 2025 Episode 6

Some say the “Sgt. Pepper”, post-touring era is the peak of The Beatles recorded music. Others prefer Korn. For those who are slightly more into The Beatles, Tony, T.J. and Producer Casey deep dish Episode 6 of “The Beatles Anthology”. This has always been one of the most fertile and astonishing chapters in Beatles history, but we can all be thankful that Disney truncated it by 15 minutes for those of us in a rush. Beep beep, toot toot, no time for the “For No One” bridge, damn it! And, sure! The UBP3zteetles (you try it, tough guy) talk “Anthology” 6 in great detail, but still find time to probe the throbbing questions, like: 🏛️ Why exactly is Dhani keeping George Harrison & Yanni’s legendary collab at the Acropolis unreleased? 🍇 Ray Charles is a true all-time legend. Is his singin’ raisin doppelgänger even better? ♟️ Do most non-poseur Beatles fans think “One Night In Bangkok” belongs on “Sgt. Pepper” instead of “She’s Leaving Home”?   EPISODE LINKS Check out UBP's videos on  TikTok/YouTube/Facebook/Instagram! Like and subscribe! Please support our scrappy show. Anthology 2025 Episode 5

Real Beatlefans have been saying it on the DL (#JimmyButler) for years: "Who the hell needs Rubber Soul?" Certainly not “The Beatles Anthology”, which puts nearly as much emphasis on the 1965 classic as they do “The Beatles At The Hollywood Bowl” (Pre-Ron Howard Edition). OK so maybe it’s not that bad, but c’mon Apple, it’s RUBBER SOUL! (#HeyHey #Rip) For better AND worse, Beatles Anthology 5 is much like its predecessors; chock full of incredibly remastered footage and audio; while missing certain key elements for time or perhaps simply to please a mouse. (SFX: Buzzer) Sorry! “The Mouse”! Come join Tony, T.J., and Casey as we mansplain how men mansplain Beatles stuff, and since the rule of two mansplainings cancels things out, we’ll ponder other life quandaries, like: 🏀 Do The Warriors come out to play to “Dear Prudence”, or is Steph Curry more of a “Wild Honey Pie” guy? 🏍️ Should a cover band who only does 90’s McCartney call themselves Mullet Kintyre? 🏝️ (Angry Chicago Guy: he just did a shot of Malort with an Ajax chaser): HOW COME YOKO AIN’T ON MY COPY OF “B-SIDE TO SEASIDE”? Wait no more, it’s Anthology 4! It’s better streaming, and also way worse! It’s shorter, which is nice, and also truly stupid. Official Beatles history is being re-written forever, a travesty that's never sounded or looked so good. Yes, if you’ve also found yourself stroking out at the tightening and edits of “Beatles Anthology - 2025”, you’ve got some pals at the Untitled Beatles Podcast. We’ve never been more grateful for such glorious Beatles product, and also, hey Calderstone, WTF MY DUDES??? It’s quite the conundrum as the fellas deep dish the 4th installment of this generation’s “Frozen 2”, now with Bernard Purdie as Josh Gad. They also ask the tough questions that CBS won’t allow their remaining journalists to even consider, like: 🎟🎡 Should The Beatles have re-recorded “Ticket To Ride” with lower production value for use in The Charlie Rich Anthology? 🏈🐴 Does Ringo prefer his beloved Raiders in L.A., Oakland, or Las Vegas; or merely singing “Kicks” with Paul Revere? 🍆📦 Since Sir Paul clearly created the original “I’m On A Boat” viral smash, can we finally credit John for the original “Dick In A Box” on the Two Virgins album cover?   EPISODE LINKS Check out UBP's videos on  TikTok/YouTube/Facebook/Instagram! We’re back, baybee! The Beatles Live at Stowe School (1963) | Replay!

Originally released September 23, 2023 No less an authority than Mark Lewisohn knows that the skiing scene in "Help!" was filmed in Stowe VT, during the 1997 Winter X-Games, exclusively on ESPN. But before (ahem, #apres) skiing was a very Beatles activity, Stowe was known as a small British boys school (Ringo! Ringo!), where the Beatles gave one of their longer and most interesting concerts whilst on the cusp of British fame. Recently, a tape surfaced of the mostly complete show, and like the Star Club release in 1970's, this one is truly a mammoth moment in Beatles history. Tony & T.J. gab fab on the concert, the set list, and the immense historical significance. And because they're morons, they also ponder: 🕘2️⃣🕔 Do Dolly Parton and the Twotles perform the definitive whisper version of "Let It Be"? 🎤 If you yell "How Do You Do It" repeatedly at an All Starr band concert, will Ringo and Steve Lukather feel compelled to tease it? ⚽ Would Brexit have happened had rich white British kids learned to not clap on the f**king 1 and 3, ffs?   EPISODE LINKS Max Comeau on Spotify and Bandcamp! Anthology 2025 Episodes 2 + 3

