    Brayan Pagoada | Director of Organizing @ CUFFH Brayan is a queer-identifying, Afro-Latinx & youth immigrant from Honduras who has been fighting for LGBTQ+ power all his life. Growing up with a homophobic family, he moved to the United State at the age of 13 as an unaccompanied minor and has spent the past 8 years since not only educating himself, but also growing from nonprofit member, to community leader, to full time organizer. Brayan is a joyful organizer and has worked tirelessly to ensure that organizing is inclusive of Black, Brown, Indigenous, LBGTQ+, and immigrant communities across New York City. In his work he believes that housing is a human right and that all New Yorkers regardless of their income level or immigration status deserve to live in a home that is safe, affordable and permanent. Churches United for Fair Housing (CUFFH) is a grassroots advocacy organization rooted in faith and community spaces that provides affordable housing services and integrated social resources. CUFFH organizes our working-class BIPOC communities around issues of housing, immigration, social, and economic justice to generate power and harness true liberation.