We pick up where we left off, in March 1963. The Gab Two follow the Fab Four along their journey in Anthology episodes 2 and 3: touring Britain, navigating Beatlemania, (probably) disappointing the Queen Mother, (probably) disappointing the boys in Paris, and—just in case you haven’t had enough coverage of it—INVADING THE STATES. #Don’tTellICE Tee-Jay and Tony continue their Disney+ Deep Dish, and in classic Gen X fashion, spend most of their time waxing poetic about how much cooler everything was in the 90s. Their nostalgic trip leads them to the important inquiries, like: ⚡️🐱‍👤 Which one’a those Mighty Morphine Power Rangers played the sax?  📰📺 How’d NBC 5 Chicago’s Carol Marin end up on CBS News? WHEN DID CAROL MARIN GO MAGA? (#buzz) 🤡🤡 Do you think middle-aged Tony regrets teenaged Tony’s decision to get a hipster Morecambe and Wise tattoo in 1993?   EPISODE LINKS Check out UBP's videos on TikTok/YouTube/Facebook/Instagram! Anthology 2025 Episode 1

Short attention spans. Am I right? I mean you’re reading this right now, when you could be with your family or punching a Nazi. (We at the UBP heartily encourage both.) Fortunately, the good folks at Apple & Disney are well aware of short attention span syndrome, most felt during slow dissolves and still images over credits. Thankfully, they’ve done us the favor of removing some incredible Beatles content to save time, all while making the remaining and new footage look and sound perfect. Less Beatles content, more commercials? What kind of Calderstoner would say no to that? In today’s episode, Tony & T.J., vaguely replicate their critically panned, cantankerous relationship from their brief run on ABC’s “The New Odd Couple” back in 1982 (when Tony & T.J. went by their stage names, “Ron Glass” and “Desmond Wilson”), and take a look at the first chapter of “Anthology…2025”. They spotlight some of the exciting easter egg discoveries, as well as some of the curious cuts and changes to satiate, I don’t freaking know, “Bluey” viewers? Biscuits! The pod world’s most serious gonzo rock journalists also ask a few other wild questions, such as: 🔎 Can The Pacemakers and The Dakotas tell the difference between The Pacemakers and The Dakotas? 🎺 Is it possible to discern who Foghorn Leghorn voted for merely by his accent, or by his penchant for fighting against the right to choose in the name of “freedumb”? #IsayIsayCancelFoghornLeghorn #Freak ☔️ Does not including any music from el groupo Rain in “Anthology” render it second banana to the Mexican-TV version of “Birth Of The Beatles”?   EPISODE LINKS Like and subscribe! Anthology 2025 Documentary First Impressions

Many Beatles scholars (NOT YOU, Lewisohn) often cite this familiar and prophetic John Lennon quote: "It came in a vision – a man appeared on a flaming pie and said unto them, 'From 2020 on, all crucial Beatles film projects will be kept behind a Disney paywall, where you will pay to subscribe and still get commercials'." John later relied on this memory to write the inspired-by-Joan Lunden Pepper track, ”Good Morning, Good Morning America”. (Angry Chicago Guy: AND HOW COME THEY LET STRAHAN ON THAT SHOW BUT DON’T GOT BRIAN URLACHER?) Back to The Beatles. If you weren’t aware, Disney is now streaming The Beatles Anthology, alongside a million Star Wars spin-offs from the last decade that nobody knew existed. It goes without saying that the original TV Anthology, and the vastly expanded home video version, are legendary. The latter has existed as a period piece trapped on VHS, Laserdisc, and DVD since 2003, never remastered or re-issued. Until now. Tony, T.J, producer Casey, and a sassy, housemaid robot all gussied up for a new year of hilarious hijinks - it’s TGIF on A-BEATLES-C! - begin to dissect this wild re-release/re-thinking of the most important Beatles moment since their break-up in 1970. (Sorry, “Love Songs” fans. #SorryLoveSongs) But they also ask the hard hitting questions that only a Robin Roberts/Charles Gibson would ask, like: 6️⃣7️⃣ If T.J. uses a popular word from 2022 in 2026, does that give him the right to make 2025 jokes in 2029? 🦃✈ What’s your favorite generic Muzak-rock track from the Fox Season 1 DVD of “WKRP In Cincinnati”? 🍻⚪️🧦 (Angry Chicago Guy, in an admittedly lazy callback:) HOW COME THEY LET PAUL SING “TILL THERE WAS YOU” BUT THEY DON’T LET RINGO SING “SHIPOOPI”? For those going without these cherished “only fans” records, T.J. and Tony will cover each holiday curiosity released from 1963-1969, with noses red from holiday cheer. In this very special holiday episode: 🍆 Ho Ho Ho! Will they succeed in referencing “Ding Dong” on XXXmas day? 🍗 Yeah Yeah Yeah! McCartney's "Got Back" Finale in Chicago

naaaaaa naa naa nanana naaaaaaa nanana naaaaaaa Hey Jude (now all the people in Chicago) At long last, T.J. and Tony had their chance to catch Sir Paul’s (Baby) Got Back tour in its final U.S. stop, in the finest city in the land. Sure, it’s the same show we heard Glen glow about in Iowa, and Casey canonize in the Twin Cities, and Mark marvel upon in the Big Easy, but Macca always smacks a little harder with a Malort and a side of giardinier’. What were Tony’s takeaways from his second-ever McCartney show? T.J.’s tidbits from his SEVENTEENTH? Tune in to find out! And maybe also discover: 🎹 Who plays the more convincing black keys: the Black Keys, or that super cute kid who did MMMBop? 🎺 Who honks the hotter horn: David Mason, or the Hot City Horns? 😲 Whose voice can hold out longer: Tony Mendoza, or some 84-year-old who’s been doing like 5 shows a week for almost 70 years?   EPISODE LINKS Like and subscribe! Beatles Anthology Collection 4 Part 2 (2025)

1-2-3-4! Can I have a little more? 5-6-7-8-9-10…instrumental versions of Beatles classics! Is this “The Hollyridge Strings Plays The Beatles”? Nope, it’s the CD and vinyl release of Anthology 4; not to be confused with Anthology 4 on Disney+, not to be confused with the largely different Anthology 4 on DVD/VHS. Make sense, fellow Calderstoners? With 13 new tracks, plus some choice (and, ahem, choice-adjacent) cuts from the recent deluxe Beatles reissues, there is much genuine Beatle joy to be be found on Anthology 4. A few tracks are revelatory! A few are kick ass! A few are fine! And a few too many, you can #FileUnderANap. Tony and T.J. look at the highs and lows, both musical and bourbon-influenced, of the most recent entry into The Beatles vast compilation canon. On this aural journey (#OhSherry #BuzzerSFX #ThatsSoloStevePerry), Tony, T.J., and P3Z-Nutz ask and answer the questions literally millions of podcast listeners are begging us to answer, which may-or-may-not-include: 🕎 Even T.J. wouldn’t be so crazy as to spend $17 + $10 shipping to order the new/weird mixes of “Free As A Bird” & “Real Love” on exclusive “milky-white” vinyl 45 from the Beatles online store, right? And if he did, he wouldn’t be super excited about it arriving in the mail any day now, referring to it as an “early self-Hanukkah gift” to help alleviate the guilt of spending even more hard earned money on the exact same maddening Anthology content, right? I SAID, RIGHT, DAMN IT? 📣 Should Tony’s mention of Chicago’s Drag City Records guarantee the UBP a free vinyl copy of Fred Armisen’s “100 Sound Effects” - now available in fine record stores everywhere? And should said free vinyl be sent directly to Meigs Field c/o Producer Casey, via expedited shipping to arrive in time for the holidays? 🚕 (Angry Chicago Guy, he’s furious): HOW COME WFLD CHANNEL 32 DON’T SHOW THE BRADY BUNCH WEEKDAYS AT 4:30 NO MORE? Beatles Anthology Collection 4 (2025)

Attention Wealthy Beatles Fans (TM)! How do you feel about 13 tracks? No, not “of whack”, as Walter Becker might have presented us, while he was still alive anyway. But rather, 13 tracks of unearthed Beatles demos & takes, nearly all of which are pure gems, now available on “Anthology 4”.   Awesome, yes? Now, how do you feel about spending $74 for a deluxe vinyl package (excuse me? SIR?) with 36 tracks of whack. Does it make you feel better to know that you’re spending that hard earned cash on 36% “new” material, and; coincidentally, (Beatles) ’64% of music you already bought on previous deluxe reissues? Good news, because as the Fat Boys once sang, “Baby you’re a rich man, too!”   Look, we like to joke around at the UBP, it’s what makes us Apple’s only legally/emotionally authorized Beatles podcast (TBD). OF COURSE we’re grateful for “new” Beatles goodies we’ve never heard before. Early takes of “Tell Me Why”! “Every Little Thing!” “In My Life”! Surely, “A4” has been curated for both the die-hard and casual Beatles fan, yes? What’s that? Oh you were expecting a “Yes, and?” Well we love improv, too. It’s our water, our oxygen, our physical fitness. In fact, improv is what makes us The Second City’s only legally/emotionally authorized Beatles podcast (TBD).   So not only do Tony & T.J. begin to deep dish “Anthology 4: Less Faster But Even More Furious”, but they yes and themselves into veritable Don knots over:   🎱🛤️ Is T.J. forcing Tony to repeatedly listen to “Reel Music” on 8-track tape considered “trafficking”, “torture”, or “a healthy 2026 resolution”?   👏 What kind of big-production, expensive, show-stopping finale does Producer Casey have planned for today’s episode?   🥗 If Tony is Statler, and T.J. is Waldorf, does that make P3Z-Nutz “Salad”? Beatles Anthology Collection 1 – 3 (2025)

It only took 29 years, but we Beatles fans finally have what we’ve all been clamoring for: instrumental “Fool On The Hill.” That’s right, Anthology 4 has arrived! Are you excited? We fans love sequels! Maybe it’s an appetizer to George Harrison’s “Early Takes Volume 2”, which is tentatively scheduled to be released sometime after we’re all dead. Fortunately, for those of us who remember the excitement for the original Anthology CD’s, the good folks at Apple have finally cleaned up the tracks from volumes 1-3. This week, Tony & T.J. instant-react to those reissues (and/or maybe remixes), in addition to previewing their full-on deep dish of Anthology 4. Along the way, the boys ask: 🤔 (Angry Chicago Guy:) HOW COME OBAMA TOOK THE MARTIN MULL SITCOM “DOMESTIC LIFE” OFF OF WOR SUPERSTATION? ANY HOW COME I CAN’T FIND “IT’S A LIVING” NO MORE? AND HOW COME NOBODY WANTS TO WATCH T.J.’S DIGITIZED COLLECTION OF ORIGINAL “DOMESTIC LIFE” EPISODES HE VCR’D FROM WBBM CHANNEL 2 BACK IN 1985? 🎹 Should the URSP’s next episode feature a deep dish on “Steel Wheels” or “Made In The Shade”? And did anyone get a little angry that the author used a compilation rather than a catalog album in the second example? Would a live album have sufficed, like “Still Life”? And can a case be made that “Flashpoint” is actually the best live Stones album, in no small part due to the presence of Chuck Leavell? 👮‍♂️ Did Family Matters’ Steve Urkel mean to take credit for 1995 Beatlemania on A-Beatles-C when he asked, repeatedly and to waves of canned/coked laughter, “Did I do that”?   EPISODE LINKS Like and subscribe! Greetings from America where it’s our annual National-Murder-A-Turkey Week! We here at the UBP Home Office at tropical Meigs Field are beyond grateful for our listeners, our friends, our UBP families, our Patreon subscribers, Kohls Black Friday deals, and US Postal workers, who deserve our respect and a damn TIP around the holidays. This week, we show our gratitude for the many Beatles and solo Beatles projects in 2025, highlighted by the recent release of “Anthology 4”, which presents an exciting chance to buy “Something” (take 39, instrumental strings only) for the second time since 2019. (Who needs “Carnival Of Light” when you can have “Something” (take 39, instrumental strings only) on TWO pricey physical reissues?) The Turkey Trottin Two share their gratitude, and discuss a litany of holiday-themed Beatles news and releases. And they absolutely never sound like grumpy old dudes who'd rather have a deluxe Rubber Soul than a full slab of Threetles vinyl! Plus, in the spirit of the holiday season, they ponder/pander: 🏳‍🌈 How bright must a fella be to boldly boycott a major store for the wrong reasons? 🍋 Does talking about The Lemonheads count as talking about The Lemon Twigs? Liverpool Drag

AT LAST, the guys are back from their fall hiatus, in which they frantically earned as much money as possible to fund the next 12 months of profit-less Beatles podcasting. However, they're still recording new episodes for the winter season. With that in mind, this week we dig back into the archives to present one of our favorite episodes that we're kind of surprised we haven't already re-run.... our 2023 Deep Dish into all things LIVERPOOL DRAG! -------- Originally released November 11, 2023 What happens when you take the energy of Beatlemania and mix it with a helping of questionably written and performed Beatles-inspired songs? You get Liverpool Drag. Not the Beatles, but an unincredible simulation! This week, Tony & T.J. examine the early 60's phenomenon of Beatle-inspired cash-in records. Are they good? Awful? Somewhere in between? The answer is, "yes". Along the way, the Drag Duo ask: 📚 Since drag shows are unarguably killing our children, is the only solution to ban more books? Because, freedumb? 1️⃣ Who’s idea was it to exclude “Little Miss Margie” from The Manchesters “Not 1” compilation? 🗓 Come March 2024, should MadTV’s Bobby Lee become eligible for the Untitled Beatles Podcast 7th Beatle Bracket? Macca in NOLA with Mark Guarino!

Legendary Chicago singer/songwriter Steve Goodman once sang of riding the rails on a train known as the City Of New Orleans. We have no idea how Chicago-based UBP listener, friend, and journalist/author Mark Guarino (Country & Midwestern, Chicago Sun Times, ABC-TV) got to the world’s greatest arena, the Smoothie King Center, to see Sir Paul rock NOLA. But, if Mark is a real Chicago guy, he’s probably still been there since the Bears won Super Bowl XX in January of 1986; unarguably the single greatest day in American history unless you hate excellence and joy. #PaytonIsTheGoat But all that matters is that Mark did manage to see Macca in one of America’s most incredible cities, and he generously reported back on the show and the scene for the rest of us. At an extremely exorbitant fee, I might add. $12,000 for an audio field piece? In this economy, Mark??? Tony & T.J. will give their highly anticipated (editor’s note: by whom?) recap after they see McCartney in Chicago over Thanksgiving week, you turkeys; but in the meantime we’re excited to share another in our continuing series of the UBP Hive seeing Sir Paul live in 2025. We also ask the tough questions that only OAN has the balls to ask, because they’re also insane, just not in a healthy and fun way: 🏈 If Mark Guarino were really former J-E-T-S QB Mark Sanchez, would he have tried to randomly murder an older truck driver during “Dance Tonight”? 🎺 Does Macca traveling with a horn section cause an existential crisis for Paul “Wix” Wickens? And do most of us who’ve been loyal in our jobs for decades now need to worry about being replaced with a horn section? Like, is Paul’s horn section really a metaphor for AI? We talkin’ about practice? Not the game? (🧀 Angry Chicago Guy:) How come Paul don’t sing no parody of “Obsession”, the Animotion pop hit from 1984 but call it “Concession”, about not letting me buy no nachos during “My Valentine”? And how come the woke smoothie arena don’t got no sodium-free nacho cheese, my wife Diane gave me diabetes during the series finale of “Benson” and I can’t eat that junk no more?   EPISODE LINKS Like and subscribe! All-Star Beatle Batting Orders - U.S. Edition!

Cricket’s for the birds. It’s October (or was October as of pressing) and the only bats that belong within spitting distance of Capitol Records are made in Louisville right in the heart of the ol’ U.S. of A. To celebrate the end of another season of America’s pastime, somehow currently dominated by Canadians (#2025), T.J. and Tony resurrect Producer Casey’s most confusing episode concept: THE BEATLE BATTING ORDER — this time constructing their lineups exclusively from stateside releases. Between mouthfuls of peanuts and Cracker Jacks, we wonder: ⚾️ ❄ Is Paul actually a Mets fan, or is Darryl Strawberry just his dealer? ⚾️ 🐓 Who’s the superior mascot: The San Diego Chicken, or the Untitled Beatles Jimmie Nicol? ⚾️ ❌ [Drunk Chicago Guy] How come we still ain’t heard the lost recordings of Kirby Puckett and the Left Field Gap?   EPISODE LINKS Like and subscribe! Macca in Minneapolis (2025)

Minneapolis! Home of Prince, “Mary Tyler Moore”, and arguably the most exciting NBA player today, Joe Ingles. And of late, it’s home to Producer Casey; who recently took advantage of a last minute opportunity to see Sir Paul McCartney (heard of him, “Beatle fan?”). It’s Casey’s second Macca concert, and, arguably, first-ever concert. Figure that one out, math! Casey reports back with special inside information (that’s a lie) from where the mini-apple’s mediocre/stupid football team plays (GO BEARS), with news on the Hot City Horns, Minny Moms who Lap Dance, and the still-growing legend of rock’s GOAT. Along the way, the Untitled Trio get a special message from our social media guru Glenny the K, who just saw Paul at Producer Casey’s famous pizzarena. Plus, they also ask: 🍔 Is seeing Macca in Des Moines and not eating a Drake Diner burger doused in homemade 1000 island dressing beforehand meant to be a huge middle finger to T.J.? Or does it just come off that way because of the ongoing paranoia? 🎷Would rock history have been vastly different or exactly the same if someone gave Stan Bronstein a keyboard with a bad saxophone patch in 1972? ⚾️ Do the kewl kids still play marry/f**k/kill with Gary Puckett, Kirby Puckett, and Wilson Pickett?   EPISODE LINKS Like and subscribe! And Tony… is an accommodating podcast partner. While we wax rhapsodic on Wings, we also wonder: 👗 Does his love of “Hot Rocks” mean Tony’s a housewife and/or little girl? 🌯 Which is the more iconic Chicago eatery: Mr. Submarine, Pockets, or Kenny Rogers Roasters? 🥃 [Drunk guy’s back at the bar] You tryna tell me that Starbucks album with the ukuleles ain’t a greatest hits record?   EPISODE LINKS Like and subscribe! The Songs the Beatles Gave Away

The guys are on a brief hiatus this week, but we proudly present this all-time favorite of ours from back in 2021! ----- Originally released August 14 and 21, 2001 Not every Lennon and McCartney tune made its way onto a Beatles record, but that didn’t mean they had to hide away gathering dust, only to be released on some future 20-disc rarities box set. The greatest songwriting duo in history also kicked some of their work over to other artists making their names in the 60s—Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas, Cilla Black, the Fourmost, some scrappy Londoners calling themselves the Rolling Stones, etc.—and this week T.J. and Tony share some of their four-fab faves the Beatles gave away. And maybe also a couple of tossers. While they’re at it, they also made some time to: Record a pilot episode for the Untitled TV Guide Podcast* Play a game of "Bob Gaudio, James Guercio, or Joe Guercio?" And reveal their long-guarded secret that Tony and T.J. were, in fact, Chad, Jeremy, Peter, Gordon, Jan, AND Dean. Buckle up! It's gonna be a two parter. * Please no stealing our amazing podcast ideas -- In this thrilling conclusion, T.J. and Tony get Lost in Space (and Portugal) while rummaging thru the songs John, Paul and George gave to other artists—P.J. Proby, Mary Hopkin, Badfinger, Jackie Lomax and more. The embarrassment of riches is sure to send you into a lap slappin’ frenzy. As usual, the fellas pose hard-hitting questions such as: Which performance trick did Paul McCartney nick from Barry Manilow? Who is the most famous member of Hollywood Vampires? Do they have the rodeo in the United Kingdom? Plus cameo appearances by local plumbers from Tony’s crackerbox palace. Ringo Live in 2025!

Riverside.FM is proud (neither legally nor officially) to present (allegedly) Chuck Swirsky and The Untitled Beatles Podcast! Brought to you (someday?) by Westmont’s incredible Blue Village Vinyl. And when not spending gobs of sweet improv cash in Chicagoland’s many fine vinyl establishments, you can often find the UBP Two doing the next best thing: seeing Ringo Starr And His Approximately Infinite All Starr Band, live in Chicago! Every “real” Beatles fan is aware that the Chicago Theater’s most famous moment was when Donny Osmond pranced the stage nightly in a coat of many colors back in 1995. (Trivia: That’s what killed a ton of old people that summer. #HeGone) But not anymore. Because Ringo Starr in 2025 has never sounded better, supported by a loyal, accomplished band who still rocks hard. Sometimes, for too long! So join Tony, T.J., Ringo, some true all-stars, a replacement player (e.g. “scab”) or two, and a few great UBP listeners, for some spirited/spirits-filled conversation, and highly illegal concert audio that can rather easily be traced back to the phone on which it was recorded. LOL! So in the interest of free speech, and praying our billion dollar merger with Sinstar Media goes through, let’s ignore dumb legalities/norms and instead misdirect with inane questions, like: 💨🔥 Is the original “gaslighting” when Aerosmith released the exact same #1 song 17 times in the 90’s? 🍏🤑 Do people with CDS (Calderstone Derangement Syndrome) know they’re actually in a cult, cruelly brainwashed by Big Apple? ✂🎂 Would the Average White Band have been more successful if they’d stopped being so damn bossy all the time?   EPISODE LINKS Like and subscribe! The Beatles at White Sox Park (1965) with Fred Ciba!

F**k’d up world, ain’t it Untitled Beatle People? Like all rational weirdos, we’re fed up with the fascism that (as of this writing) has removed Jimmy Kimmel from the airwaves. We stand with a fellow comic and avowed Beatles/Letterman stan, and against both censorship and emotionally crippled, diabolical jag bags. Fortunately… we have the perfect antidote to the state of the world, as we go back through the mists of time (cue “The Long & Winding Road” from “Tripping The Live Fantastic”)…to a time they call the 60’s (…more magic piano blues noodling…) and welcome a die-hard, O.G. Beatles fan and Chicago legend, “Beatle” Fred Ciba! From being at the Beatles historic Chicago shows to shopping at the Apple Boutique and visiting the original Cavern Club, Fred experienced it all, in real time. Join us as Fred provides a fascinating glimpse into the exhilaration of Beatlemania, as heard on Chicago’s bygone, legendary rock radio stations like WLS, WIND, and WCFL. Fred also puts up with a fair amount of unnecessary, and, arguably, outright disrespectful nonsense from T.J. (YA SHOCKED?) as the Gab Two also ask: 🦶 Will the standalone vinyl of “Anthology 4” feature “Now & Then” (Dave Clark Remix)? 🚘 (Angry Chicago Guy, he’s wearing a fake LaMarr Hoyt jersey): How come the Herbie Hancock building ain’t named after no talking car no more? The Beatles "Help!" (1965 Film) Part 3

Their second film is fab and gear! Untitled Peedles, Have No Fear! 2025, what a year! And our final look at “Help!” has arrived! #WeDidntWriteNoPoetry Tony, T.J., and producer P3Z-Casz put the Finnishing touchers on their “Help!” deep-dish, with a side of extra kvetching, as old, sad, deranged people do. Who doesn’t want to hear that? Are U a fan or not, pal? And, while we’re here, are you a fan of these questions? 📚 (Angry Chicago Guy, he’s up late, hoping MeTV will show ONE MORE “Hogan’s Heroes” before sunrise:) “How come Tony thinks he can name so many improv scenes on “The Bear?” Does this jagbag think he’s Del Charna? (#Runaway) And how come Mike Myers never made no movie about Del that I read about in the Reader back when Borders was on Diversy and Clark and Diane ain’t dead?” 🤦‍♂️ Why didn't T.J. get to his “super important”, underlined note about a “shockingly different” Paul vocal track in the heavily edited “The Night Before” scene? The guys recorded for like six hours, what the hell? 🐴 What about your father’s horse?   EPISODE LINKS Like and subscribe! Please support our scrappy show. The Beatles "Help!" (1965 Film) Part 2

Help! I need somebody once told me the world is filled with Kaili, but some folks call her Kylie instead. (#SmashMinogue) What does any of this have to do with the “Help!” film? Good point, Buck O(wens); but, then again, what does anything in “Help!” have to do with “Help!”? I mean, the boys are skiing, they’re fighting villains at restaurants, they legit own multiple vending machines… Talk about privilege! #DefundTheBeatles 60 years on, “Help!” presents some of the most iconic scenes and songs in any Beatles-related film not named “Broad Street”. And gentlepeople, this week, Tony & T.J. have got the tapes on “Help!”- specially, the original MPI VHS - and they begin to break down the Fab’s second movie. They also break down emotionally, as they ponder: 🍬 Does P3Z-CASZ represent a dystopian future, or merely a few (legal) edibles? 🐣 (Angry Chicago Guy, after a few Malorts and general sadness because he hasn’t seen Diane since the series finale of “ER”): HOW COME THE LONDON HARRODS DON’T SERVE NO FRIED CHICKEN LIKE THEY DO AT THE HARRODS CHICKEN SHACK ON SOUTH WABASH? AND HOW COME THESE BEATLE BOZOS MAKE SO MANY DUMB JOKES ABOUT REGIONAL CHICKEN RESTAURANTS BUT DON’T GOT THE BALLS TO SOLVE NO BROWNS MURDERS? 🎸T.J. here - real Untitled Beatle Peedles have already streamed “13 GREEN POTATOES”, the new kick-ass album from our very own MENDOZA that just dropped, right? Hot Beatle News! Anthology 2025 and Power To The People

BIG BREAKING BEATLE NEWS (from like a week ago): T.J. finally scored Ringo's VH1 Storytellers cassette from Psychic Records in Brooklyn. Lots to react to, between this development and some business about a new Anthology release and Power to the People box set. Open up those wallets and get geared up for all the grumps and gripes, as the Gab Two (+ Casey!) give Angry Drunk Chicago Guy a run for his money, with the hard hitting questions like: 💰🔥 WHERE'M I SUPPOSEDA GET 400 BUCKS FOR ANTHOLOGY VINYL WHEN I ALREADY SOLD MY WEDDING RING FOR A MACCA TICKET? 💰🔥 HOW COME THESE APPLE JAGS ARE MAKING ME BUY ANTHOLOGIES 1-3 ALL OVER AGAIN? AND REVOLVER SUPER DELUXE? AND PEPPER SUPER DELUXE? AND WHITE ALBUM SUPER DELUXE? AND ABBEY ROAD SUPER DELUXE? AND LET IT BE SUPER DELUXE? 👿🔥 WHEN'S UNTITLED H.R. GONNA FINALLY STEP IN TO END THE BULLYING CAMPAIGN AGAINST TONY MENDOZA? IF LOVIN' THE SAXOPHONE IS WRONG, MY GUY DON'T WANNA BE RIGHT. (We'll resume our "Help!" deep dish as soon as we get this out of our system. Thanks for your patience.)   EPISODE LINKS Like and subscribe! Please support our scrappy show. The Beatles "Help!" (1965 Film)

“Help!” It’s the second smash film, from the biggest band in the world, released when Beatlemania was still at its peak. It’s filled with great - and in a few cases, top-tier - Beatles music. Its cast includes well known actors, and the director was an expert in maximizing the boys comedic, personable on-screen talents. It satirizes the burgeoning Bond franchise and, it’s in color! (Take that, Boxing Day 1967 UK airing of “Magical Mystery Tour”) And yet the question must be asked all these years later: is “Help!” a classic? A great movie? Merely a good one? And in the grand scheme of Beatles excellence, what’s wrong with that? UBP’s Medved and Maltin (which one’s which??) ask these questions, and also ponder: ☠ Is Poison’s “Every Rose Has Ken Thorne” the most famous power ballad about the “Help!” incidental music composer? 🎿 Are The Skitles Obertauern’s most famous skiing-themed band? No? Cool, go ahead and name a few more, since you seem to know so much about ski-bands from Obertauern. We’ll wait. 🦁 (Angry Chicago Guy): HOW COME MACCA DEEP CUT “ZOO GANG” DIDN’T GET NO LOVE AS THE THEME SONG TO ED ASNER’S SHORT LIVED 1987 NBC DRAMA, “THE BRONX ZOO”? AND HOW COME CBS DIDN’T GIVE MARTIN MULL’S “DOMESTIC LIFE” MORE TIME TO GROW AN AUDIENCE BACK IN ’85? AND HOW COME WOR SUPERSTATION OUT OF NEW YORK DON’T SHOW “DOMESTIC LIFE” NO MORE LATE AT NIGHT AFTER MARTIN MULL DIED AND DIANE STILL AIN’T HOME FROM BOWLING LEAGUE?   EPISODE LINKS Like and subscribe! All-Star Beatle Batting Orders

WHEW! What a Fest that was! This week, the gents are catching their breath. So join us in the bleachers with a cold one, as we revisit a summertime classic. ----- Originally released August 13, 2022 It’s obvious that The Beatles first love was music. But their fabbest love was for the American sport of baseball, with its electrifying foul balls, nail-biting bunts, and contemplative rain delays. And that’s why this week, T.J. and Tony have each compiled a major league set of fab tunes to compete against one another in this All-Star Beatle Batting Order Midsommer Classic. This Week in Untitled Beatles Baseball: 🥁 After a severe brow-beating from Cubs manager Lee Elia, is pinch drummer Jimmie Nicol getting sent down to the minors? 🔮 Did superstitious T.J.’s “8-Track Only” fast cause him to make a crucial Sgt. Pepper fielding error? 🐅 Should Tony "Bullethead" Mendoza have gotten ejected for trying to doctor the “Bungalow Bill”? Plus another edition of Star’s Search!   EPISODE LINKS Like and subscribe! The Beatles Live at Essen (1966)

This week, Tony and T.J. step aside and hand their mics over to Eurotrash broadcast sensations Glücklich und Froh, recording LIVE from the Grugahalle in Essen, Mutter Deutschland. Listen along as they dig into the recently surfaced bootleg board recordings from the start of the Beatles’ 1966 world tour. Was it sloppy? Was it rock n roll? It sure was feelin’ dank. While they’re at it, the Zwei Zornzwerge wander off the autobahn and wonder: 🥊 Which Peter would you take in a fist fight: Brady or Gordon? 🥊 Which “Got To Get You Into My Life” would you take in a fist fight: Cliff Bennett and the Rabble Rousers, or Blood, Sweat & Tears? 🥃  [Angry drunk Chicago guy] How come EMI still ain’t released the bootleg board recordings from the St. Peter’s Woolton’s Parish Church fete? Untitled Beatles Summer News Extravaganza

When did the news become so awful? A: 2015. That was more of a rhetorical question, but you’re 100% correct. It was 2015. So after 10 YEARS of doom-scrolling our collective souls (#shine) into a revolting, malodorous tarpit of human despair (access to misery included for a small monthly surcharge), how can the news be worth our time? A: When it’s SUMMER BEATLE NEWS!!! That’s why this week T.J. and Tony catch up on a romantic hammock and muse freely on the latest from the Land of Fab. And as they sway to the calm breezes of the Beatleverse, it rocks them to sleep #FileUnderRock, conjuring delightful afternoon visions… 🛋️ Settling into his fireside armchair, T.J. enjoys an aperitif of Martini & Rossi while cracking into the 26-Volume Encyclopedia of Press To Play by Luca Perasi, with foreword by Danny Zuko from Grease. 🐐 At a White Hen Pantry, Tony tries a new slushie flavor: Lemon Twig, which elicits an acute case of brain freeze. Channeling Sexy Sadie, he recites a MANTRA OF THE COSMOS, and hovers above a display of various Ringo reissues from the 00s. In his trancelike state, Tony pitches/pesters the clerk about selling “Tom Green-flavored condoms”…for GOATS! 🍺 It’s last call at Ratcatcher’s Tavern. There, leaning on the edge of the bar like it’s his only friend (it is), the Angry Drunk Chicago guy launches into his latest Ted Talk: HEY IF HE’S SO SMART HOW KUM DAT MEATHEAD ROB REINERSDORF WASN’T IN DA MOVIE ABOUT MEATBALLS?? (belch) YA KNOW... (fart) DOZ MURRAY BRUTHERSSS OWE ME BIG TIME. CUZ GHOSTBUTLERS WUZ MY IDEA... "Yesterday and Today" (1966) Side 2

Maybe, just maybe, "Yesterday"...And Today, was a modern-day Robin Hood (Men In Tights). Sure it stole from the rich, in this case, the U.K. "Revolver". But it also gave to the poor, in this case, American Baby Boomers, whose dreams would eventually be crushed under the weight of their own selfish interests from a life unfulfilled. Anyhoo! The Gab 2 dissect this essential Capitol album, and butcher both facts and myths as they discuss it and more, like: 🗑 If you're a Sanford, and your son isn't in trash, are you super pissed? 🌫 When did Tony become such an expert on pricey London Town neighborhoods? 🍎 Will the deluxe reissue of Dark Horse include the rare demo of George's quite personal raga, "Goiter In His Gut"?   EPISODE LINKS Like and subscribe! "Yesterday and Today" (1966) Side 1

Bill Miller isn’t just Texas’ fastest growing BBQ joint this side of that one suburban Manila Kenny Rogers Roasters. No, sir/ma’am! Once upon a time, Bill Miller traded in his Texas, wet-rub BBQ stained hands to prepare something better and more culturally significant than chick’n: a U.S. Beatles album! Longtime Capitol butcher Dave Dexter was (allegedly) too busy running Nixon’s campaign to assemble a Beatles album comprised of songs left-over from the British albums “Help”, “Rubber Soul”, and ripped from the not yet released “Revolver”. So that job fell to Bill Miller, the fast-growing Texas BBQ joint. HEARD OF IT, LIB? #Freedumb And in the process, the infamous - yet famously fun-to-spin - final U.S. capitol album of “new” material was released: Yesterday…And Today. (a.k.a. “Yesterday...And Today” for you cassette freaks! We see you! We are you!) This week, Tony & T.J. begin a deep dish of this classic, million selling Beatles album, which was unavailable and out of print from 1992-2014. Along the way, they ask the questions that only two guys with this much weirdo time on their hands would ask, like: 🐭 (Angry Drunk Chicago Friend - he’s mad because none of youz bought a new shirt with his mug on it yet, they’re available on Tee Public or the UBP website you jagbags): How come Disney’s too woke to let me learn how to make an AI of Minnie Mouse singing “A Wank Is A Wink Your Fart Makes”? 🍔 Where’s Herb? And where’s Herb’s beef? 🍻 Do Redneck White Sox fans drink (Pabst) Blue Ribbon beer before they beat the daylights out of a defenseless, elderly first base coach?   EPISODE LINKS Like and subscribe! "Backbeat" Soundtrack (1994)

“Nevermind”. “Ten Summoners Tales“. “The Backbeat Soundtrack”. Sensing a theme here, fellow alt-rocker? Perhaps more than any other record not named “The River Of Dreams", these three albums are at the very heart of the alt rock/grunge/post-chillwave scene. Going to Metro in 1994? Better bring your cassingle of “Fields Of Barley”. Because at Metro, they don’t take American Express. And yet, of all the great grunge albums, none is grungier than the motion picture soundtrack of “Backbeat”. Was (not was) that a little too much? Cut me some slack! The Backbeat Soundtrack really does have some of the early 90’s most notable alt rockers, tearing through a selection of early rock standards that the pilled-up, live Beatles once adored. This week, Tony & T.J. travel back to a time when the world was still mourning the painful assassination of “Cheers”, and ask about Backbeat: Does the soundtrack hold up? Did it ever? Did Wilson Phillips hold on for one more day? Is our angry Chicago friend still upset that they closed the Phillips gas station on Wilson in 1982? AND HOW COME CHANNEL 9 STOPPED RUNNING “PHYLLIS” IN STRIP SYNDICATION ON WEEKDAY AFTERNOONS, IS CLORIS LEACHMAN’S TONED ARMS TOO WOKE FOR SKILLING? And is one full-length paragraph of questions the new format going forward for these blurbs? I mean, does anyone even read these? If so, stay tuned all holiday weekend to Appleton’s Home For F**K Rock, WFUK, 96.69 FM. Kathy and Judy will return, in oil, after these words from the Sheboygan County Correctional Center and Drive Thru.   EPISODE LINKS Like and subscribe! Please support our scrappy show.
